When I was 27 years old I studied printmaking in Iowa with Mauricio Lasansky. Two years later a 4 ton 1850 printing press made by Karl Krause in Leipzic was dry shipped from Rome Italy through the great lakes to Ann Arbor Michigan. I was a print maker until 1982 when I started enamelling etched plates with vitreous enamels and the press lay fallow in a greenhouse--Now, as I am moving and leaving the press behind, and a computer has become my right and left hand, I am planning to return to engraving, as I did in my Roman exile, in 1964.-- The copper plates I shall use lay in my basement since 1982; they are moving with me now into an apartment. Let us hope this albatross in copper shall again fly with me as I become 78 years young. == Fiammetta Rubin at " rubinartstudios.com "-- arrivedereci e auguri--- YES< YOU ARE VERY GOOD!
