Wonderful!!! I LOVE this! I just discovered The Dam Busters March a few days ago (as of May 21, 2021), and have been listening to/watching every rendition I can find on UA-cam, and yours is one of the best! The organ is beautiful, and your playing is spirited! On top of that, your kitty, Bobbie, is amazing! My jaw dropped, watching her daintily walk down the sides of the keyboard without knocking over any knickknacks or touching any keys! This is one of the best videos on the Internet!
A perfect piece for Remembrance Day! I was interested to learn that Eric Coates did not write this specifically for the Dam Busters movie. He had written it as an exercise for himself as a work in the Elgar Pomp & Circumstance style and was approached by the movie people not long after he had completed this yet-unnamed piece. He initially hesitated on the movie offer since he didn't like writing for films, but was prevailed upon and ultimately submitted this which became famously known as the Dam Busters March. I, too, love this work and have used the hymn version of the march in a few services I have played recently. And, who doesn't love Bobbie and her scene-stealing!
OMG I absolutely love this - especially around 1 minute in when it looks like Bobbie is about to turn the page! You clearly have an equal love for music and animals Richard and once more share your limitless talent with us. Thank you so much. Hope Caroline is well
*Absolutely thrilling!* Another tune I never knew existed before this year - but yours is now my *definitive* performance! It is truly inspirational how you use the Marcussen colour palette in such a delightfully English way. Oustanding!!! (Bobbie gets 10/10 too - acrobat extraordinaire!!)
Listening for a second time, I think you only recorded the surround channels of your computer output. The main L + R channel are not included in the mix.
Thrilling! Amazing how Bobbie tip-toes down the keyboards without touching a key! 😻
Fantastic performance. Loved Bobbie's shenanigans. She's so good at walking down the keyboard cheeks.
OMG...can't believe how Bobbie nimbly avoided the keyboard!!! Luv, luv

Wonderfully powerful.
Marvellous as ever, Richard!

Bravo!! I played the hymn version of this (God is our Strength and Refuge) at 'Private Prayer' this morning, and it was rather lacking in comparison!

Hard to say who's more nimble, Richard or Bobbie...
Amazing!! Ive always wanted to hear an organ version of this! Sounds great!!!
Look up Margaret Hall from Australia. She did a UA-cam on a Wurlitzer pipe organ. Another fine performance quite a contrast to this on.
@@wphubert thank you! although Richards version is much better on a church organ
Cats + vases = trouble (usually)

Have you been hanging around Fraser too long?
....that would only be a good thing 😘
Sorry, too much acoustic reverb. Very strenuous to listen to. Beautifully played nevertheless. Thanks for the effort.
