A great day indeed when an English Oratorian is raised to our altars. St John Henry Newman shows us above all, that one cannot compromise with error and that with God’s help, no matter what the personal cost, we must be courageous and embrace Truth.
I have nothing of a Saint about me as every one knows...But those who are at a distance have fee-fa-fum notions about one. It is enough for me to black the saints’ shoes-if St. Philip uses blacking, in heaven. SJHN (Letter 1850)

Catholic . The Oratory is one of the biggest Catholic churches in the UK and the second biggest in London ( after Westminster Cathedral ) . London has another Catholic Cathedral south of the River Thames , St.Georges in Southwark . London ( UK )and Winnipeg in Canada are the only two cities in the world with two Catholic Archbishops , Westminster ( North of the Thames ) and Southwark ( South of the Thames ) .
Wow here in Dallas, Texas we have one million Catholics. In the whole of the UK only Four million Catholics and we get nothing like this just modernist BS.
Most Catholic churches in the UK are fairly modest he and less than 300 years old as the old medieval churches are now Anglican post reformation . There are a few gems like the London Oratory though . We have 23 Cathedrals in England and Wales and another 8 in Scotland and 4 in Northern Ireland . Some like Westminster in London , Liverpool and Norwich are quite large , most others are more modest down to the quite small ones in Brentwood and Shrewsbury .

Find a SSPX chapel.
@@adamyouker6449 how has Pope Francis anti traditional mass affected the London Oratory?
@@notnek202 No clue. I haven't been to a Novus Ordo Mass in over 20 years. If you're sick of Modernist garbage in Texas, find your local SSPX chapel.
