The Fan Editions from Samsung are great option if you wait for an year for price drop. Given the number of years the phone will receive updates you will get a great deal for good screen and camera after a large price drop by 2025. Just look at the previous FE.
@@malystxy5601 agree but the drop in price is usually higher for FE and it comes under budget phones price category if you can wait enough. s24+ will become a highly affordable flagship whereas FE becomes a decent budget to midrange option. Rest is upto preference.
The S20 FE 5G was the best of the best! It had everything you could want in a flagship with midrange prices. Wish I was more careful after 3 years ownership. Bloody dropped it camera face first. No point repairing it when Google offered more than the phone was worth when upgrading
I think we all need to just agree that Apple and Samsung have mostly peaked. It doesn’t matter which one is better,they both hit cozy spots and haven’t really been doing shit since. If you have a good phone just KEEP it and let’s start taking advantage of these software update promises.
Where are the LTPO 4.0 displays with high PWMS? Where's the faster charging rates? Where's the flagship camera hardware? Where's the one inch main sensor? Headphone jack? SD card slot? No way Samsung or Apple has peaked. They're purposefully withholding features that chinese phones have offered for a while.
This is the way. I have an S21+ and it's still enough phone for probably another 2 years as it's getting Android 15 and another year and a half of security patches. It even currently has a lot of the AI gimmicks people with shiny brand new iPhone 16's don't have yet lol. Gonna get a used S24+ for probably $250 on eBay by that point.
If Samsung really cared about their "fans" they should've given it a headphone jack, a micro sd card slot and a charger included in the box, otherwise it's just another lame parts bin phone to scam their "fans"

I think this phone will hit the sweet spot once sale prices come. 1. Samsung non-top flagship phones of late always start at a high price and see significant discounts. This will be A LOT of phone after the price drops another $100 to $200 in 3 to 6 months at Black Friday sales. It will be a real awesome deal then. 2. The bezels aren't at all bad. The chin is there, but it is actually a positive for people who use a case. The thin bezels on my s23 Ultra can be too close to the edge of a solid case that offers screen protection. The bezels are close enough to flagship that I don't care. 3. The speed is really great. Enough for 99% of actual users. If you want the Snapdragon phone, then go buy it and shut your cake hole. Half of the comments are China bots and middle schoolers anyway. 4. Thank you to the producer of this video for pointing out that the battery will likely improve after a week or two of internal optimization. 5. If you want a Chinese phone with great specs but a wonky UI, crap support and lacking updates, then get one and STFU for the 2 years it is actually viable. 6. The only things I dislike is the weight and slow charging. I would rather have a lighter glasstick back to bring the weight down, as I use a case anyway.
Funny thing is even Xiaomi is offering 4 years of full support and two other years of sw security updates right now. We reached a point where users can pick what they prefer. And even as a long term Samsung user I gotta admit those new Xiaomis are really something good. The only thing that really makes me stay with Samsung is it's sw and overall experience and my ecosystem that was based around Samsung.

charging that much for what is effectively a slightly better A-series is just... If they're going to charge anywhere near that much, the least they can do is put either the current gen (or 1 gen older) snapdragon chip + removable expandable storage in.

I like the size and would have liked the + version, but with no SD expansion I wanted the 250 version, that would be, cost wise, a step too far.
I have the s20 fe but even the s24 fe doesn't have the sd card slot and all the fe models after s20 fe never had them. SD card slot in a flagship killer phone or midrange phone is really important...
Give you some way round this, buy a mini c type Micro SD card adaptor as it can be used as a mini card reader, but this is why They have done away with SD card slots because making more money with cloud rubbish, as no privacy at all,

I have the A55 and I live in the US. It's pretty good. I have the S20+ but, it no longer will receive updates. I love the phone a bit more than the A55. The camera is just okay. The finger reader sometimes doesn't work. The updates are spot on. The call quality is much better then the S20+. The battery life is great. It supports AI.
I was using a a54 and I was good even have a thicker bezel and while you using it you couldn't recognize the bezel and the thicker bezel help you to not over touch the side of the screen

I came from iphone 14 to this and so far massive upgrade. Feels good to be able to just make my phone my own again. And the beautiful display and the battery life been much more noticeable.

No just get the s24 plus base is 256gb where s24 regular is 128gb and is ufs storage speed will 3.0 instead 4.0 if you are then get 256gb for ufs 4.0 storage speed
Especially when used S22's and S23's are around or even under $400 on the used market. Next year the S24's will be that price. This is a pretty pointless product unless Samsung means to mass produce these to practically give away to carriers in the US which is why I think they went with an Exynos chip.

The FE is a great mid-tier option for those who aren't so particular about specs but still want a decent phone with a great camera. Only downside I see is from the battery threshold being lower. Great Review 👍🏿
So, $650- $700 seems to be the new price level for midrange phones. Samsung and Apple make this seem reasonable by placing the top models at $1500-$2000. And people keep buying their products and thereby endorsing this.
To me it looks like a great phone with lots of value and tons of features for mid range price. Granted, with so much choice out there, including Samsung models, it can get very confusing so it's nice to see these reviews and comparing specs. This is definitely the best Samsung phone I've ever heard and I have the s23FE the s24 plus and regular and I like this one way better then all of them it has slight cover around the back and it just feels the best out of all of the ones I mechend about. I got the light gray one and it does well with the fingerprints can't see them at all. Battery life after the first week of use is phenomenal I'm getting about 7 hours of screen on time. Better then any other Samsung phone I've used.

In the US the S24 is $200 more and currently on pre-order they giving $250 for the s20+. Going to exchange for my mom so she can have security updates for the next 7 years (though probably exchange at 4). I don't think she will notice the change in resolution, but will appreciate the zoom lense.

On my s20fe i get around the same battery life as you do on the s24fe....but mine is 3 years old at this point. I'd prefere if they put just plastic on the back of the phone instead of glass and put some better battery in there. Plus i am definetly not a fan of the exynos chipset. I experienced it before and while on the low end it is fine, on the higher end it tends to be hot. Realy hot.
I have just gotten a Galaxy A35 not even a week ago (Tomorrow will be one week) and I have to be honest with you, other than the cameras, I feel no need at all for an upgrade. I get 120Hz, GREAT stereo speakers, all the processing power I need for my social media and messaging, I just wouldn't upgrade unless we are talking about the S24 Plus or Ultra. (Or if I liked small devices I would go for the regular S24) They do have nicer things that I would like, luxuries, but those are things I like, not things I need.

Hmmm, it was kinda expensive even for a long time after and it has battery, heating and gps problems for me, camera can produce great images and solid video but also both sometimes very terribly for example in low light or weird circumstances where it just looks way overprocessed

2400e is actually a monster chip too brother. it can activated ray tracing btw, with npu high enough to process all the AI features and gaming is handled pretty well too. i think we need to give them a chance to prove themselves. their exynos is getting better every year
@@hipetwa trust me brother, exynos 2400e is far more powerful than you think. dont get trapped at "snapdragon is the best", please measure all other details, you cant say snapdragon 8 gen 1 is better than exynos 2400e, or 8 gen 2, single core and multi core of exynos 2400e is monster. and try to remder something, S24 fe will have shorter time to render it all. just do your research first before you compared it to the older model
I just ordered this because it was free with a new line plus I’m currently on iPhone 11 so I feel like all the changes will be new for me and the price makes it worthwhile. I’m sure if you had a newer Samsung you’d feel the way I do about iPhones, they’ve peaked.

I stopped buying samsung. They stopped listening to customers. 1. Expandable storage. 2. 12 gb of ram not 8 3.1440 p display not 1080p 4. 1 tb option for regular s23.s24. s25. 5. Bring back the se model. Until they do this i will use other brands.
For the price, I'd rather pick the A-series over this. Having that "S" moniker was supposed to be for Samsung products with better quality. This could've easily been the "A74" with that size.

Nah, brother, A55 has great battery life (8-10 hours of screen time). FE once again fails in that aspect.

Especially when used S22's and S23's are around or even under $400 on the used market. Next year the S24's will be that price. This is a pretty pointless product unless Samsung means to mass produce these to practically give away to carriers in the US which is why I think they went with an Exynos chip.

The inner stuff in FE is far superior to 14T's. It sure doesn't support the real fast charging and wireless one, but those performance specs are still rare for this price.

The FE is a great mid-tier option for those who aren't so particular about specs but still want a decent phone with a great camera. Only downside I see is from the battery threshold being lower. Great Review 👍🏿
So, $650- $700 seems to be the new price level for midrange phones. Samsung and Apple make this seem reasonable by placing the top models at $1500-$2000. And people keep buying their products and thereby endorsing this.

To me it looks like a great phone with lots of value and tons of features for mid range price. Granted, with so much choice out there, including Samsung models, it can get very confusing so it's nice to see these reviews and comparing specs. Despite some of the comments preferring the S23 FE or S24 + I decided to order the S24FE yesterday through Samsung and they were offering some nice discounts, including a phone trade which dropped the price from $700 Canadian to (after purchasing a 45 W charger and case) to $486
The price is crazy but then again 7 years of software support is what makes it understandable if you plan keeping it for that long

Agreed. My s20 fe battery is dying too, need to recharge several times a day, and the heating of the phone has been hurting my hands for years. I am looking for a new phone now, preferable the ones that has less heating issue. maybe xiaomi 14t, 14t pro, or vivo v40.

They should change their nomenclature. This phone never justifies the word S with it. they should have named it A75 or anything like that. How can a S series phone be so dumb? The crazy thing is It's a 2024 phone that comes with thicker bezels than its predecessor S21 FE.

This is definitely the best Samsung phone I've ever heard and I have the s23FE the s24 plus and regular and I like this one way better then all of them it has slight cover around the back and it just feels the best out of all of the ones I mechend about. I got the light gray one and it does well with the fingerprints can't see them at all. Battery life after the first week of use is phenomenal I'm getting about 7 hours of screen on time. Better then any other Samsung phone I've used.

I was using a a54 and It was good even have a thicker bezel and while you using it you couldn't recognize the bezel and the thicker bezel help you to not over touch the side of the screen
In the US the S24 is $200 more and currently on pre-order they giving $250 for the s20+. Going to exchange for my mom so she can have security updates for the next 7 years (though probably exchange at 4). I don't think she will notice the change in resolution, but will appreciate the zoom lense.
The battery being 4700mah and that 25W charging makes it a horrible buy even on sale.

On my s20fe i get around the same battery life as you do on the s24fe....but mine is 3 years old at this point. I'd prefere if they put just plastic on the back of the phone instead of glass and put some better battery in there.
Plus i am definetly not a fan of the exynos chipset. I experienced it before and while on the low end it is fine, on the higher end it tends to be hot.

I have just gotten a Galaxy A35 not even a week ago (Tomorrow will be one week) and I have to be honest with you, other than the cameras, I feel no need at all for an upgrade.
I get 120Hz, GREAT stereo speakers, all the processing power I need for my social media and messaging, I just wouldn't upgrade unless we are talking about the S24 Plus or Ultra. (Or if I liked small devices I would go for the regular S24) They do have nicer things that I would like, luxuries, but those are things I like, not things I need.
S20 FE >> S21 FE >> S23 FE

Hmmm, it was kinda expensive even for a long time after and it has battery, heating and gps problems for me, camera can produce great images and solid video but also both sometimes very terribly for example in low light or weird circumstances where it just looks way overprocessed

2400e is actually a monster chip too brother. it can activated ray tracing btw, with npu high enough to process all the AI features and gaming is handled pretty well too. i think we need to give them a chance to prove themselves. their exynos is getting better every year

@@hipetwa trust me brother, exynos 2400e is far more powerful than you think. dont get trapped at "snapdragon is the best", please measure all other details, you cant say snapdragon 8 gen 1 is better than exynos 2400e, or 8 gen 2, single core and multi core of exynos 2400e is monster. and try to remder something, S24 fe will have shorter time to render it all. just do your research first before you compared it to the older model
I just ordered this because it was free with a new line plus I’m currently on iPhone 11 so I feel like all the changes will be new for me and the price makes it worthwhile. I’m sure if you had a newer Samsung you’d feel the way I do about iPhones, they’ve peaked.

the processor of A55 is pretty bad. in case you dont game at all - it will be fine but otherwise do not look for A55.

here is the thing. A55 is overall a good phone for now however unlike the S24 i can't see people use it for more than 2-3 years. from the S series (or iphones) people can carry 4-6 years the phone which results in an actual cheaper price and better phone

2. 12 gb of ram not 8
3.1440 p display not 1080p
4. 1 tb option for regular s23.s24. s25.
5. Bring back the se model.
