    Unbelievable. You wouldn’t believe how many people have this exact same problem. You couldn’t of imagined how many children’s lives would’ve changed by making this simple video. Our little Leap Frog has been with us since the beginning and we didn’t want to throw it away even if it didn’t work. This was the exact problem! Thank you so much for sending this message in a bottle on UA-cam!

    After contacting the company I was informed the toy is unrepairable and they do not have a service center. My buttons stoped working and it repeats number 4. I took it all apart to see if there was a broken wire or damage or dirt but nothing. It actually upsets me that these toys go to waste so easily. Just another example of how products these days don't last. I don't think I'll purchase Leapfrog toys anymore.
    Your video was very informative.

    • @mgnxtn
      @mgnxtn  4 роки тому +1

      Oh no, Im sorry to hear that the buttons aren't working properly. I wish I could help...but not brave enough to take this one apart if it's not broken...lol. Definitely not right that the company can just stop repairing certain products of theirs...😡
      Can't say that I blane you for feeling that way.
      Thanks...😁

      Something else you could try is cleaning it with qtips and rubbing alcohol. The rubbing alcohol won't damage anything and will evaporate really quickly. It's worth a shot anyway.

      Yay!! I think the toy companies set them up like this on purpose. Wires not long enough so they disconnect and stop functioning. Not everyone will take a toy apart to see if it can be fixed so it will then be replaced...win for them.

    "2-in-1 LeapTop Touch", does the "2-in-1" mean it can be folded 360° or does it have a user-detachable keyboard? And it's kinda mind-blowing, they designed a monochrome touchscreen with backlit when other companies usually use a color LCD or color OLED to make a touchscreen 🤯🤯🤯

    So my thing wasn’t flipping from computer mode to tablet mode so I was trying to figure that out from a video and even though your video wasn’t about that specific thing it did help me out. Although I thing you might have put it back together wrong and ended up where I started. If so when you have the tablet closed you need the screen facing out when you put it back together not in or the mechanism won’t work right. Thanks for the video though I got mine fixed!

    • @mgnxtn
      @mgnxtn  2 роки тому

      The screen can close facing in or out. Chances are the cables inside are preventing the mechanisms from rotating properly. I'd suggest using electrical tape to keep them bound together and out of the way, but, keep enough slack for the screen to move.

    • @joanappel9223
      @joanappel9223 5 років тому

      It's lubricant in the two mechanisms - one is the gear that makes the screen section flip over (just keeps that rack & pinion meshing correctly), and the other is hinge lubricant around the metal section that hinges the laptop side... nothing to worry about, it's just fine.
