I am fascinated with your driving style, mostly because it's very similar to mine. I pretty much only use the left lane to overtake (unlike some pricks who turn it into their "personal right lane") although I tend to drive in a moderate to fast style, albeit mostly within the driving limits, and I'm an indicator freak, as I sometimes tend to overuse them. Like you, I also drive a MB, mine is the E300, and I bet sometimes you enter "beast mode" as I do xD but anyway, kudos on your driving, keep it going and look after your ride!

I am really happy to hear that someone appreciates my driving style and that you have a simmilar one! :) I am also a quick driving person but not agressive and as you said, a indicator freak :) I don't care if I am the only one on the street, I have to use the indicator. It's like a force who drags me to use this useful tool! :) Sometimes I see people driving nearly the same style and this makes me happy. Bei mir gibt es ein einzigen CLS 500 Shooting Break mit Vollausstattung AMG Paket Night Paket einfach alles und ich muss sagen das ist das schönste Auto was ich bisher in meinem Leben gesehen habe.
Man hat eine S Klasse, aber iwie auch ein Kombi aber iwie auch ein Coupe und iwie auch ein Sport Wagen. Ein unglaubliches Design. Wiedereinmal ein großes Lob an die Designer bei Mercedes.
+ICEMANZIDANE Muss ich Dir echt geben, finde ich auch! Wenn man dann noch diesen Holzboden im Kofferraum hat.... :) Und der 500er Motor ist ein Traum! :)
Ich bin grundsätzlich ein Auto fan jedoch speziell ein Mercedes kranker weil ich der Meinung bin das die die besten Autos bauen. Ich hatte letztens ein Traum wo ich Millionär werde und mit meinen Eltern nach Stuttgart fahre. Dort (also im Traum) war eine riesige Halle, jedoch komplett leer und dunkel. Nur in der Mitte der Halle war eine Beleuchtung. Dann fuhr ein solar beam SLS AMG Black Series vor, der war für mich. Nachdem ich mich ausgiebig ausgeheult hatte meinte ich zu meinem Vater das ich eine Überraschung für ihn hätte. Da mein Vater Kombis liebt und auch Mercedes Fan ist dachte ich ich könnte ein ganz spezielles Geschenk für ihn haben. Und dann kam da ein CLS 500 Shooting Break vorgefahren genau wie zuvor beschrieben. Mein Vater natürlich total begeistert und als er ein Rundgang ums Auto machte und den Kofferraum öffnete sah er den von dir genannten Holzboden . Im Traum konnte ich das lächeln im Gesicht meines Vaters sehen : ).
Das Auto hat einfach alles es kombiniert alles einfach stillvoll und perfekt.

Der CLS Shooting Brake X218 ist einfach ein absolutes Traumauto 😍😍⭐. Daimler muss ihn wieder bauen! Einfach so was besonderes im Portfolio 😍😍🙏🏼.
Der CLS sah vor der Mopf vorne wie mit einer Zorro-Maske aus. Der neue ist wunderschön - der schönste Mercedes neben dem S Klasse Cabrio wie ich finde - gerade als Shooting Break.
+golfdriver18 Finde ich auch! Das S Coupe und Cabrio sind halt schon abartig schön! Aber der CLS nach dem MOPF kommt gleich als Nummer 3 :)

+A Fan There is something as Financial Renting: I actually rent this car (it includes the Excellende service plan). It is feasible due to a good down-payment which is again due to high second-hand value of my previous E-Break 200.

It's not the same Panamera. The one in the beginning is the facelifted one, meanwhile the one on autobahn is the pre facelift one

Take a look in real life and you'll know it's not a problem. If this was such a problem there wouldn't be so much Mercedes sold every year.

@ Edwing Ortiz: Thanks for your comment. I don't know why but I have not the possibility to answer directly to your comment. The car looks from outside a little bit more sportive than a C class. But inside it feels more like an S class than a C class. The suspension, how quiet he is and so on. So I would definitly compare it to the S class. Good luck with your driving license!
what was that like a tab?
They are trying to take the C class back to its c280 roots from the 90's with this cls400 with the better sophisticated interior. The c250 interior looks cheap compared to the older c class from the 90's

Hi Serge! Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I had the car only for 24h. So have not the best figures for you. But on the motorway with normal speed (120 - 160 km/h) I had approx. 9-10l per 100km. Driving more cnsequent, 120 - 130 km/h I had something around 8. But sorry, I think this figures are not representative due to the short time I drove this car. But hope it helped! Bye
Will that adaptive cruise control system decrease the speed if the car infront of you go slower than the speed you set?
Yes, it keeps the distance you want him to keep according to speed. It decreases untill it stands still if necessary and it accelerates to the max you've set.

Hi and thanks for your comment! You are right. It is the cruise control and the automatic....sorry for my english, I do not know the english wording. Let me explain it that way: this car can follow automatically the car in front of you. You set your highest speed you would like to drive (for example 120 km/h). If the traffic goes slower, for example 80 km/h the car reduces speed till 80 and shows then this line from 80 to 120 km/h. So you can see everytime what is the set speed compared to the actual speed. I hope I explained it good enough ;-) If not, let me know...:)

I didn't remember yesterday how Mercedes call that technology instead of a simple "Cruise control" but now I remembered that is call "Distronic Plus", Mercedes and their technology's name..... lol

Alles schön aber warum fahren Sie dem vordermann bei 4min47 so dicht auf, das der Sicherheitsabstand unter 50m ist zu dem ist die Geschwindigkeit noch viel zu hoch. Vielleicht mal vorher die Betriebsanleitung online im comand nachlesen da weißt man auch warum die rote Warnzeichen Lampe im Tachometer angeht im Film bei 4:47 die rote Lampe heißt Kollision Gefahr

Vielleicht empfiehlt es sich bei Videos dieser Art, den Mitarbeiteraufkleber vorne links abzukleben bzw. zu verstecken. Ich bin mir sehr sicher, dass die das nicht so gerne sehen, wenn die Mitarbeiter mit den Werkswagen umgehen, als seien es reine Sportwägen, die dauerhaft mit hohen Drehzahlen bewegt werden müssten. Und Vollgas sowieso nicht, zumindest nicht auf den Videos ;)
Sicherlich verleiten 333 PS dazu, aber dafür wird so ein schönes und stylishes Auto ja auch nicht nur gebaut...
Rein aus Interesse würde mich trotzdem mal interessieren, in welcher Ebene du arbeitest? E3, E2 oder E1?
AviationSD Danke für den Hinweis! Es gibt natürlich eindeutige Richtlinien zum Dienstwagengebrauch, welche ich mit Sicherheit einhalte. Schnelles Fahren ist nichts, was ungern gesehen wird. Wohl aber asoziales und rückscithsloses Fahren, das wird nicht gern gesehen. Bei Kameraeinstellungen, die die grüne Plakette lesbar zeigen (also identifizierbar) wird diese abgedeckt.
TheApp9 Bitte, gerne! Also auf unserem Auto klebt die orange Plakette, aber sonst kann man nicht ablesen, welche Position der Mitarbeiter hat. Ich habe weiter unten gelesen, dass das Auto von einem Kollegen ist. Mich interessiert wirklich, in welcher Ebene er arbeitet, also ob er E3/2/1 ist? Rein aus Interesse, weil es häufig E4 gibt, die Fahrzeuge fahren, die deutlich über ihrem Berufslevel sind (500er und AMGs)...
AviationSD Haha....ja, ich kenne auch E4 die einen E 500 oder AMG fahren. ;-) Dieser Wagen war ein Glücksgriff aus dem Pool. Meine kleine B Klasse war in Reparatur und ich hatte wirklich das Glück einen fast nagelneuen CLS 400 SB zu bekommen. Ein Kollege bekam heute für seinen C 250 einen CLA 45 AMG. Bin schon ein wenig neidisch auf ihn ;-))

PitZery SQ Sorry I can not compare to other brands, but just had this car as an 400d and was amazed about how quiet the car was and it is comparable to the petrol car but little more quiet driven quick. There is the petrol built to sound a little like an V8. The car should be a little sporty, so it is quiet but mostly in S+ you hear the well sounding engine. But if you like to have an extremely, nearly not hearable engine the in-line 6 cylinder in the diesel is a little more comfortable and silent. But not saying this one is loud. Driven not pedal to the metal it is very quiet. And thank you so much for the video and especially for my driving style.

Danke Dir für dein Lob! Zu Deiner Frage....ich beantworte ja gerne jede Frage, die man mir stellt. Und wenn ich sie nicht selbst beantworten kann, frage ich auch mal einen Kollegen. Aber hier kann ich Dir maximal nur die genormten Verbrauchswerte nennen, die Du ja aber sicher nicht erfahren willst. Erfahrungswerte mit dem 400er und dem 350er kann ich leider echt nicht mit dienen. Ich hatte den CLS 400 nur für einen paar Stunden. Mehr als ein Fahrvideo sind dabei nicht rausgekommen, d.h. ich habe gar nicht bewusst den Verbrauch beobachtet und gemessen. Und als 350er habe ich bislang nur die Diesel gefahren. Letztere sind extrem sparsam, eine 6b vorm Komma ist da ohne besonders sparsames Fahren völlig normal. Aber realistische Werte kann ich Dir leider nicht nennen. Sorry!!!

ist ein guter Motor, 100tkm sind kein Thema.
Der 400er ist ein guter Motor aber in so einem schweren Auto würde ich persönlich lieber den 350 als Diesel holen oder direkt einen 500er. Mein Kollege fährt auch einen CLS400 und der braucht 12.0 Liter im Schnitt. Und CLS500 um die 14.. also so groß sind die Unterschiede nicht

Thank you very much for your kind comment. I use a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition and a cheap China Ebay Mount. I fix the camera with a suction cup tripod head first at the panorama roof. Hope this helps. cu

henday750 There are many different opinions. Some people say they see no difference between 60 or 24/25 fps. Which is the normal TV and UA-cam frame rate. I agree to your comment, I see a big difference too. I like to watch gaming videos and I prefer to watch them on 60fps. Maybe this is really (like Florian mentioned) one reason the video looks that smooth.
this car is amazing. I dont know that much about cars, im 18 and barely going to learn how to drive, so please excuse my ignorance, iwas just wondering, is this car a sports luxury car or a regular luxury car like the c class?
It's a luxury 4 door coupe. And the c class is affordable luxury. In a whole another category. If you want regular luxury get an E class, or an s class. But you know, it's an s class. Not a lot of people can afford it.

Jawoll, der Motor ist kalt und laut deiner Beschreibung ist er Nagel neu und du gibst gleich mal Vollgas. Sehr gut das schont den Motor.
Hä? Wo gebe ich bei kaltem Motor Vollgas? Man sieht an der Temperaturanzeige, dass der Motor nicht kalt ist (zumal er vor Beginn des Videos 7 Minuten warmgefahren wurde). Zwar steigt die Nadel noch ein klein wenig, bis ich auf der Autobahn bin, aber ein kalter Motor ist was anderes.
Sehr schönes Auto, was mir gerade bei der Entscheidung hilft, ob ich das Auto kaufen werde oder nicht. Sollte mehr von den Videos geben! Gerade im Stau konnte man schön sehen, wie relaxed man damit umgehen kann, wenn man bei der Konfiguration nichts vergisst :-)

Freut mich, wenn ich mit dem Video sogar ein wenig helfen konnte! :-) Ja, also selbst ich, als jemand der Assistenten und Heflern gegenüber eher skeptisch eingestellt ist, war von dem System so überzeugt, dass der nächste das auch haben wird. CLS 400 allerdings ist ein traumhafter Motor. Viel Spaß damit, wenn er dann in Deiner Einfahrt steht! ;-)
TheApp9 :-) Ich denke es wird ein Diesel werden. Gerade für Langstrecken, ist das einfach wirtschaftlicher :-) Aber nichts desto trotz, hätte ich gern das Innere der neuen C-Klasse. Wir haben aktuell die neue A-Klasse, und kennen das Problem mit der Klimaanlage. Man fummelt sich so beim Fahren durch das Menü, in der Hoffnung, man verstellt jetzt nichts falsches. Was das aufgesetzte Display an Vorteil bringt in dem man den Blick nicht von der Fahrbahn nimmt, zerstört die Klimaanlage wieder. Aber ansonsten ein wirklich tolles Design und Video natürlich :-)

gig2night Wirklich sehr schade, ich hänge mich gerne mal an solche Boliden ran. Nur mit meinem B200 den ich gerade habe, geht das ganz schlecht ;-)
ich frage mich die ganze zeit was dort im rückspiegel orange blinkt..hmm
Haha....das kann ich Dir verraten ;-) Ich habe die GoPro mittels Saugnapfstativ am gläsernen Dachhimmel gestgemacht. Nachteil dieser Position ist, dass man teils mein Gesicht im Rückspiegel sieht, weshalb ich das mit einer Videobearbeitungssoftware ein wenig verwische. Deshalb sieht man das blinken der eingeschalteten Kamera so verwischt und erkennt nicht eindeutig die blinkende Kamera :-)
Meinst du jetzt den Aussenspiegel oder den Innenspiegel? Wenn du den Aussenspiegel meinst, dann ist das der Totenwinkel-Assistent. Leuchtet orange, wenn sich ein Fahrzeug im Totenwinkel befindet und blinkt rot, wenn der Blinker in die gegebene Richtung festgelegt ist und lenkt das Fahrzeug bei einer bevorstehenden Totenwinkel Kollision zurück auf die Ursprungsspur.
Aber eins muss ich sagen lassen, der Distronic+ ist ein Must-Have bei einem jedem Daimler! Weiter so mit den Videos! :)

Thank you! YOu can buy the H-1 in Germany as well. Costs approx. 30.000 Euro as far as I know. But you are right, it is not a very common car here.
isn't a good idea to turn on the hazard lights in this situation (7:14) ??
Look into the mirror, the traffic was jamming and the lane full of slow cars. So I wasn't the end of a jam where upcomming cars with much higher speed have been could approached. Only in this cases I turn these lights on but not if the jam apperars, where it daylies appears and the traffic behind me is already slowing down. So watch please at my speed (I was far from standing still) and the traffic behind me....I see many cars (two on my lanes) allready recognizing what is going on. If I come to the end of an sudden jam, I stop with distance to the cars in front of me, so I can accalerate, if I see someone with not enought room to stop and turn on the hazard lights.

+Tobias Wiedmann Also ich bin lange die 6 Zylinder DIesel (350er) gefahren und auch (leider nie lange) den C 63 AMG. Also der 400er ist ein Geniestreich! Ein 6 Zylinder, der wirklich böse und agressiv lklingt, wie ein 8 Zylinder. Das ist krass, aber der 400er ist viel eher mit einem bösen AMG 8er zu vergleichen. Beim Gas wegnehmen ploppt es fett im Auspuff und bei Drehzahlen über 3.500 rpm kreischt er ein wenig, wie ein F1 V10 im Tunnel von Monaco ;) Du kannst ja mal mein SL 400 Video anschauen. Da kommt der Sound recht realistisch rüber.

Hatte zugenommen und mir passte ein paar Tage nur mein alter 52er Anzug ;-) Sonst und vor allem am Wochenende fragt sich der geneigte Interessent eher, wie ein Hartz-4 Empfänger sich so ein Auto leisten kann ;-) Wobei Letztere oft weniger abgerissen und rasiert herumlaufen ;-)

Wakusa Das mache ich, wenn die Kamera aus ist. Ich glaube ich hätte mit heftigerem Fahrstil mehr Däumchen runter als hoch ;-) Hast aber Recht, die 333PS drücken wirklich in jeder Lebenslage. Das fühlt sich sehr geil souverän und kräftig an. Macht wirklich Spaß. Gut, ich durfte letzt einen CLA 45AMG fahren. Hätte ich nicht gedacht, aber der hat nochmal gefühlt viel mehr Bumms, aber das ist auch eine völlig andere Art Auto ;-)

Das amerikanische Pendant heißt Highway oder Freeway, aber die Amerikaner haben nichts wie unsere Autobahn, deshalb nennen die Highways, wie sie in Deutschland existieren (oder glaube Europa) Autobahn. Das hat sich dort durchgesetzt, wie "Kindergarden" ;)

My Volvo T5 is just a bit faster than this. 2 differences : the Volvo weighs less, FWD, and if you want to pull up vs a 400 cls, I have to work, he doesn't.

Volvo is no where near a Benz ,BMW,AUDI OR LEXUS in tech performance or quality .They use to be up there but everything they make now is closer to a Toyota or Honda
