My mom passed away from a terminal illness this past Dec. We had a strained relationship most of my life, at least until my Dad passed away and then she got sick. I share that bc some of my best memories with her were spent watching you 3 play and win 🏆 We watched every playoff game and championship together and she loved her some Steph, Klay and Dray 😏 Life has a way of throwing things at us when we least expect it and nothing joyful lasts forever. It was obvious Klay found NO joy on the court last season so as a fan I missed him long before now. He’s not been fully present in quite awhile. I wish him the best in Dallas. I know he’ll back to the Klay we’ve been missing - good for him/them and not so good for us Warriors 😂 I’ll always be grateful I got to witness sports history and I have you 3 to thank for that. God bless 🙏
What an era…a legendary trio. I hope all three of you close out your careers strong. Forever a fan.
yup, no one is touching klay when draymond is around. gobert found out.
I think a lot of people commenting on dis situation is a fan of the warriors and not the actual sport of basketball. I see people saying klay is more important than Dray. Not discrediting klay but yall have to understand Dray is the warriors floor general. Dray is da head of our defense. He’s the head of hustle for the team , da head of tenacity and physicality on both ends. They all 3 needed each other da same amount just in different ways. So cut it out with who’s more important.
There is one memory that I have of you and Klay is when you braced yourself, caught him and kept him from harm’s way during a game! The song that comes to mind when I recall this is…..He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother by Donny Hathaway.😊
Being a Dubs fan my whole life, 45 years on this rock bruh. This was honestly tough to see, similarly to when I watched Mark McGwire play his last game as an Athletic. Truthfully felt a little emotional! My oldest daughter's favorite player too. I already know I can't even talk to her about it.
Will be weird watch Klay with Mavs 🎽 one of the greatest to play the game 💪 thanks splash brothers for the good times 🏀
My whole family was hurt yall 3 really brought my family together I'll always be a warrior ❤️
As a Warrior fan, of course this hurts, but it hurt me more to hear the mental struggles Klay has been experiencing the last few yrs. You can see that he wasn’t as carefree in the court as he had been in earlier years. Klay hinted at his departure during the podcast when he was asked about free agency, saying he had to prioritize his mental health. F entertainment, a persons well being is way more important. I love that Steph & Dray put Klay’s happiness over everything else; that’s love & respect. Sad that we live in a society where things like that are taken a back seat just for instant gratification.
Mavs fan here. That was a really nice view. We will take care of him for you. He is in Good hands.
Everything comes to an end. I hope history never forgets how uncompetitive the NBA was during the Dubs run. I mean they were taking out 60+ win teams like it was clockwork. OKC was supposed to have 1, Spurs could’ve got another, the Rockets were the best team to never make it to the finals… but no titles for them under the Warriors dynasty. Bron supposed to have more than 4 rings right now, but he doesn’t.
Steph, Klay, and Dray all terrorized the entire league for a decade. What a run.
I'm a Mavs fan, but I've been rooting for Klay to bounce back from these injuries since they happened. He looked so down and depressed these last couple of years. He felt slighted when he wasn't on the top 75. He'll never be the guy he was defensively, but he still brings a lot to the table. It's a great fit with Luka cause he's a catch and shoot guy.
New Mavs fan here. ;) Go Klay!! You brought me to the game - when I didn’t even like sports. Your catch and shoot is insane.
Klay will be missed
This is a sad time indeed for DubNation, Klay will always be apart of the family and we wish him well. Now it's time to add more fire power to the team and get us another ring in the Bay.
I'm a bulls fan this reminds me when d rose 🌹 left I respect you big homie
D rose didn’t want to leave tho, he got traded to while doing an interview on how he wanted to stay with chicago ironically
Thanks for doing this episode ❤
Whenever there's a dark cloud in the room, expect some light to shine after
13 years with someone around you and creating that strong of a bond. I don’t see how you can gather the thoughts to process it especially being a family man. You got no obligation too just cause of the “media personality” side of things. Take ya time my brother 🤞🏽
Respect to Killer Klay T. Big up!
I listened to the whole podcast and it felt like someone died. As a warriors fan, it's actually like that. Need something really really strong to swing the mood around.
Nothing last forever just glad i got to witness greatness throughout the years
The core is broken. Why did they let Klay go.
he wanted to go, it was either pay Klay an excessive amount and plague the orgs salary cap or depart.
@@Arshaun_3050 ok we'll trust your word on his feelings over his.
Klay's last offer a week before the agency to warrior's management was 40M/2yr and management just said "not yet"? Idk about this management you clearly disrespected klay
Proof that Klay tried to stay, even though they gave him the cold shoulder. No respect whatsoever, guy fought back from 2 major injuries to win another ring. Management is dead to me.
You are so right. He was so unhappy this past year. Even if he got a contract, would he have been angry that it took so long? It was so hard to see the joy just drain from him. Whether he is a Warrior or a Maverick I hope he finds peace and reclaims his joy.
We need another video just like this dray
Yes it is bitter sweet. Nothing lasts forever. It is heart warming to know that their relationship is everlasting. It is what it is. We warriors fans now have to get accustomed to the new reality. We will always love Klay and hopefully he will end his playing days in the majesty and glory that he truly deserves. Those three humans deserve our respect and admiration.
One teams trash is another teams treasure. Thank u Bay City. Lets Go Mavs!
You three made me a basketball fan, was hoping you all retired in a gs jerseys but you did put it in perspective. Klay was visibly unhappy. I hope he regains his joy with the mavs. Thanks klay 💯
The wildest thing how is this guy still on the team..
You are there with them!
Klay Thomson was my favorite player as a warrior. Curry is a gift from the God so many people around the world like him. No doubt curry is the best shooter in the world. Why I like klay is because he was a huge part of Curry's sucess. He also is very lucky he has curry as his team mate. Dub Nation will miss klay for sure. It is very hard to swallow in the thought of Klay Thompson not being a Warrior anymore. Thank you Klay for all that you did for Dub Nation we will all miss hope you have a wonderful time in Dallas.
No matter what you do, you need to enjoy it. Klay didn't seem to be happy so if that happens for him with the Mavs then good for him. Life seldom happens like we thought it would. The lesson is roll with punches, don't give up & be happy😊
Draymond should have took less to help keep Klay. 4 yr/100 mil? Helping keep Klay should have been the priority.
Dray I’m curious to know how you feel that most fans blame you for spoiling the dynasty
Cause it is kinda true…. We all know that😅
I’m a C’s fan and I’m glad we lost to a deserving and amazing team. A lot of doubters and odds were against you guys and y’all beat it. Well played and hopefully Klay is a good fit for the mavs but you guys were a dynasty together what a team you guys are 👏🏽.
Shame on the Golden States Organization for letting Klay go ! There is no loyalty after all he has done for the team I could not believe it
It should've been Draymond not Klay. Klay is the splash bro he and steph changed the game they both gotta stay together
That's 20 points a game y'all have to replace..That hits hard
You mean upwards of 50 pts because they also haven't really found a formidable replacement for Poole when he is on a hot streak, and don't say layup kuminga is it because he isn't.
@@25lighters91 Yea when Pool left that put so much on Curry..They trying to wear him out
why don't these clips get any views anymore??
You all are the reason I started watching basketball in 2011, I knew you all would rise up and win. This breaks my heart but now we can see Steph shine in a another way, at least that’s what I’m telling myself to remain positive lol
What's best for the Warriors as a basketball team would be to trade Steph and Dray and go full rebuild and fire Dunleavy. This team isn't close to competing for a title and nobody is getting younger. Maybe if they got Paul George and kept Klay we would be a title contender but this is a really mediocre to slightly above average team rn and there's nobody left that pushes this team to a title contender. Klay screwed the Warriors by going to the Western Conference Champions. Warriors should have never paid him while he was injured you could say it was the moral thing to do but look how Klay repaid the Warriors it ultimately screwed them.
@@donutsrgood4491 yeah i genuinely hope everything works out for the fan base in the best way.
Honestly im bandwagon in a way, I just hoped on it before they ever anything won in 2011. I was watching an NBA game because my friend loved drose. It was warriors vs bulls. and I was blown away by Steph and Klay. I became a fan and it was the first sports I ever really watched or cared about. I told everyone they would win a championship and then what’s happened since is just insane lol. I can’t believe it’s all almost over now, but I’d love to see curry win one more somehow
Dray. Thank you. That klay is Out. Thats On you
That's a sick shirt
So basically Pippen to Steph's MJ is leaving.
In the end this was Klay's decision, probably with the help of his agent, hope it was the right one buddy😌 He wasn't playing like he enjoyed the game anymore so a change was definitely needed, don't really think it was solely about the money😐
Please tell me the warriors are making more moves before the trade deadline!!!
Hield, Melton, and Kyle Anderson. Good pick ups. There are three keys for next year - Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, & Moses Moody. I think Jackson-Davis & Podziemski are going to be as solid as last season, if not slightly better, though if you look at the depth of the team, their minutes could either go up or down. Depends on the three i mentioned, and Looney, for Jackson-Davis. They don't need anyone else if those guys play well.
@@lakeshoresubtleties Kyle Anderson is a good fit. I don't know about the others. But one thing is FOR SURE, they need a superstar. They could barely win a championship with prime Klay... now it's over. Steph has these few precious years left and they aren't bringing another super star? It's like expecting Jordan to win without Pippen and Kobe without Shaq. Doable, but there's no expectation of a championship anymore. Warriors are cooked
@@chea7z913 Hield was the fastest player ever to 500 3's. Melton is an athletic defensive guard, pretty decent 3 point shooter, good passer, and good rebounder.
Klay was not in his prime for that last title. He was wildly inconsistent shooting and scoring in those playoffs, and his defense was mediocre. Wiggins played pretty well offensively, great defensively, and stepped up on the glass. Kuminga had his key games and stretches. But they won that title with Draymond and Klay both having so so playoff runs. Whatever happened with Wiggins season before last in his personal life clearly affected him last season. Wiggins' bounce back, and the steps Kuminga and Moody make (and are given opportunity to make) are key. They still have enough. They could use a rim protector and lob threat bigger than Jackson-Davis, but he may be just athletic enough and play above his height enough to fill that role well enough. I wouldn't count this squad out just yet. Dray is a star defender and point forward. Steph is Steph. They're both 1 of 1. The team is still pretty deep.
@@lakeshoresubtleties Wishful thinking. They have capable people, but championships require exceptional people and that's pretty much only Steph. They need another prolific scorer to even have a shot, no way they win with only one real threat
Draymond your a real one man.
Sad past few years for Oakland raiders josh Jacobs Klay and the A's fml
Sad 😢
@draymond green: why did u punch jordan poole? why did u kick KD out? why are u hurting Curry's legacy? what is wrong with you? i thought u was his friend?😂
Draymond gonna punch everyone now. He's like "fuck it."
I hope not. You can make a case that's part of the reason why the Warriors chemistry hasn't been the same the past couple of years
Green should of been the one traded
I think its about money or not happy. He can't do what he do to warriors. Go warriors
lol Poole was the key to being able to win another one, made up for the lack of offense from everyone not named Steph in big moments. Kinda wish that video never came out 😕
Klay was defending their best player and still had 18/20 point games during that playoff run bruva stop it
@@sundayciscero obviously the Warriors didn’t trust Klay to carry the warriors for the future man, he’s 34 w/ major Knee injuries. Was he important? Absolutely, but his time has come. Poole was being groomed to be the next star to come for the warriors to possibly ease the load from Steph as he got older. We obviously see Steph still has good years and this would have been the time for Poole to kinda take the reins and come into his own. Now the era is over.
@@HollywoodGee I feel it, but I would play different too if my contract was dependent on every shot I made that year, and I was still worried about injuring myself. I think he’s gonna have a great year
@@sundayciscero lol it’s the NBA my boy, you want me to feel bad that it’s pressure to perform? Quite literally in the job description lol. You don’t perform, you don’t get paid. Klay was on an evaluation year of course because his deal was about to be up, and he’s 34 with major injuries. Given his age and injuries, his career is on the decline no matter how you spin it. Would you pay that guy if you’re the owner? If you would, I would hate to see what other financial decisions you make 😩😂
Yoooo bunny hield
They let Klay go when the let cash rain on Pool and Wiggins.
Only listened bc I love Klay but LOL: I didn’t know if I trust Klay boat driving. There’s a lot of water in the ocean. Ha that was worth the click.
Without bob Mayer gsw management sucks.
Klay and Dray should have been splitting 30 mill a year if they want to compete
It always ends like this. You got 4 titles together. Changed the game. Klay needs a change. So do you guys. It always ends badly.
Dray, you will forever be part of what I called, the 3 amigos. This separation is very sad. You may have always had their back, but they've got yours too. Remember the boat pick up? You mattered to Klay...BIG TIME.
🙃Kudos
🔥
Dramond you are super nice
Klay Over Dray Anyday
They already make millions of the court. If they really wanted to win they could make less a year or 2.
i am from the Philippines and i always listen to @moneygreen. Im a big fan 🤛
I'm trully sad for Klay
GS did not treat him fairly
Didn't Klay took a pay cut from his last contract signing?
@@MrE_ they treated him fairly for 12 years. But this offseason he wanted a max contract but the warriors couldn’t do it
Drake was right, Dray's pod is a "tough listen"
Klay Thompson still going to be Klay, Curry still the best shooter ever, I actually wonder how Steph feels playing with you? Last year watching curry cry cause you got ejected
13:33 I have to disagree Draymond. Depending on the bank/credit union. They do. 😹 I think it just depends on work environment and the personalities
I speak for all Warriors fans when I say we would have all rather seen Draymond go than Klay
Y’all got buddy heild melton and Kyle Anderson so y’all should be good 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Wrong choice i would of kept klay and got rid of the problem draymon at least klay can avg 18 on a bad year dray gonna avg 6 or 7 points out best
One question for Klay .. “Klay why r u leaving Steph n Dre”?? ALL YALL BEEN THRU.. r u trying to get a ring?? U got 4.. is it $?? u not broke.. why u leaving?? He supposed to FINISH w/them.. ion RESPECT that 💯
Even though i like you Dray and respect your intelligence, you set this all in motion with what you did and you know what im talkin about 🥊
Wish if you were a Mav, Draymond. Very underrated, a leader on the court. These haters dont understand basketball.
Although Draymond is a Homie,,, Draymond FUCKED THAT TEAM UP NOT KLAY. ITS A DAM SHAME THE WARRIORS AIN'T WINNING NOTHING ELSE. NBA TEAMS EVOLVES THE WARRIORS HAD BECOME A DYNASTY AND AN ELITE TEAM AND DRAYMOND ATTITUDE, RUNNING KEVIN DURANT AWAY STARTED A FREE FALL. THEY SHOULD'VE GOT RID OF DRAYMOND FOR THAT SHIT.
When curry leave warriors done
You punched your own teammate and they traded Jordan Poole. You got suspended for acting like a nut, and now yall trade Klay and you get to stay???? 🤨 It’s you who should’ve been let go.
So we just gone breeze past the fact that Klay & draymond saw each other in Denver and didn’t speak???
He mentioned that it was the day after Klay told him 🙄that would have been too emotional of a conversation to have in a public setting. They were both there to have a good time and enjoy the performances. Plus Klay was giving Dray the space to process what he had dropped on him the day before
Klay about to be on an all time run against his old team 😂😂not going lose 1 game
Klay just end the dynasty that they made for so many years..
We need a a good player asap😂😂😂
Why couldn't it have been you
Klay had to go sadly but please don’t let them trade Kuminga that would be very short sighted
Dare you. Green. No Problem stwph is thar
right choice? idk about that, he got more money per year from gsw right? did he feel disrespected?
No one knows what happened behind the scenes. He also wanted 3 years but GS wouldn't do it.
Warrior fans need to be happy for the guy. He needed a change of scenery
It’s the Ny Knicks fault
😭
NEVER FORGET,,,, YOU GOT TWO RINGS BECAUSE OF KD. Y'ALL GOT Y'ALL ASS HANDED TO YOU BY LEBRONS. YOU COULDN'T HANDLE LEBRONS UNTIL KD GOT THERE. KD SOLVED THAT PROBLEM THEN DRAYMOND FUCKED THE TEAM UP.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Sry Mr. Green. You the next
Logic Flaws in Draymond Green's Speech
1. Lack of Clear Causality
- Draymond mentions multiple factors that could have influenced Klay Thompson's decision to leave but does not provide a clear causal link. He states, "there's no true way to know" and "you just kind of take all those things into account," which indicates uncertainty and a lack of definitive reasoning.
2. Contradictory Statements
- Draymond expresses conflicting views about the role of the contract in Klay's decision. He says, "I personally don't think it was that," but also acknowledges that it could have played a part, showing inconsistency in his argument.
3. Emotional Reasoning
- Draymond's reasoning is heavily based on emotions rather than facts. He talks about the joy and sadness basketball brings to Klay, which, while important, does not provide a logical basis for Klay's decision to leave.
4. Overgeneralization
- Draymond makes broad statements about the organization and its appreciation for Klay without specific evidence. He says, "I know this organization would have had Klay back as long as he wanted to be," which is an overgeneralization without concrete proof.
5. Lack of Focus
- The speech is scattered and lacks a clear focus. Draymond himself admits, "I don't really even know where I was going with that point because my thoughts are all [ __ ] up," indicating a lack of coherent structure in his argument.
6. Anecdotal Evidence
- Draymond relies on personal anecdotes and experiences, such as dinners and interactions with Klay, which do not provide a solid foundation for understanding the broader context of Klay's decision.
7. Incomplete Thoughts
- Draymond frequently leaves thoughts incomplete, saying, "someday I'll have more thoughts on this," which suggests that his current analysis is not fully developed or thought through.
The man is spilling his thoughts and emotions unrehearsed and you’re here dissecting his speech qualities. Get a life
How are you. Pls.
I feel it but the business side of it is a grown man ish
Draymond low key the reason everyone left. No one gonna speak up against u big dawg. I’m sure some teammates afraid of you since JP
