Hello! I have enjoyed very much watching all of your videos on watchmaking! I am a second generation watchmaker of my family and i am always fascinated to seeing a watch that is made entirely by hand like your watches, sir! The making of the Daniels watch dial is absolutely amazing to me. Many thanks and hope to view more videos of your fantastic workmanship! Sincerely, Jason.
Thanks so much sharing these videos. I've always found your (and GDs) engine turned dials to be one of the most attractive features of your watches. I have the Martin Matthews book on engine turning, and of course 'Watchmaking', but these videos are a really useful addition to the information on this topic. Are the machines shown in your videos especially designed or intended for watch dial and case work, or are they more 'general purpose' machines ?
Mr. Smith, thank you for uploading these informative videos. They were a large part in my inspiration to attend watchmaking school.
Such a great series of videos, nicely explained at a perfect pace
