That is awesome! So glad you love them as much as I do! And agreed, they are really well made (and may have been considered perfect if Orko's scarf was painted completely). Still, overall they are just awesome figures. And thanks so much for the kind words, Sunnyshine! It is always so great to hear from you! 🙂
@@foreterniaofficial welcome! Always enjoy your videos. I agree about the scarf but it’s to be expected I guess due to this being mass produced and a lower price .If it was a Super7 figure then the gold would be there. I am actually surprised they managed to squeeze the amount of stuff in this set as well as the articulation on Gwildor😮I think I will follow you and also paint the trim on the scarf!
@@sunnyshine2215Indeed. Painting that scarf tail should be pretty easy to do, even for an amateur like me. 😀 Also, that is a terrific point and a great reminder that I should always keep in mind the mass production and price point. Imagine if these were Super7 figures like you mentioned. I really like their Conan the Barbarian line but at $55 per figure for their core wave... something like that would be unaffordable for a good portion of our community. It would be so awful to see so many fellow fans priced out.
I like the fact Revelation/Revolution serves to mark the animated debut of various characters, like Clamp Champ and Scareglow before and now Gwildor. I also like the idea of the sword being upgraded with magic and technology. As a 200X fan, it reminds me of the scrapped plotline from that show for He-Man's sword.
Indeed! They also gave us the animated debuts of Blade, Pigboy and Goat Man too I believe. Someone else mentioned the 200X parallels with the upgraded sword to me a while back and I completely forgot. Terrific point! I wonder if a nod to 200X is what the writers were going for? That would be very cool. 🙂
@@foreterniaofficial I forgot about that. Still a tad disappointed we've not had Blade or Goat Man in Masterverse or Origins. Hopefully Mattel will eventually correct that. On the topic of animated debuts in Revolution, I've also heard a doctor character introduced in the DC comics will make his. I'm hoping that's the case, and I hope there are a few more. I'd personally like to see a character introduced in 200X like Zodak or Dekker appear in the series.
@@pawcanadaPerhaps if not in the Revelation/Revolution subline, we will at least get a Blade in the Masterverse 1987 Movie subline (but it would be awesome if he came out for Origins too.) And while I personally prefer Zodac over Zodak (that's just me), Dekker appearing in Revolution would be amazing! From your lips to Zoar's ears, let's hope! 🤞🙂
@@foreterniaofficial True. Hopefully he'll be announced soon as he's my favourite of the movie villains. And I'm expecting we will see him in Origins, albeit as a Mattel Creations exclusive. And that's fair. I used to be a big Green Lantern fan, so I like to see Zodac as Hal Jordan and Zodak as Jon Stewart, and have the two working together as cosmic enforcers.
@@pawcanadaI never thought of both Zodac and Zodak existing in the same continuity. They might have to blend philosophies (I always preferred the content with Zodac as the less cosmic enforcer, more cosmic observer in that Filmation /old DC / new Masterverse comics vein.) Maybe Zodac's and Zodak's philosophies can be at odds. That is really an interesting idea!
orko firing off on all cylinders there at the end looks ✨️ *incredible* ✨️ but yes aj, i agree with you 100%, i also wish mattel made it rainbow colored and not all transparent blue, it looks more mystical and cosmic in the animation. but it's still a w figure (along with gwildor) i love the swivel feature with the base, allowing us to display orko with more expression. an orko figure needs a swivel base because he doesn't have any facial features and being a smaller character means that there is less room for articulation on the body.
It would look more mystical and cosmic wouldn't it? If it was clear like the base perhaps I could give it some translucent color custom touch-up but no such luck when it's blue. 😕 But you are so right, the swivel base is so important for Orko. Definitely! I always look forward to your feedback! You are just the best! 🙂
yes, i noticed that too. 😭 my guess would be that orko is just a smaller figure, and mattel wouldn't want to make people feel rip-offed. i remember feeling a little underwhelmed when i first got my origins orko figure, thinking that whilst i loved this sculpt and articulation, i still felt like i was getting less in the package for around the same price as, say, a he-man or skeletor figure
Yeah I started collectionning Masterverse figures cause I was too late, but Couldn't even find the Hordak figure in Europe... It's hard being an old'ass nerd sometimes;.. THX for the message 🙂@@adora_lovely It's ashame, I don't need Gwildor or savage He-man, I just wanted Orko, not gwyldor or savage He-man... But I guess you're right...
Probably because compared to a full priced figure, Orko is worth about 1/3rd of the regular retail price. And either Mattel releases him at full price anyway, and pissed everyone off OR the release s figure for $12, which they'd never actually do.
Not keen on the first season of the cartoon or the cartoony looking design of these but I am a sucker for Gwildor. Would rather just have him alone as I don't like or want that Orko design.
I can respect that. We actually have someone in our community that is looking to offload his Gwildor. Maybe you both can connect and work something out. 🙂 foreternia.com/community/action-figures/masterverse-general-discussion/paged/2#post-7804
@allenstadt598 Yeah, it's pretty cool.. It looks like normal clear blue plastic but if you reflect light off of it you can see the prism colors...Surprised no reviews have mentioned it so far.
8:17 his legs are only loose cos you've been letting him drink, aj 😂 tomorrow morning, help gwildor sober up some with a bacon and egg breakfast and some black coffee. then he should be good without the use of a stand lmao
Hands down the best review of these on UA-cam. Good job.
Aw thanks buddy! I really appreciate that. You are way too kind, but thank you! 🙂

It's definitely a great set! 🙂
I wish his eyes design was similar to Billy Barty’s in the original.
Hopefully Mattel plans on releasing another Gwildor under their 1987 movie subline as well, which would carry Billy's iconic features!
I wanna drink with Gwildor so bad now! Just talking trash about Beastman all night, and how Evil-Lynn is a hottie 😂
Is operating a cosmic key under the influence considered heavy machinery? 😄
@@foreterniaofficial there’s no telling what they did to that power sword
What annoys me is that Orko will neve be sold as a standalone in the Masterverse series. Why? Isn't he a key figure of the masters of the universe?
