QOTD: Last year I went to my dads house in North Carolina for Thanksgiving. Here in Florida, we don't really have seasons... In Spring it's hot, in Summer it's REALLY not, in fall it's hot, and in winter it's a little chilly. The leaves don't change colors or fall off the trees at all. So when I was in my backyard in NC, I looked up and saw all the trees with red, orange, yellow, and brown leaves, and the ground was covered in leaves. It just looked so beautiful and inspiring :)
Hey Amanda, Matthias, and fellow subbies! Since I got my first car Robin in May (I am 22) I have enjoyed discovery backgrounds and getting lost in the 50 mile radius of my home. My favorite roads are windy, with railing, and bunches of trees on the sides. Any backroads that people generally don't know or talk about attract me. This is how I spend time alone when I'm not reading at a coffee shop or writing.
What gets me relaxed is youtube videos and long walks with music blasting through my ears. Or going out with some friends and enjoying each others company while talking about the great things in life or what we would want to work as ect...
here in Denmark, my favorite place to go to relax, get inspired is the deer Park in Århus. right now the trees have changed colour and on Saturday, the snow is arriving here. so in going for a walk in the snow to take pictures this weekend.. it makes me happy to just be out side :)
Where I live there's a coastal path that stretches for 117 miles. But I have to say, some parts of it are amazing and I love maybe getting a bus to a few towns away, going down the beach, and walking along the coastal path to the next town (takes a while for me due to ankle problems), and just walking about until I feel I wanna go home. Haven't been able to lately due to the winds being up at nearly 30/40mph. Was around 60/70 the other day I'm sure. Just a little haven for me, exploring. Despite the cold weather!
I love to take my journals to a lake, canoe out to the middle and just float while writing my stories. The sound of the water and wind and finally being alone is the most calming sound
Seeing the two of you truly inspires me to better myself and treat others the way I would want to be treated, and Matthias you are a great example of what a husband should be :)
My favourite place is a hike nearby my hometown in Princeton BC. It's a short hike up to a place called Border Lake that sits right on the Canadian and US border. The reason I love this place so much and why I always feel inspired when I go here, is because of how it looks after recent years. The area has been affected by a large forest fire that took place a few years ago and the hike takes you through the carnage of burnt trees. However when you get to the lake you descend into an untouched woodland, where everything is still green and lush. It also has an incredible crystal clear lake which is breathtaking. I only ever get to go to this place once a year, but every time is worth it.
am I the only one who loves when it's windy? Lol :P I love that hufflepuff shirt, Amanda! Also, I think my favorite place to go is outside, at night, in my yard, and watch the stars...so peaceful. I love it!
I love being in my room when it's raining, listening to music. It really makes me start to think and my mind kind of goes crazy and I lose myself. Sometimes it's not too good but I love that kind of weather.
QOTD: I live in the Netherlands, so every kind of biome is really close to my house(if you walk 5 mins to the left you get forest, to the right are lots of agriculture fields) But what I love most is to cycle for 30 mins, and I'm in the middle of heath fields. Especially in August/September when it's all purple and flowery. But the winter is beautiful as well, when there's a layer of snow on everything. Love it.
Arkansas has beautiful rivers, especially in the summer. My favorite place is probably canoeing or kayaking down the rivers. On one side you can see small houses and boats close to the river with people cooking hot dogs or playing games, while on the other side you can see 20 foot cliffs with beautiful houses on top. It's a great place to relax with family in the summer.
I recently was fortunate enough to visit Chatham Universities new (in the process of being built) sustainability campus for their school of sustainability. It was amazing they are using old farm land and re-using materials from the farm that was their and I was incredibly inspired by all their innovations of how to make this campus sustainable and eco friendly. For instance they have this amazing water cycle on campus where they take the rain water and and use it to both heat and cool the buildings and they use it for irrigation and they purify it to use on campus. It was just really inspiring to see how we can change in the not so distant future.
I went to a bench surrounded by large oak trees in Santa Monica on a hiking trail and it was so peaceful with the birds chirping and the absence of street noise and just being able to sense the beauty of nature.
I like going to the lake near where I live and its surrounded by trees and you can slightly see nice houses in the trees and its just so beautiful and inspirational.
The most inspiring place I've been too lately was outside a village in Sweden called Växsjö. It's this beautiful landscape, you can't describe it. It was like you wanted to stop time and just enjoy the nature.
I live in Arizona and because I live by the mountain, I like to go hiking but off the trial because I can be closer to nature that way, even though it is dangerous, but it's completely worth it once you make it to the top ^_^ you can just sit there in the peace and quiet and enjoy the sunset :) it's probably my favorite spot, unfortunately I haven't been able to go up there this year since I'm going through a couple of surgeries this year ._. I just hope that after everything, that I have the strength to go back up there at least one more time to enjoy it :)
We had a tiny little clearing in the trees beside my yard at my family's home. There was a little creek that ran through it and there was a big rock that I always used as a seat. My mom called it my little gully. That was my favourite place as a kid.
QOTD, sort of. I just moved to Knoxville, TN for school, and one of the coolest moments is driving into school in the morning and seeing the sun and clouds reflect off of the Sunsphere tower as I drive up an overpass. It gives me a really cool and clear view of the city.
Oh, theres a lovely spot near a local park I go to with my notebooks to write stories. It's off track, into the woods a little bit and then it comes out to an open field. It's really pretty and secluded. My friends and I take picnics there and play games. :)
I once though that PewDiePie looked like Matthias in the thumbnail. Or it may have been the other way around. Idk, it was a vlog about pear being on pizza.
Here in Connecticut (Fairfield, specifically), we have several nature preserves with trails on them! I always go there to get inspired because it is just a short bike ride from where I live. Most of them are quiet and allow me to just shut out the world while I relax and think. Definitely the best place to go when my anxiety kicks in. Good eye for finding that new place Matthias! You're definitely an adventurer! Amanda, I love your Hufflepuff shirt! =)
I love finding plots of land with old farmsteads on them. I walk around and get lost imaging what the people may have done there and look at all the stuff left behind. There is always a story behind it that no one may never know.
To answer the qotd, I know this might sound nerdy or really cheap, but I really like going to the art room, chorus room and the library at school to get inspired. The atmosphere in those three places is just amazing!
My favorite place to just probably unwind and relax are the mountains. In Utah, there are several beautiful mountains with amazing views. I honestly don't go there often cause of school and stuff, but it's amazing there. One time, I was with my friends up in the mountains and we saw several deer. Like, we followed a doe and found other doe and some fawns. It was a awesome sight, quiet, and calm. I love it! ^.^
I haven't been there in a really long time, but there was this school next door to my old apartment complex. The school had a HUGE field and the field led to this bride which had a creek running under it and the creek surrounded this circular island and there were onions and blackberries there! it's one of my favorite places and I really hope I can go back one day.
I think I saw a palm plant growing next to some sort of pine or cedar tree when you were getting to the place by the river. (6:09) I think that would make a great place to take pictures. The contrast between the two plants would be pretty nice!
It was extremely windy here last week. I had to chase our garbage cans twice. Haha QOTD: I love going to cities and looking at the architecture. Right now we live near a city that's on the river, so I can get some really beautiful pictures of the river/city. :)
There is a creek in my town which runs through pretty much the entire town and there is an amazing place surrounded by trees that I HIGHLY enjoy going to. Only problem is that to get to it, you have to pretty much go through some persons backyard, so i don't go often
Is it sad that I don't even have time to relax? I guess the only time I get off I'm either doing homework or watching you guys. That's about it. I want to live where I can just watch the sky pass by. And also watch the sun set in the horizon.
In Ballarat, Victoria, Australia where I live there's a pine and gum tree forest that's a lot like the walk you went on except with more trees. It also some hills where you can look out over the city.
My room is my place for relaxation, I have a slanting roof and a window that opens out to look at a huge cathedral that I live a few houses away from. It's so pretty!
My favourite place to go these days is just a bike ride to the park and sit on a bench while listening to music and think about stuff. But if I think back five years ago, my favourite place to just get away from things was a little path to a cliff at the back of my house in Wellington (New Zealand) I would sit there and write, just below the cliff there was an abandoned swimming pool with one plank missing out of the fence, so me and my friends could just squeeze through. We would just mess around and enjoy life.. ah the good ol' days
My place where I go to get inspired is somewhere near an escarpment near a home my parents have in the countryside. That place is so serene and beautiful. It makes me appreciate the world.
Something that always makes me relaxed or happy and calms me down that I like to do is listen to music or go on a walk in my backwoods (seeing as I live in a really woodsy area)
Over here in Washington it's the same! I swear I heard a tree fall over because of the winds! And part of our fence just blew off and know there's a gap in our fence. To make matters worse it's raining nonstop.
+Matt&Amanda Omg Amanda I also make jewelry and I always feel inspired when I do that and seeing you make jewelry inspired me even more I also watched your video where you made chokers and I'm gonna try to make those too for my class😃😃😃
I hope your finger doesn't hurt anymore, Amanda! And that you didn't hurt yourself when you kinda fell at 5:51, Matthias :P And for the QOTD: My mom and I recently found a spot that's kinda hidden away that has a super tiny spot of white sand next to the ocean. On clear days you can see all the way to Denmark (I live by the coast in southern Sweden), it's very cool! Inspired me to write a fantasy novel I'm currently writing away on for this year's NaNoWriMo :D
Beshind my neighborhood, there is a little river underneath a canopy of trees. I didn't stay there for long (it was becoming night) but it was beautiful. Maybe later I will post a pic of it.
I really enjoy walking on the state trail that runs through the town I live in and the town I go to college at. Once I found myself walking for so long that I started at my town spot and ended up in the college town. That's about 15 miles driving. I'm not sure how much longer the path is.
QOTD: I love snowboarding, I live about 2 miles from a ski resort in Montana and I love going there. It's just very calming and relaxing to glide down the mountain on a sunny clear day and look at how beautiful all the scenery is
I haven't been here in a while but I like going to the Florida Everglades during winter. Here in South Florida it's really not winter but it's enough to see some gators, birds, and turtles.

My favorite place to go to is at the park near my house. You have to take a long trail some of it through the woods and then you end up on this huge walking bridge over the highway and it's just a really neat place to be
3:21 In Australia, what you're doing Amanda is equivalent to giving the finger XD QOTD: The most relaxing place for me is near my house. There's a field and when you go down a hill, it's full of trees and there's a river as well ^-^
Not quite applicable in California, but the winters here in Ohio produce some of the most beautiful views. The ice-covered trees look like diamonds when the sun hits them right. Not to mention the blanket of white snow that makes everything else look so colorful.

My luck is that there is a bench so I can sit down :D I go there to write a story or only sit there and enjoy the view. It's fantastic up there!
Theres this forest at the bottom of my hill thats really nice... its not that big (10 minute loop max) but its calm and theres a river running through it all thats always calming to me The people took out the bridge over the water :( but its still my favorite go away spot
QOTD: There was a field out behind my old elementary school by the playground we had, and the further you went, the more trees there were after the field. They were pretty decent sized trees, all sorts of branches and stuff and the leaves were always bright and the sun shone through the branches up in the trees and it just was my favorite place to be. Me and my friends would always be playing out there and climbing the trees and stuff, so it took the teachers like 10 minutes to come find us after recess. Lol Good times.
QOTD: Last year I went to my dads house in North Carolina for Thanksgiving. Here in Florida, we don't really have seasons... I caught that Gilmore Girls reference Amanda! "5 o'clock at the Oasis!" hahah
Something that calms and relaxes me is climbing the evergreen tree in my backyard and overlooking my neighbourhood and Lake Erie :)
Amanda is so pretty. And Mat is so handsome. Perfect couple 💝
I love being in my room when it's raining, listening to music. It really makes me start to think and my mind kind of goes crazy and I lose myself. Sometimes it's not too good but I love that kind of weather.
Have I ever mentioned what pretty eye color Matthias has?
+RosieMewPie People have been saying that a lot lately.. It is very pretty!
"I'm always right I'm the woman." SAME ACTUALLY SAME😂😂😂😂

A monastery! They are so beautiful specially the church.✨💖 I always go there for inspiration.
The place that I grew up in had lots of gorgeous forests around it. I love going back sometimes and exploring the area :)

I feel really at peace in woodland, like forests. The ones where it's got a variation of trees and the sounds of birds and animals.
Matthias looks like Wade (LordMinion777) in the thumb nail! Lol
Haha that's what I thought!
Lol yeah
I once though that PewDiePie looked like Matthias in the thumbnail. Or it may have been the other way around. Idk, it was a vlog about pear being on pizza.
OMG HE DOES
+Septicpewdieplier I remember that vlog, and don't even watch PewDiePie often.

My favorite environment I like is a forest. I mostly like the sound that can easily put me to sleep.
I haven't been here in a while but I like going to the Florida Everglades during winter. Here in South Florida it's really not winter but it's enough to see some gators, birds, and turtles.
My mind is a place that I like to go when I want inspiration. It doesn't happen often but that is my special place.
Aw. Love your profile picture! its adorable!
Hair cut done, Matthias hair on fleek!
"with moving" WHICH MEANS LUNA WAS CONCEIVED AROUND THIS TIME
I live in Burlington/Florence Kentucky, and my favorite area is Rabbit Hash along the Ohio River. It is absolutely beautiful in the summer.
Psst! Amanda! It would be a shame with Matthias misplaced those glasses in the move. ~.o.~ lol
Anyways! There is a place by my old house where we grew up playing. It's a meadow with an old wooden fence and trees surrounding it. It was beautiful and we always felt so happy playing there. A lot of my dreams still take place there.
My favorite place to go to is at the park near my house. You have to take a long trail some of it through the woods and then you end up on this huge walking bridge over the highway and it's just a really neat place to be

The sunglasses are back!! Lol!!
Not quite applicable in California, but the winters here in Ohio produce some of the most beautiful views. The ice-covered trees look like diamonds when the sun hits them right. Not to mention the blanket of white snow that makes everything else look so colorful.
QOTD:
My place is a really big tree on a little hill.
It's the only tree there so...there is a hill with a single tree on top and a beautiful view.
Favourite place of all time!
My luck is that there is a bench so I can sit down :D
I go there to write a story or only sit there and enjoy the view.
It's fantastic up there!
I love your videoos and I like going to my bed seriously not that I'm a lazy kid or something but bed=sleep=thinking=inspiration:))
I like to go to the library to relax!
Theres this forest at the bottom of my hill thats really nice... its not that big (10 minute loop max) but its calm and theres a river running through it all thats always calming to me
The people took out the bridge over the water :( but its still my favorite go away spot
My favorite place Matthias is Sokka in Stavanger, Norway!!! It is so beautiful there.
Matthias, right after you said oasis I sang "it's 5 o'clock at the oasis!" AND THEN AMANDA SANG IT. Ahhhh, gotta love Gilmore Girls!!!
hope Amanda's finger is better now Matt and Amanda x
I really enjoy hiking, and I recently went to Arkansas with some friends and went to eagle point. It was pretty awesome.
Back when it was warm outside, I liked to go in my backyard. There is an area past some trees that I like to go to.
We've had a windstorm for like three days in Colorado, and it snowed. So that's been fun.
Usually, I just go into my backyard with a book, climb a tree, and read for an hour or two. It's really peaceful. :)
You are so lucky Matthias Amanda is sooo pretty ily guys together
For some reason the thought of that really creepy shadow just flopping on the window is hilarious to me! In my mind it looks so derpy. XD
Whitefish Point, Michigan is probably one of my favorite spots. Cold, but pretty
I never knew Amanda was a cosmetologist. That's awesome. I am too and I know the struggle of cutting my middle finger xD
QOTD: I love rain. anywhere with rain haha
But a specific place I like is the American River. There's so many places to sit and look at the water.
