Another informative content here cabalen, if I only knew about this then I’ll probably did this method, I used to have matured kalamansi and we moved so I have to leave mine, if only I knew this I’d cut from my matured kalamansi so I can start another one, wow look at the cutting you got from your friend it has blooms! Wow I’m impress! I’ll definitely going to try this!

Ayy...sayang naman yung iniwan mong calamansi cabalen...ang hirap pa namang maghanap ng halaman. When you try this method, be sure to make a lot, coz hindi lahat eh magiging successful. Goodluck cabalen when you try this method

great that you've had success. shoots don't show success though. in fact, when shoots come early, rooting may not happen because the energies go to the shoot development pulling these from root development...blessings

  • @lorenbush8876

Most citrus trees are polyembryonic and if they are you will get more than one seedling from each of those seeds, if I remember the biggest ones are exact clones of the parent and the smaller one is not an exact clone. You are right ,cuttings is 100% no matter what. The way I've been doing it is to strip the green back about an inch down to the white woody or more solid part, I call it the cortex and just put it in glass with enough rain water in it to submerge where you scraped the green material off and wait until it forms roots. I would just put one cutting per glass because the roots seep to be delicate and break off fairly easily, hopefully they will harden up after they are in some potting soil and out of just water.

I use old soft drink bottles instead of the bag, just cut it in half or whatever size you want and sit it on top. You can also have less humidity after it roots if you want by just taking the lid off and leaving the bottle on.
If there's enough left of the bottom half of the bottle you can also turn that into a makeshift pot.

It is generally not consider good and proper way to multiply the citrus cuttings whatever type they may be oranges, Grapefruits, Pomelo, Kinnow, Malta, Narangi Mausambi and lemons and limes as the trees don't perform well later. Certain limes and lemons may however grow well and produce good quality fruit throught the life span please. The best option still remains vegetatively only producing seedlings of wild types and then geaftibg budding etc. please. This is only tricky and just wastage of time please. 👌👍❤️🙏🙏

Rule number one do not put your cuttings into the hormone container. You can contaminate it put it in a baggie rule number two kill the fan rule number three keep your videos short you could’ve done this whole video in less than a minute.
