I bought a beautiful black IM ballpoint with blue accents for daily use. I like how it writes and have used up the first cartridge. I also love how it feels in my hand and often find myself playing and twirling it, partly because its always in my pocket with me. Then i saw that the fountainpen version of it was on sale for like 40 euro's so i got it on a bit of an impulse. I hope it will serve me well for a first fountain pen, but i admit i mostly got it because it looks really cool with my other ballpoint. I want to get into writing more letters by hand to reflect so i hope this pen will serve me well to start, but i guess i will see in a couple of months!
There are many Parker models that have been made with similar characteristics. Parker nibs can be quirky, especially the steel nibs but this pen has a nice flow.
I have both versions, the one produced before 2016 and the one produced after 2016, but in terms of design, the older version is better looking out of the 2, but the new version is a pen that writes much better in my opinion, i would dare to say that it actually writes better than Parker Sonnet.
I still have this pen available for sale, if you are interested please give me a dm over instagram @awritingguy or awritingguy@gmail.com so we can arrange the logistics :) An
Our wedding pens were Parker IMs. Would like to write more with mine, just for the sentimental value, but it drys out quicker than any other pen I own. A long cartridge falls dry in it within 3-4 days. Is there any way of getting a proper seal for the cap?
Yes, this is the IM version that Parker has produced until 2016, after 2016 Parker released a new version with a different design, not only the nib, but in general the whole design was modified a bit.
Older parker 51s would get my vote.
I'd love to see more of your writing the right way up so I could study your wonderful letter formation.

Waterman does actually still make good fountain pens. Really hoping to get my hands on a Waterman Carene sometime next year.
Very nice handwriting. Cursive 👍👍👍

Try sealing the hole under the clip.
@@krzysztofwozny9742 The IM has no such hole. The Jotter has. The IM has riveted finneal that is simply not air tight.
@@mrk131324 It has.
it has, i have one, and it has beneath the clip. I closed it with silicon but by bending the clip I messed the clip up.

Is this a Montblanc ink?
GATAFFTY for blasting Parker pens.
