There's a video on youtube somewhere that talks about how Canada's got a lot of active 737-200's for the northern regions and the reason why: gravel runways don't like large jet engines but the 737-200 had gravel deflection add-ons for the small inlet. This makes them the largest plane that can service large swaths of Canada's arctic regions
