I think it has a lot more to do with the economy and inflation than anything. They should have pulled the trigger sooner on the sequel. 9 years was too long.

The cinematography was bad compared to fury road. Camera shots always a bit to close. There was just a lack of scale. Story was ok but nothing outstanding. Dementus had no depth imo. Don't watch them one after another.
This movie was so awesome and I'm actually extremely surprised at Warner Bros. They have been ruining literally every other property they own. I hope this did good at the box office but if it didn't it deserved to like a crazy vehicle emerging from dust and debris of absolute wreckage.

This was surprisingly good. I kept my expectation low, considering all the mary sue garbage that Hollywood has dished out over the past 10 years. But Furiosa was not a mary sue. Hemsworth was also really good. You watch Dementus devolve before your eyes.

Caught it by accident. Hotel I was at had an IMAX in it. Great movie. People complained about how long it was, but didnt seem overly long watching it.
