Small tip, as for the grip. There are 2 grips that give +4 control, but based on the descriptions, there is one that give horizontal control (which is always superior as vertical control can be compensated with mouse drag). I always go for the grip that give horizontal control if it is available in the gun.
Can we just have a moment of silence for EA/DICE’s incompetence:but also in respect for this absolutely fantastic gun attachment system that destroys most that have come before it More thought and effort was put into the way attachments alter weapons than all of BF 2042 as an entire game.

Deadass, after I finally finished tweaking all my settings, I literally spent at least an hour and a half just setting up a couple classes for two of the operators before I even played my first match
Nice video Enders! I don’t like calibration though. It broke MW2 because it is overwhelmingly exhausting to be adjusting. I would say a fine adjustment increasing 1% is okay, but more than that is exhausting to be honest. They gotta be careful towards meta and calibration. This can make or break the gun fight. People are still starting to realize what the meta is, all of the sudden the Warzone feeling will flood. And I can tell it is not good hahaha
I had started to figure this out the more I played. People won't like it, but i suggested that they add a little bit of spread to weapons. This sort of setup will become the meta for most automatic weapons, and this whole customization may become very stagnant over time. Hip fire (and ads speed to a degree) doesn't matter in a game with such long engagement distances. Everything will be a laser and there will be no variety in anything lol Same with drum mags. Theyre the meta in 2042 and i dont think they're a great inclusion. There is literally no downside. You dont have to make any interesting choices.
It would incentivize tap firing at distance too rather than hold left click to win. I also think this could help balance out LMGs by giving them less spread at distance compared to ARs or SMGs.
@TheBrick534 agreed. People are so against spread in modern shooters, but DICE put it in BF3 and 4, and for the most part, they did an excellent job. It helps reign in engagement distances so they're not absurd. Ultimately, I love this gunsmith system. But they may need to iterate on it over time, or there will be no interesting choices nor variety in builds. Going full laser beam will always be the best choice.
You basically nailed it. I don’t like this system as well. Not to mention the skill gap is basically not existing. The length of attachment selection is fine, the amount of changes they provide is the problem, however. On top of that, calibration. Enders already showed a Scar-H 7.62 can be laser beam. A 7.62…
I agree. There's no need to burst and it's just going to be hold mouse one at any distance, which is pretty much the same as 2042. People will get sick of it pretty quick.
I suppose their reasoning for the riser ADS handling buff is that when shouldered the sight will already be physically raised up closer to eye level therefore reducing the time needed to get bring your gun/face to an equal level to look through the sight. It's so dumb but it almost kind of makes sense
I hope you'll never lose your passion about what you're doing. Been following you for some time and im a huge fan of you putting it to work every damn time with every game you play.
for ARs close to mid range I usually go with any attachments focusing on stacking control and stability. high control is basically laser beam already and stability just compliments it. if you're going for CQB hipfire and fast ads gunfights stack accuracy and handling. for SRs I have the most success with the AWM and the M700 with stacking a ton of stability and range.
I built the Scar just like you out of curiosity and as I thought I didnt get the same stability than you. I dont know what else youre using buddy but the scar has horizontal recoil and a bit of vertical recoil when doing continues fire.
Stability while breathing over control? seems like you've binded hold breath to your ADS button so that you're doing both at the same time all the time? if not what bind do you use to use like that while holding breath?
I tried your method on several weapons. If you attach sights that give zoom between 1.00x-1.50x, it is very nice. Too little recoil, it's managable. But when the zoom goes over 1.50x, there is an uncontrollable recoil (Except SR-25 oc). I found my own M4A1 setup more balanced between close and long range (By long range I mean 200m-500m) compared to your suggestion. I use 1.5/5x adjustable scope and I get very stable results when I fire at long range enemies in semi-automatic mode and i don't use "holding breath" mechanic. In your suggested M4A1 build, i found long range is very difficult even in semi-automatic fire mode. (My configured M4A1 share code - "M4A1 Assault Rifle-5620492343548332784-Havoc Warfare" ). I would like you to try and compare. I sometimes challange snipers with this build in semi-auto. Also, I think that when I try out weapon customizing and other people's settings, I see how balanced the weapon customizing system is. When you try to maximize one feature, you have to sacrifice other features. This balance is very nice about the game. Thanks to this, I hope we don't see "meta" weapon settings in the future.
