Should’ve been Sunny. Would’ve been a very entertaining argument with the way she was acting and reacting during the show and his time slot off the segment.
Stephen A Smith is wrong on the Ruth Bader Ginsburg facts. Had RBG retired before Trump they may not have appointed another liberal as McConnell had a filibuster margin after losing the Congress in his second term. It may have been a more conservative who rules against Obamacare and gay marriage. The point of waiting for a possible Hillary win was that they might have controlled the Senate which would allow Obama to appoint his pick and not a compromised pick with ultra right wing McConnell.
I like that she can give you the thinking of Independents. She tends to balance sometimes going right or left depending on rhe issues. She isn't locked into one party. Those are the rules. The Democrats can claim if the reigns of power were reversed they’d have confirmed a Republican nomination but that really doesn’t make too much sense.
Not nonsense; the Senate was controlled by the Republican Party, and there was nothing Pres. Obama could do about it. It was maddening because the Senate has the 'advice and consent' check-and-balance on the executive power when it comes to judicial nominations. There was no Executive Order for it. Obama could have used a Senate majority he didn't have. RBG simply screwed up and soiled her legacy.
I thought I was the only one that remembered that. Like if she stepped down Mitch McConnell said he was going to make him a one-term president and didn't pass anything.
Obama had a senate majority for six years. It was only the last two years that republicans took back the senate. RBG got pancreatic cancer in 2009 upon her getting cancer there was always the risk that she could die which would mean that her seat would be open was uncertain. The solution would have been for her to resign while the democrats controlled the senate and the presidency. At the time of her cancer diagnosis she was 76 years of age and could have cleared the decks for a replacement. However she did not do so despite having a number years to make such a decision and despite Obama pleading with her to do so. Accordingly when the senate flipped back she was locked in and she just ran out of time. Fortunately Breyer lived until the democrats took back the senate at 84 years old. Which enabled them to prevent McConnell from using his delay tactics.

This makes sense, he is right about everything. Democrats need to step down from their righteous thrones and try to listen to the common people. I am a lifelong Democrat since before I could vote.
100% correct on one thing. The overarching tone from the Democratic Party this election cycle was, if you don't vote the way *we* want you to vote, you're a bad person. How many on the fence/moderate voters do ya think that tone of moral superiority won over? Exactly 0. And in fact it did the opposite by turning many of those people away from them. It was idiotic and frankly I don't think they will learn or be introspective. They will just point fingers at other people and do more of the same.

Let me explain the perspective of a Latina American citizen who finds herself in the center of the political spectrum. Why do we leave our countries? We leave because we are exhausted by the lack of order, the constant unrest, and the corruption. We leave because law enforcement can be easily bribed, and because rules are routinely ignored, creating chaos. Don't tell me this isn't true-I've lived in one of the less chaotic nations, Colombia, and I can assure you, it’s still far from ideal. So, who should be coming to this country? I want immigrants who respect the law, who understand the importance of maintaining the order that makes this country great. These are the people who go through the system-the ones who approach our government and say, “I’m not satisfied with the way things are run in my country. Here’s my background, here’s my family. Can we please be allowed to enter?” Those are the individuals I believe deserve a chance. Let’s be clear: when people cross the border illegally, they’re taking a shortcut. They’re bypassing the legal process meant to ensure the safety and integrity of this nation. Not only does this undermine the system, but it also disregards those who are following the rules and waiting patiently for their chance. Remember earlier this year during Copa America? The Colombians who rushed into the stadium, disregarding order and protocol? That’s the message some are sending-let’s bypass the system and create chaos. But that’s not what the majority of immigrants want, and it’s certainly not what this country needs. We must secure our borders to ensure that those who are following the rules have a fair chance to enter the United States legally.
8:38 - yes!!! Finally someone spoke out about the HUGE mistake Ruth Bader-Ginsberg made by not retiring when Obama was still in office. She didn’t mean to do this but she is partially responsible for the overturning Roe v Wade by being arrogant enough to think Hillary was going to win and she could nominate her replacement. What a foolish thing she did. I remember cringing after Obama was elected and she still wouldn’t retire
"trans are 1% of the the population." Yeah, 1 trans man goes up against over 100 women in boxing and ends up with the gold medal in the Olympics... There's so many flaws in her logic.
Stephen A..... Women voters were thinking the same thing as men voters. the border: illegal immigrants: food price.... gas prices. Men and women issues..... that's why Trump won in a landslide we thought as one..... the same issues!!!!!
As a Hispanic, Trump won the Latino vote and is labeled “racist” lmao. My dad is 1st generation, his parents are LEGAL. He retired out of the military and they HATE illegals making immigrants look bad. They voted red, short story.
Good point but that was way too late. By then the GOP ran the Senate. Also, that was to replace conservative Scalia, and no way were they gonna let a liberal replace him. As for RBG, another commenter remarked that she had been dealing with health issues since her cancer diagnosis in 2009. Obama had a Democrat majority in the Senate until 2014, enough time to get a liberal successor. But RBG was too hardheaded, and as he said, she wanted her successor to be nominated by the first female President, and assumed Hillary would win. That being said, the GOP Senate, especially Mitch McConnell, are absolute snakes for what they did preventing Garland’s nomination, and then suddenly pushing through Barrett during presidential election years.
It's a bit different because that was the death of a conservative judge, plus it wasn't really expected. RBG knew she was old and had a chance of not making it through potentially 8 years of a republican president. She should have retired two years into Obama's second term.
This is a good conversation on the podcast. Im not American and i understand where he is coming and see where part of the problem came from. So in all based on what he said, the democrats ran on the wrong issue to also get the men's vote.

Sara was the right host to pick for this podcast. The others would’ve spent the whole show interrupting and disagreeing instead of learning something about what turned so many people off Democrats.
Thank you to The View for helping Trump to be re-elected.
This is why, as Brian said, Stephen A. Smith is a “Podcast Royalty”. He is phenomenal
He kept not letting Sara speak
Right I noticed that!
She acts like the subservient woman around men
Let the brother speak --black men have not had their voice heard for centuries
valid points. democratic party is not bothered about wat their voters want, they dictate everything
And the Republicans don’t????
Trump Castigates people and say we are stupid if we don't agree with him... So What is Stephen talking about... It's not just democrats! Ugggh! This is what we mean by there are two different standards!
You are so right
Thank you I just made a comment saying the same thing. Total hypocracy.
Stephen is a politician. He’s making sure he can cater to both sides when he runs as independent 🙄🙄🙄
Is he the new black Mr No it all ( no is intentional) Trump.
MEN PROVIDE & PROTECT
Yeah but Trump v thousand voices in the left media so who do you think the people believed.
Stephen A. Smith let Sara Haines talk 😂🤣🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️
We will see Sara again on the podcast dont know when we will see Stephen again though it was a cool inclusion imo.
Oh, Sheldon!🤦♂️ Is that your take away from the episode. This is exactly the attitude he spoke about from us: the "it her turn" mentality 🙄
The way they treated Caitlin Clark is a great example of the problem with the Democratic left… very true.
The ladies of view need to listen to what Stephen is saying.Sunny
The only reason we don't have chaos is because Kamala and Democrats lost. If Trump had lost we'd have crazy chaos in the street.
Facts
@@mariabaca3941That is so true. funny now the election is not rigged
Ummm… hi, independent here, but have you looked at the news.. people are literally in the streets acting crazy cause Harris lost.
And that statement is exactly why democrats got destroyed😂
Russiagate/Antifa/BLM/Portland 300 day riot? That doesn’t ring a bell
I think that Stephen's suggestion would attract men to watch, and that viewership among the male demographic would increase because of it.
Sara I disagree with you a little because President Obama could not change any law without Congress and the Senate signing off.
This makes sense, he is right about everything. Democrats need to step down from their righteous thrones and try to listen to the common people. I am a lifelong Democrat since before I could vote.
Republicans don’t care about the working class
100% correct on one thing. The overarching tone from the Democratic Party this election cycle was, if you don't vote the way *we* want you to vote, you're a bad person. How many on the fence/moderate voters do ya think that tone of moral superiority won over? Exactly 0. And in fact it did the opposite by turning many of those people away from them. It was idiotic and frankly I don't think they will learn or be introspective. They will just point fingers at other people and do more of the same.
Sara is a two faced hypocrite. She is one thing on the View and another on the podcast.
How?
No she’s not. You just hear what you want to hear.
I was just saying this a few seconds before reading your comment.
She is though
His friend said that republicans don't scream and holler but they did that absolutely everyday for the last four years.
That's an absolute lie. There's a reason why that girl screaming "Noooo" in the middle of the street became a famous meme. It's because she perfectly personifies the typical unhinged TDS leftist😂
Thank goodness we ended the nightmare, turned the page, and can now look forward to what can be unburdened by what has been.

I really enjoyed this podcast!!!!
Amazing conversation! Everyone should have these conversations in their communities. Please try to build communities and work hard to welcome all perspectives.
Stephen sounds like KEVIN SAMUELS!!!
MANSPLAIN IT!!!
Stephen A. Smith is here and that's what's matters, completely dismissing Sara. WTF...
We need more democratic podcasts
I dont agree at all , half my family are repub and they are not quietEven now, they're not quiet and they won.
He’s speaking generally. Republicans generally don’t let it know they’re Republicans because they know of the intolerance that will come from the other side once they reveal that. So they just keep it to themselves and they vote on the issues.
The W commissioner needs to watch this
Not big fan of Stephen A...I knew Harris had no chance of winning, it was pretty obvious
No woman will ever be president! Democrat! Republican! Independent! It does not matter who they put up!
Why did sara and the producer show up?? ..this guy never shuts up...this isnt a conversation..its one long monoloque!!!
It’s so annoying when people will say something that’s slightly bad about a democrat. But before they do . That have to name 10 reasons they love them and 10 great things that did. When he talked about Michelle Obama . But when he talks about trump he goes off without anything positive
Is michelle obama a woman or a man?
what's positive about him?
@ there’s a very long list of. Clearly you are a daily viewer of the view and msnbc
@@MrJblive this is like my 2nd time on a view channel😂
I am genuinely asking you on what positives does trump have.
In my opinion, being a felon is more damning than other positive qualities.
@ haha well 1 of the biggest positives . There was not 1 war when he was president. There was peace . Prices were down. There’s a very long list. But there a few big ones. His chargers were actually all misdemeanors. But since he was trump. The upgraded them to felonies trying to use that to not get him elected .. but your mind is made up. I voted for him and can’t wait for him to clean up America . 🇺🇸
This man speaking all sorts of truth!!!!
But First Take is #1 because of SAS and when Cowboys loses lol
Good on you Brian for allowing him to expose who he really is.
Sara seems really quick to cosign his criticisms, but where is this energy when she’s on the show?
Dang Stephen, let Sara get a word in.
This was such a worthwhile listen!
Because you disagree? She lost ! Bad! It was record setting.
Sarah could be easily persuaded.
She's an independent she agrees with him
Yeah somewhat but she's an independent.
Much respect. Stephen has expressed what I have felt for years.
Did you forget Reps blocked Obama's SC justice nominee? Don't put blame on a SCJ, blame the reps
@@ABC-v9uthey always forget their part in things
Food prices are driven by climate activity. When Hurricanes and Tornadoes wipe out crops, it's a matter of supply and demand driving up costs
He’s gain a new fan. Brilliant man
The Dems don't represent the typr of men he is talking about, Trump appears to do that.
Maybe they do since Trump won them over.
Very informative and engaging. Very intelligent conversation. Thank you 😊
S.A. Smith is misinformed. Women supported abortion rights even without supporting Kamala in this race.
How?? ..id honestley like to kno...
I am a woman and never supported abortion rights, what are you saying?
Stephen A smith should stand as the president
Some good points but What about Merrick Garland. Didn’t they block his appointment because it was Obama’s last year as president.
We wanted Bernie instead of Hillary in 2016…..that was the beginning of all of this!
I Loved this podcast episode!!!!
America is a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy. Re-read the Constitution and the Pledge of Allegiance.
This is a good conversation on the podcast. Im not American and i understand where he is coming and see where part of the problem came from.
So in all based on what he said, the democrats ran on the wrong issue to also get the men's vote.
Best episode ever!
My first time watching. I 😊was really interested in what Steve a Smith had to say. I respect his opinion always, although I don’t always agree. *But I love to actively listen and process*. Also, I agree that there should be one male opinion on the show maybe even once a week. Great show. ❤
SAS is captivating!
Sarah is open minded, sweet, and nice, but she’s easily persuaded. 🤷🏾♀️
She’s just being polite
I loved this conversation!
A "self-righteousness to the left?" What, specifically, do you mean by that, Sarah?
Oh you're right I didn't catch that.
BREAKING NEWS: Black voters experience the same economy all other Americans experience and voted for Kamala Harris at an 80+% margin.
Stephen a smith for president!!!
This should be the show now.
He is talking about the witches of the view😂😂😂😂
Love the questions, responses, and overall conversation. Well done to all on the panel. SA, Sarah, good analysis on the politics and sports with good points on missed opportunities.
I find Sara so smug since she’s embraced this “independent” BS. Drives me up the wall.
Personally, I'm unaffiliated.
@ That doesn’t bother me in the slightest, it’s just the smugness. WE GET IT SARA, YOU’RE NOT LIKE THE OTHER GIRLS.
Totally Disagree! In No Way, Do I Detect Any Smugness From Her. I Find Her Views Very Well Thought Out & Very Well-Spoken. Also, I Find Her To Have A Very Pleasant & Respectful Personality. ❤ Her
How is she smug? Most of left leaning MSM will have to lean independent to save face after the last election.. The people see them for what they are now.
I can appreciate this perspective.
There are words and actions done by Trump that will never leave my brain. Stephen, Trump and Elon actions were so bad.
You are brainwashed.
Trump is coming to deport you personally
Amen brother!!!! Democrats feel entitlement with our Latino vote, but people are waking up and know that democrats just talk but don’t walk the walk.
Love this guy
Same!
First time watching this podcast l enjoyed all the information given from Stephen Smith very enlightened
Kamala Harris didn’t eat him during the debate. She got soft ball questions as usual
