in all honesty, they do usually use a loud backing track for most of their performances, pretending that they're singing completely live. you can tell that they're lipsyncing in lots of their stages these days, which is pretty unfortunate. i can't blame them though because their choreos are really hard so it's difficullt to not sound out of breath while performing. that's why it's easier to sing live ad sound the same during encore is because they're not dancing.
