No. Not even close. Replace torrential tribute with house of adhesive tape and every 800+ monster. Edit: the 6* 2400 atk monster is also way above your duelist level.
Looking back at the deck list, they really just decided not to give this deck 7 colored fish. They gave him all the vanillas, except the one that would actually make a difference
The thing with Mako is that his deck only works with Duelist Kingdom rules. I'm sure those three wishes make Flying Fish OP in that format so of course he's running max copies.
They could have just ran Legendary Ocean, Terraforming, the Ritual set, and a crap load of 5 star monsters, and the brick factor would STILL be more worth the trouble than whatever strategy this thing was supposed to accommodate.
It blows my mind, that the game tries to deceive the player, that Mako's Deck is worth using because it is a recipe. In a game, where the ban list is just a suggestion at best, this feels like John Konami was just trying to mess with the player.
The decks are just bad because it's only really intended to be used for the story duel. I have no idea why they all give you deck recipes, they're pretty much all like this. Suboptimal crap used to replicate anime duels. Even yugiboomers could tell you this is garbage for an Umi deck. It's stuffed full of bad vanilla monsters, and a ritual monster that's almost identical in power to a 1 tribute monster IN THE SAME DECK.
Imagine if heart of the cards meant draw until you find the out you need rather than willing the card you need to the top of the deck XD Also, my vote for the most satisfying moment in all of the duel monsters anime has to be the Atem versus weevil from the seal of oricalcos arc. Draw, Monster cardo!
50:22 you called him summoning an extra piece of Exodia thinking he only had 2 or 3 pieces and I thought to myself he probably only needs one more and it’d be funny if he drew it on the next turn and what do you know… lmao that was harsh you had the momentum going to finally win and the game said nope.
It took Konami a while to understand that ritual decks are really bad if you don't give them a metric fuckload of search power, and a way to circumvent how costly it is just to summon a ritual monster. I'm sure everyone who went minus 3 to send a vanilla beatstick into a Mirror Force or a Man Eater Bug felt really good about their life choices.
@@kinnikuboneman Sunflora can be useful and it's mostly its bad speed stat and low defense that really pull it down since it makes it a slow glass cannon (which is the opposite of what you want a glass cannon to be). But yeah with a base stat of 30 in everything training a Sunkern is like training a Magikarp that can't evolve and that has IVs of 0 in the two stats Magikarp is actually good at (defense and speed).
Man, the quality of Legacy of the Duelist's presentation almost rivals the Duel Masters games'. Yeah, the actual card game mechanics are what's actually important here but it still looks SO incredibly cheap.
Mako's deck was probably better before established rules. "You can't see or hit my monsters, they're all underwater!"
"My grandpa's deck has no weak cards Kaiba!" *draws card* "...this isn't my grandpa's deck!"
We've also seen some pretty bad Kaiba decks in some of the reverse duels in LotD.
at least your mom didnt work at the card shop on an island and you got a deck of monsters you cant even summon
I love the line of “Game! I’m not playing with Yugi’s deck I’m playing with something worse”
This is a Reshef of Destruction deck with the starting deck capacity.

This brings back memories of the original Hour of Exodia. “Stay aggressive” indeed.

Giant red seasnake is almost the same card and is in the deck.
7 Colored fish is the best card in all of Duel Monsters, so Mako could not even dare wield such awesomeness!!!
You know it's a good one when it starts with a good old fashion t set
The thing with Mako is that his deck only works with Duelist Kingdom rules. I'm sure those three wishes make Flying Fish OP in that format so of course he's running max copies.
"We're going to have some fun with yugioh.... By playing the worst deck possible"
Off to a great start lmao

I just had the dumbest idea ever that may make you cry:
Play through the GX campaign... with Mako's deck.
34:20 "Draw your last pathetic card so I can end this, Yugi"

@@FakeHeroFang a ritual monster weaker then said tribute monster too the only good monster in the deck is amphibian beast.
Old Yu-Gi-Oh cards sure are something.
Sea turtles regularly eat jellyfish
Hell yeah! Pikasprey is playing more LOtD! I always love your videos of this game.

If that was the case you'd deck out with Mako's deck

Love your videos. I really like when you play pokemon mods. The crystal clear playthrough with 6 smeargle is a masterpiece honestly.
Jesus. A bunch of vanillas with no way to turbo out a ritual summon is brick city
This is caveman Yu-gi-oh. The whole idea is to throw bricks at each other until one person gets brain damage.
@@RandomPerson964 Kaiba: "Screw the rules, I have a brick!" _blonks Yugi in the dome with it._

@@FakeHeroFang I know that pain. The Yu-Gi-Oh games I've played have screwed me over like that far too many times.
@@RandomPerson964 Oh yeah, I know. But the ratios are so off and without a single bit of searching power with at least sonic bird is ick and a half
So will the next one be you using seeker?
I hope this means that we’ll get some more LotD story/reverse duels again.
The new rare hunter struggles
I love the old GBA Yugiohs and the DS ones too.
this video is lots of fun
So, when does the main series continue?
Never
@@kinnikuboneman aw.
What do you expect from a freaky fish guy?
Geez, this deck. With this deck, Mako would place 10th in a tournament with only 5 people.
And yes, I did make a second comment on this video.
Return Of The Doomed is easily among the top 3 worst cards with technically a positive effect, ever printed.
Sunkern without sun Stone
Sunkern with a sun stone still sucks

At least sunkern was strangely good for the pokethalon back in HGSS.
It gets to a point where I start rooting against you 👉👈
This deck genuinely makes me hate the game sometimes. The reverse duel with Yugi is almost impossible.
I still think Panik is worse
You are 99.30% right
Kairyu-Shin jumpscare, you should also play with Ishizu's original deck
.....Wow, this deck is awful. Like really, really bad, just no one should play this deck. I am in awe by your strength Asprey lol.
