The decision to hold the regional competition in Bridgeport was made last year, long before UCONN was even assured of earning a place in that regional. So, even it may seem biased, it's just how things work out sometimes.
Regional host get decided long before seeding. It has happened many times before for many different teams in the women's tournament. People are obviously more mad because it's Uconn and they have great fan attendance. But starting next year there will only be 2 regional hosts instead of 4 and it wont be in Connecticut.
