On game 1 he reborns Garunix Eternity (the XYZ) with Arvata when he cant as the XYZ is pyro and Arvata only reborns beast/winged beast/beast warrior

Branded is just such a solid deck that its viable still with all the fire decks around.

Can someone explain the resurgence of branded? Feel like branded has always been good enough but I’ve been seeing it so much
Ash is not a main handtrap in the format
It has a good matchup with the MJ banishes, Lost preventing interaction, and lack of negates to help Branded have more successful fusions resolve. Gimmick Puppet also helps ensure a game even when sided like in g2 there which can help save on time against (FK)SE decks that can have some real time demanding turns

What a great game. Lots of interactions from branded it looked insane
two things. 1, first game why not just puppet lock? unless they just side it for going first which just feels wrong imo i feel that u %100 want it for if u win dice roll before they have the chance to side in any answers to it they may have in the side deck. 2, why not thrust for soul release to use after evenly when they already had aluber to get fusion and im p sure soul release gets rid of most if not all their remaining disruptions?

@@bulbapig441 A lot of people in these comments have this misunderstanding that Branded just insta loses to Ash. As a branded player who is currently top 100 in my country, it flat out doesn't. A lot of times it can bottleneck but like Imperm on Snake-eye Ash against Snake-Eye decks, it's good but not nearly enough to win every time. Nadir Servant, Thrust, Fusion Deployment, Quem and lot more cards make make Branded able to thrive in this format, and 1-2 handtraps are too fragile to stop the deck.
This + the added good counter FK matchup with Quem + Mirrorjade banishing their cards 2-3 of their bosses, and Sanctifire stealing their resources make it a very formidable threat right now and the top cut shows this as Branded is the 2nd most topping non-Fire deck right now.
Am i trippin or did he use mirrorjade 2 times under imperm? What am i missing??
You can dump with mirrorjade still. You just don't get to pop.

Man whenever Branded is featured on the channel I die a little bit whenever game 2 comes around because 9 out of 10 times the game just ends with Puppet-Lock into game 3. I would be very interested in seeing whether the deck is able to keep up with Snake-Eye without the instant-win-button or not...

What could have been an interesting back and forth between engines was abruptly halted by one player activating a floodgate effect, basically robbing us from one entire game worth of interaction. Same could have happened if Fire King drew ASF in G3
