Unless there is a medical reason, do NOT shave your cat, especially if they have long fur. It is difficult for them to grow it back in properly and frequently mats. Also, it won't help cool them off in the summer. Their fur helps them regulate their temperature. Seriously, just leave your cat's fur alone.
I agree. If you brush your cat every day, his hair won't mat. I don't understand why people would allow their cat to be traumatized (noise of shaver) I got rid of matted hair by brushing my sister's Persian every day. I used a cordless shaver (less noisy) to shave off very matted areas and only dis one area per day because the cat got scared of the sound
Once had an older gentleman come in with his long haired black cat. He was concerned that his cat had trouble walking. The kitty had mats in her armpits and pelvic area. I explained it to him and he watched as I clipped her mats out of those areas, freeing her limbs. She could walk. I did an exam on her and the mats were her only problem. I then carefully cut the remaining mats from behind her ears, on her chest and back legs. She looked a little moth eaten but free of mats. He was happy. His kitty was very happy and I was happy. He would bring her in every 4-6 weeks for her nails to be trimmed (free) and she didn't have any problems with mats after the first visit. No total shave down. Wasn't needed. 😺
Dogs that have special fur or undercoats shouldn't be shaved unless medically necessary. Some of this is cruel. Huskies should not be shaved, just combed, they needs their fur to protect them from the elements - cold and hot. Cats should not be shaved just don't do it, their fur is important to them in so many ways. Dogs who naturally have hair over their eyes are meant to have hair over their eyes as that is how they are. That hair protects their eyes, they see perfectly OK, take that hair away and they get eye problems. Please, just think before you do any of this. It can be classed as abuse to the animal, especially to those I have mentioned.

We got our little dog 9 years ago as a puppy. It was a rare to have a "good grooming experience" ... both for her and for me. Finally, I gave up and I've been grooming her for the past four years. Is it easy? No. Have I cut my finger? Yes. Did I have to invest in grooming tools? Yes. But it was worth it. I groom her whenever she looks like she needs it and she enjoys it. Not the bath ... but being on the table and being brushed and combed and clipped. I'm tender with her and she always ends up looking "just the way I want her to look". I hate groomers. I've been treated like krap, I've been taken advantage of, my dog has been abused (and drugged). I know that not all groomers are bad.

I feel like it violates some kind of convention.
I had major laughs at these pics as some of these were really funny looking, however, if any groomer did that to my dog or cat I would be absolutely furious. To shave an animal is pretty drastic and a husky is absolutely appalling.
1:09 - It's the Michelin Mutt!
Actually that dog looks better inside of worse 5:31

Dont shave long haired cats or huskeys...come on guys, it ruins the coat.
Title checks out.
A lot of them are actually cute, some others looks photoshop but still cute & some funny it’s a perfect mix
WHY? Oh Why? Oh WHY?

4:28: GET ANOTHER VET! 😲
5:10: LMAO! I SEE IT! I don't GET it, but I see it! 🤯
Y'all stop shaving your double coated dogs especially huskies unless they need it medically. It doesn't grow back right and they can't temperature regulate. They are built to blow the undercoat so they can manage warmer months with long hair still

That dog looks wonderful. I don't see the problem???
What is wrong with folks?
everyone: OMG DONT SHAVE DOGS AND CATS!! EEHUIRFHW
me: boi calm down we get it enjoy the damn video
I wonder if they know.
so.. I'm confused... are these double coated dogs, in this video, shaved due to medical reasons, or for fun? I'd hate to report this video for animal cruelty, otherwise. some said here that it was for that, but most weren't specified. could we NOT shave double coated dogs please?!.. and cats.. lets not bother cats unless their life is in danger?! don't like it .
Hilarious
Just... fascinating...
whoever thinks this is funny has no sympathy for any animal and should neither breed nor own a pet
