That is not an original Royale chassis. Ettore’s crashed Royale was rebuilt into the Coupe Napoleon which still exists in the French National Car Museum (Schlumpf). Great copy, nothing more.
Thank you for sharing this to us, as rightly said it's a marvelous piece of art on wheels, you've revived a glorious past I guess Mr.Bugati must be also happy seeing this from above. Appreciate all the craftsman aka magicians to bring this piece of perfection back to life.
I also enjoy the Guild show (also available on youtube) when they recreate the Bugatti Aerolyte one-off prototype based on drawings and a type 52 chassis..
Fascinating car...likely 6 mpg for a 7000 lb. car. What France really needed however at that time was to mobilize it's working class with a cheap car which would have expanded its economy. The Citroen 2CV did not appear until after WW2.
I've never seen a Royale, but I did see a 1914 LaFrance speedster (!) show up at a local car show years ago. It was surreal. Huge. Biggest straight-six I've ever seen.
Actually compared to today, the machining tolerances were not very good. There's a lot of conjectural fantasizing going on here. When you make statements about machining tolerances that are not factual, it's a warning sign.
Bugatti first built turbines for planes and the engine in this car is a turbine too. It needs zo be that large, the engine has a displacement of nearly 15000cm3
Such a beautiful piece of history being rebuilt. Awesome!!!!
Such care, craftsmanship and diligence . I'm speechless!
Just awesome and beautifull. On my humble pinion, with all it took to build it,there should be a short continuation series for those who can afford it.
Das wohl schönste Automobil der Welt
meine Hochachtung an alle beteiligten, die dieses Traumauto wieder zum Leben erweckt haben
Thank you....that is an incredible build of one of the most beautiful cars in world ❤

It was, yes...but according to Griffith Borgeson the rebuild was on a new frame...and it looks like this gent found just a frame, so...
Got to see two of these at Harrah's Auto Museum in Reno. I was stunned!
There are three in the Molsheim museum
@@pashakdescilly7517 Mulhouse Museum...Schlumpf collection (Parkward limousine, Coupé Napoléon "du patron", "Armand Esders" Replica)

Pinacle of automotive art.
I'd love to get a two minute ride in one of these. I guess if you don't know someone personally involved with these you can't.

WOW!!!
Absolutely fantastic!
Does it have the 14.7 like it used to, bigger than the production models? (and the Pierce Arrow often considered bigger)

Hallo, einfach toll!!!! Ich gratuliere und bedanke mich dass ich diesen Anblick geniessen darf!! With Regards, Hartmut
Where can I find Bugatti Weymann factory drawings?
Where did the engine come from?
How is the car defined according to the law and of course the Bugatti owners own clubs? Is it a new car, is it an old one?
Would have painting it black.

Bugatti engines have only 2 gaskets; one to the intake manifold, the other to the exhaust manifold. Everything else in the engine is adjusted by hand.
I guess this would be Type 41.110 version 2.
no way they found the chassis of the car mr buggatti crashed?
Who pays?
Chris Dragotta France
wow
I wonder why these cars were all right hand drive, being French?
Bugatti freighter would be a better name ha ha, It's so unnecessarily large.

Nonsense. The engine is a very large line-8, not a turbine. Also, 12700 cubic centimeters.
IT was a Status Symbol (still ist)
Well, the same could be said about 40-50 years of US mass produced cars, but having travelled in some and having owned some, I wouldn't say that.
Omg
