This drink has been a favorite among students for many years. When making Skittles Vodka you can choose to make a separate bottle for each flavor or mix two or three of the flavors to make a combination. The process is very simple and only takes about 20-30 minutes of preparation. You start off by placing the skittles in a glass or bottle of vodka and waiting for it to infuse. The Skittles infused vodka is then filtered to get rid of any un-dissolved skittles. The drink is best served chilled and can be used to mix in cocktails or taken as shots.

This was a really good demo on what to do definitely not too long it was thorough and informative, cant wait to make mine also want to make Palma Violet Gin.
I made it and its lovely i even managed to find bottles like yours its a pity i cant send you a picture.
Make it easier. Take a magic bullet or some other grinder, first lightly smashing the skittles (color group) and then grind it up. Pour the powder into the bottles. They dissolve better. 2 hrs and then strain.

We used to split out the colours and set the purples aside in college. The purple jar would usually have a "surprise" ingredient in it. We had to stop when one of the guys ended up in hospital. Young and stupid.

how long can a mixer like this be stored in the freezer
Alcohol last forever. Not sure on skittles. Frozen stuff tends to get a stale taste at year 1-3. So you can assume 1 year. However freezing stuff and fridgerating it makes the taste stale to dofferent degrees
Word of advice: Dont use sour skittles (if your going to do this)

It’s fun to do, the flavor is okay you can definitely still taste the vodka. I would say the lemon mixes the best with the vodka!

I think maybe despite dissolving you still wanna filter out any gooey candy residue that can prevent smooth drinking. But that's just a theory...A LIQUOR THEORY...I'll go now.
I don't suggest putting glass bottles in the freezer just in case they may break.
They shouldn't break, because vodka doesn't freeze at those temperature. Glass bottle break when the liquid inside hasn't enough space to freeze because liquide(water) take more space when they freeze.

I like sweet so I dont think it's too sweet. But the filtering is a PAIN IN THE ASS. I have done the same thing putting a coffee filter over a big cup and i swear it takes like 12 hours to filter each flavor. And you have to change the filter several times because the wetness starts spreading to the outer edges and it may rip. It drips like one drip every few min it is so slow. And you have to change the filter several times because it fills up with this sugar gunk and once theres a film on there it wont filter anymore and you have to put a new coffee filter on. I swear I used like 20 filters. Not worth it. Jolly Rancher infused vodka is so much better and easier! You dont have to filter and it dissolves to much faster without all that gunk you have to filter out. They have blue raspberry, grape, watermelon, cherry, and green apple in a variety bag or you can go on amazon and pick out your favorite flavor and get a pound bag of the same flavor. But yeah I would definitely go with doing Jolly Ranchers it takes soo much less time and its less sugary but delicious!
