There is 1 and only 1 reason not to eag what you kill and that is contagious sickness. Where i live foxes can get something thats called "skabb" it wreaks havoc on the population and the state said any fox with it is to get shot asap to stop the spread. Otherwise im on board with your mentality
Great video. I’ve had great luck with a Ruger 10-22. Cheap and accurate with CCI standard or faster ammo. I always buy ammo in bulk. Sometimes different lot numbers will shoot differently. Ton of cool upgrades available too. Thanks for sharing!
Yup it’s sure hard to beat a 10-22. And you are right there’s a bunch of upgrades for them. I’m with you about buying ammo in bulk, I bet these days many others wished they did lol. Thanks for watching!
good and review of the gun and caliber and the hunting situation. first time hunter here from norway. i would like that more rifle reviews would be like this one. thank you and keep up the good work. i love it :)
What else is needed other than a hunting license? Could a cop walks by in the “woods” and arrest you for hunting or carrying a hunting rifle? Would the shooting sound echo attract cops around? Hmm 🤔 also when done from hunting can I pack it and Uber back home with it being in the “bag”? Just trying to be totally safe.
Nice video, Thanks! I use a suppressed Anschutz 1416 .22lr with a SWFA 6x fixed power scope for all small game upp to 100 meters. Have the best results with the 1416 using Eley and RWS subsonic. Norma TAC.22 works great for target and plinking :-)) I prefer a fixed power scope because with a variable power scope it is easy to mess upp the point of impact if you use the mill dot reticle on different power.
That’s definitely a good brand! I believe a lot of Olympic shooters use them in competition. Swfa makes some great scopes too, I might pick one up for one of my air rifles soon. I’ve been switching most of my scopes to ffp so it doesn’t mess me up with my reticles while zooming in and out. Noting better than a suppressed .22lr shooting subsonic rounds!
@@TheHuntForDinner Yes Anschutz belongs to the best and most accurate brands in .22lr. In my opinion ffp is great for target shooting but no option to me for small game hunting. The clarity of the glass of a quality fixed power scope with parallax adjustment is unbeatable. I use quick release scope mounts so i can swap scopes on my .22lr for targets or hunting.
@@jayrom12 nice! Rabbit is good eating! I usually get squirrels and birds with my .22’s I’ve taken a few rabbits with my .25’s but I don’t get a chance at many of those around here.
I just ordered a Hatson 95 .25 for my first gun of any kind. looking to hunt rabbit and squirrel and maybe some birds. I went for the .25 for a more forgiving kill zone and more killing power. was this a decent choice?
Absolutely, hatsan makes some nice air rifles. The .25 will be plenty of power for small game like you mentioned. I would take it out and shoot into a pine board to see how well it penetrates so you know what distances you can shoot. My theory is if it penetrates into a piece of wood about 1/2 way or passes through then it’s plenty of power to penetrate into small game.
It's ridiculous what one is required to do to be "granted" possession of a suppressor. Many countries in Europe (where firearm ownership is difficult to obtain) sell suppressors over the counter.
No there’s not much of one. It doesn’t bother me though, most of my rifles don’t have one. Boyd’s makes stocks with adjustable cheek welds for a pretty affordable price. I thought about getting one.
@@TheHuntForDinner so do my hawks, a falcon and our ferrel Hemingway outdoor cat. If things get to that point, I now know that they can be added to our grill as well 😂🙌🏼. Thanks again Sir! Great channel that you have. What part of the planet are you on?
I love that the Optimus Micro can be fully disassembled with items found in a junk drawer.
I haven't hunted since I was young, but thinking about picking it up again. Thanks for all the great info .
Thanks to our precious and wonderful neighbors, we always have good appreciation and support.👍⚘
Thank you
best starting gun gun for kid is a 20 ga with light loads. they are much much more effective than 410's .
Depending on the kid I could agree but I hunted plenty of small game with a 410 as a kid. They are very effective too.
Good advice! I gotta get myself a .22 still. Right now I’m just using my 12ga for small game lol
Lol yup that’ll get the job done😂. I use a 12ga for grouse and pheasant just so I can take further shots. I love my .22 though!
Informative video, When in the woods ,don't kill it unless your going to eat it.
Thanks Ken and I agree, you kill it you grill it

Good down to earth advice.

Lol that’ll do it!
What’s up bro great info you got that chill personality
Thanks man I try to keep it real!
I use a .22 cal air rifle.
That’s a good choice. I have a couple I use and have taken a lot of animals with them.

7.62 AK 47 the best 4 all. that my mother in law said all the times.
