No problem :) and sometimes it is better when a grader spread the gravel self, here for example, the grader spread the gravel the manhole cover around.
Very impressive! What is the thing on the right side of the mouldboard? It looks like a shield that can be moved? I think I see hydraulic hoses going to it, but I've never seen a moveable shield.
It's called a slobber bit. It's used to keep the material in front of the blade. That way, more material can be spread in front of the blade and not cast off to the side.
25mfd Thank you - I tried googling the term, but only found "slobber bits" as a part on the cutting edge of of bowls and pans. But I understand what it does on the grader - would be interested in seeing it being moved - I assume it swivels out of the way for normal operation?
YensR Yes, the wing goes in and out according to operational needs. In this case they wanted to spread the material out evenly. Without those wings, the material would naturally be cast off to one side creating a row of material (called a windrow) You can check out other you tube vids showing when a windrow IS desired. But in this case it wasn't desired.
25mfd Thanks again. Yes, I've heard of windrows and know a bit about their placement between/outside of the tyres. (I built my own scale model of a grader, now I want that wing :D ) I've seen similar shields before, but they looked much less professional and were not movable. Neat stuff.
One of my favorite pieces of equipment, love them on a job site.
Tusen takk!!
Отличная работа отличного грейдера.
why do your trucks not spread the gravel for you??
I don't understand why the truck didn't just dump as he go?
Shut up! This is work.
Slow down.. It was more a question then anything? ankhaa battulga no need to be sensitive
because graders can push very good, they are very strong machines :) But it is better when the grader use for that the dozer blade too.
Thanks appreciate it andrea198132 +ankhaa battulga so sensitive.

looks wierd in comparison to aussie versions, the weighted rear end instead of rippers and the individual guards on the wheels. looks nice though
far easier to get a good finish if its spread nicely first thou
Fint klipp och maskiner
