I’ve had an SL with ABC; worst car I ever owned; constant problems and thousands and thousands of pounds. Just got a 2010 SL350 and feel so much happier it’s not got ABC.

Fluid must be changed every 20k miles from day one. Or the suspension is ruined. It's a complex system but totally demystified in 2023. There's even transparent magnetic fluid filters we use to upgrade the endurance of the ABC system.
I drive r230 too! but with the round lights! to me there classier! I do think there quicker than what advertised.I think they do that for insurance reasons! You're so right driving a SL There is nothing like it! The inside of the SL even 20 years old looks like new the quality of workmanship can hold up 100 years. When I drive my SL it puts a smile on my face every time. I think it is an event to drive the SL! I think the ride is perfect not too hard not to soft and wallowy! everything is laid out very nice in the SL. The ride is superb! I am a trader so I know that we are down in the United States to 1990 levels of CO2 before the pandemic innovation! and gas prices will remain low for the foreseeable future! Enjoyed your video I feel the same way as you do and many many other SL drivers

I was thinking of getting the SL55 AMG or E46 M3 Convertible but I am edgy about the maintenance costs😅lol but I think this SL 350 V6 is good enough, sleek looks and drives incredibly fast and smooth for my budget and lifestyle😊. Watching your vlog i have made up my mind this is definitely the next car for me 😎✅👍

Nice video well done......the V6 pulls well and economy is good. I would get the boys in Romford to convert the exhaust to a quad like I did for about £600 totally changes the note when driving. The next thing is to save up and go for the “daddy” SL55 you ll never look back (trust me) with all those hot hatchbacks out there lol

Drove my friends 350sl and it's really ample.power for what is a GT cruiser, the only issue I found was a rattly roof, not sure if it's common across the different model years

Rear window starting to delaminate and corrosion on inner rear wheel arch’s but I could get it for £11,000 through trade. Sorry to prattle on. Thats pretty expensive, but very low mileage and is mint condition other than the two things you mentioned. Is it the facelift or pre facelift? Personally think its a good deal. Check that the c pillars are not leaking and check the ac because these things can cost a lot to fix. Thank you so much, comments like these is what keeps me sticking to this.
Apologies I’ve only seen this, I’m afraid you need to get an aux Bluetooth adapter. I bought one for my brother for around 24 quid on Amazon. Really good quality though much better than the ones that use the radio.

Didnt know the 350’s didn’t have abc suspension. Deff makes the 350 more desirable in my eyes now. Simple is better in my opinión.

The SL500 does not have air suspension, it has oil hydraulic! Still a nightmare when it goes wrong.

The Sl500s have ABC active body control which isn't an air suspension is a hydropneumatic shock system

What's the main difference between the SL 350 and SL 500?
The 500 has a v8 engine so will be smoother, sound nicer and is more powerful. But the 350 is a great car!
Active suspension, two cylinders more and about 100BHP more. SL55 is worth the extra over the 500, I reckon.

To the aux cable. Then the device connects to your phone via bt. If I remember correctly the aux is in the glove box.
