Excellent video, and genius idea to use the bike box as a stand!

I Laughed so hard when he had to hop to get on it (in a good way), very nice video and kudos to him for ripping such a big bike, he is going to be a great rider, I can feel it

WoW love it, SPECIALIZED videos always make me happy on the inside and wanting to ride. Now all I need 3000$ and STATUS to be available in Hungary. ✌️

I am looking at a specialized status 160 for my next bike since the s4 ( lg ) has 30mm more reach than what I have currently( s3 has 12mm more )but the headtube is shorter by 10mm and the seat tube angle is 1.5 degrees steeper. I've thought about downsizing for this frame. I'm 6'2 and currently on a Commencal HT/AM Meta LG that has a reach of 450mm and is the perfect fit for me. I've been running it with a 170mm Marzocchi bomber. With the shorter reach, I'm still able to keep the front end down easily on climbs. My riding is mainly done on local trails, flowy, small jumps, and rollers with some punchy climbs. I've always enjoyed a smaller bike as I do not ride for distance and I've always liked a smaller frame. What would be your opinion?

No grease on the pedals? No friction paste on the bar/stem interface? No pad spacer in between the brake pads? The last issue is likely to prohibit most customers to be able to install their front wheel…..

Friction paste only on carbon bars or carbon stem.
This is way better than the standard sh*tty manuals manufacturers provide with bicycles by law. That thing hasn't changed at all in the last 20 years. The manuals still include instructions for adjusting cantilever brakes, old skewers and triple chainrings.
I agree with you. that front axle is going to get loose in no time.

I'm not sure why the default is to whine and complain on a video these days. We should be stoked that companies are making videos like this.

Hi - I just ordered one. Does it come with the pump and torque wrench mentioned around the 2:10 mark?

Awesome bike. What size did you go with vs height/age? Planning for my 12yr old who’s 5’1” and growing and prefers smaller bikes.

It really depends on how much more you think your child will grow. For instance if you get s2 it will last them till they are around 5’8” but if you get a s1 it will last till they are around 5’4”. I am 6’2” and ride a s4 because I like a smaller bike as well. Hope this helps
