These chimps seem to have a really nice outdoor habitat; good to see. Lots of space for them to climb and forage and interact in a natural way.

おねむの赤ちゃん可愛いですねー🥰ベテランママですがやはりこちらも高齢出産なのでちょっと心配もあります。特別食でたっぷり栄養取らないと母乳で痩せ細ってしまいますからね。ハルちゃんは妹が産まれて嬉しさ半分、寂しさ半分でしょうね。赤ちゃん返りなんて人間もしますから乗り越えるしかありません😅もう少し大きくなれば一緒に遊べますね♪頑張れ！ハルちゃん😘

サチコも以前は子育てのできない状況でしたから、それを考えると今が信じられない状況でしょう。

The mother looks so unhealthy. I questioned why the zoo would allow that pregnancy to happen?
So so Precious! Mama is an Experienced Mother who will take great care of her baby! Members of the group will be willing to help out too, long before Mama allows it! The Chimps hair loss is not Alopecia, its from Stress and Nervous Tension! The Zoos that have No Outdoor enclosure with Dirt and Grass, and keep the Chimps in Damp Concrete & Steel cages that are FILTHY suffer from Serious Hair Loss! They call it Alopecia, but its NOT! It's from the Mental Torture and Anguish a Chimp suffers when forced to live in such Filthy Miserable Conditions! Chimps are very Clean Animals! Grooming and Cleaning themselves and Others! Ykohama Zoo has 1 of the TOP 2 Outdoor enclosures in Japan! Them and TAMA ZOO are the BEST! These Chimps are fine healthy looking specimens. Mama's a bit Old, but that's Quite OK! 🙂 These are Captive Chimps! No Matter HOW CLOSE Man tries to reproduce their Habitat, and how good the Chimps do in it, They're NOT in the WILD! THIS ALONE causes Tension & Stress in Chimpanzees! Chimps were Born to Roam & Forage! Run & Roll, Climb & Swing, High Up in the Tree Tops, and on the Ground! NOT IN CONCRETE & STEEL CAGES! Thank you, too.Previously, she was unable to raise children because she was used for animal experiments. Poor chimpanzee.

Why would they allow her to get pregnant in that shape, she should have been on birth control. Thats not fair treatment to her and the baby. Yes its wonderful to see a new Baby but just pray that this baby doesn't get sick.
It's actually better for someone like her to give birth that's already had four babies and knows how to take care of them and has proven to be a good mother. She will be just fine the baby couldn't have a better mother.

They probably did have her on hormonal birth control, but it doesn't always work, and separating chimps from their companions always causes them a huge amount of stress. So they just have to take the risk of unplanned pregnancies sometimes happening.
