Often referred to as “Europe’s #1 Rock Show,” Countdown was on-the-air for 16 years (1977-1993), and was broadcast in 18 countries, making it one of the most successful music shows in the history of television.
The archive contains over 3,000 hours of musical performances, interviews and concert appearances by the greatest rock, R&B, pop, new wave and rap/hip-hop artists of the era, including: Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, U2, Michael Jackson, The Police, David Bowie, Beastie Boys, George Harrison, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Run-DMC, Depeche Mode, Culture Club, Duran Duran, Blondie, The Cure, R.E.M., and thousands more.
Reelin’ In The Years Productions has available for licensing over 20,000 hours of music footage spanning 90 years. One of the best bands. The arrangements were incredible beautiful.
They are both adorable. Roland seems to be the mover and shaker. Dude's got rhythm. They are awesome. Love their voices.

tv made every single band lip sync back then, we all know very well they could and still CAN SING LIVE perfectly fine
The reason why they did so was because most of those studios didn't have the facilities to have the bands play for real, plus if you look at all the sound checks and line checks which had to be done before a band would play, wouldn't make it very economical for a live TV show.

So true, that's exactly the way I describe them. Curt was the pretty boy and Roland was the cool boy with swag. They had and have a chemistry together, great to look at and listen to.

Tears for fears. I will never forget this day October 4, 1985. I saw them on the songs from the big chair tour. It was at radio city music hall in nyc. I remember the adventures opening up for them. Both bands were awesome

Qué músicas, que melodías maravillosas de esta banda TFF que no deja de sorprenderme y seducirme.
Roland, sin ninguna duda su identidad, tipo vocal es inconfundible, un verdadero regalo de Dios, es extraordinaria, tiene alcances de barítono y sus agudos tienen una densidad más lírica y por eso no suena irritante, o sea, tiene los elementos claves para un timbre vocal admirable y cautivante.
La forma que TFF , desde siempre, mezcló todos los diferentes instrumentos... pocas , muy pocas bandas han sido capaces de hacer eso . Son obras primas de la música.
TFF fue, es y siempre será una de las mejores bandas del mundo.

in concert's they didn't lip sync to this song, only when they were on live television. but that's only because they made them lip sync. top of the pop did that to every artist, same with this 'countdown'.

Tremenda banda. Obvio que es un play back. Pero para que esa banda suene bien en vivo necesitan un despliegue de equipamiento que seguramente ese estudiucho no debe tener ni puede pagar. Horas y horas de prueba de sonido. Por eso hacrn play back, no es que no les guste tocar. Tampoco se van a quemar tocando con un equipito de sonido pedorro.
