- Just an update on where we are with the EG after Brands Hatch Super Touring Power round of CTCRC Thunder Championship… Great results with 2 first place finishes a third and a 7th and 2 lap records. We are now leading the Thunder Championship 💪🏻 But, lots to fix before the next round 🙈

Was @ brands for the super touring this thing was flying, shame about the Sunday see it leaving the track with a cloud of mist following
Yeah amazingly it still ran fine once it had water back in it 😅
Managed to get to supertouring power on the Sunday and to be honest despite your cars issues, still looked the fastest thing on track! Great work chaps, my dad enjoyed watching it too and he doesnt like anything! The supertoureres on the sunday were pants, not alot of them ran.
I have a DC -2r type that I blew the head gasket on at a track day and I took it apart and the person that built the car engine before I bought it installed a turbo kit and he had a sleeve stiffener put in. That was very low quality so I sent the block off to Dalton East. Here in the US and had some Dalton sleeves put it on it. They're good for high horsepower and high clamping on that head gasket can be achieved with aftermarket bolts which you probably have. That was my saga and I can push probably 20 psi on the boost but I only push 15 to 18. I don't know how many horsepower that is but it's it's plenty enough for me. The previous owner said that he was pushing 700 and it's just seems too much for a stock crankshaft and lower end.
Money money 💰 sadly but what results you manage with what you’ve got great to see and hope you get it sorted soon enough 👍
Great VT Pete 🏁🏎️
Great pedalling buddy
You need to have another engine and transmission ready to swap out one that's been gone through. Yeah that's easy for me to say
🔥😎🤙HCR
Was there a drop in midrange with the new intake manifold vs the old RSP?
Can you show a dyno graph comparing the two intake manifolds?
Not significantly no, but that could be due to whatever is wrong with this motor…
Head gasket caused overheating or overheating broke head gasket?
21psi of boost on open deck block in a racing environment seems to make the gasket start to fail between cylinders, even though we had a fancy O ring gasket.
@@petelawton-hcr_works6059 yeah makes sense. I guess that’s why you are lowering boost as going closed deck at same boost would probably cause more overheating issues
