Rocky didn't do those moves on the dance practice because he likes to modify or add things to their dances. Also you can see how he does the moves on the live performance like nothing happened, however he got an appendix surgery like a few weeks before that performance. And I think maybe the way Rocky and moonbin execute the same movement a little bit differently could be all the years of training and different dance styles Rocky learned.

As you might know, Binnie was absent during the Blue Flame promotion, so Aroha never got to see the OT6 dance to Blue Flame together. Gateway (title track Knock), which was their EP after Blue Flame, was a much-awaited OT6 comeback (if you count out their intermediate single One and Only). Gateway-era was also the time when MJ started preparing for Jamie. Astro shot the OT6 version of the Blue Flame dance practice video at that time and pleasantly surprised Aroha with it (at such moments, the AstroxAroha connection feels so strong and mutual). Later, they performed Blue Flame all together in their online concert WWW. I cannot explain just how happy Aroha-city was to get an OT6 Blue Flame dance practice and performance. In music-show stages of Blue Flame, the dance looks different in many parts because they had to modify formations to accommodate Moonbin's absence. Rocky did his rap lines with a female dancer (it was sexy!). On the KCON stage, in addition to Binnie being back, the group performed without backup dancers, so Rocky did his rap part solo. He had to change the choreo for that. Also, Rocky being a choreographer himself loves to keep things fresh. It is not unusual to see him perform his solo sections slightly differently from their dance practice videos. His creativity has no limit. For this, their wonderful vocals, and many other reasons, Astro deserves more recognition but remains criminally underrated.

Actually there are only few live performances of Blue flame that they were complete. During the promotions of Blue Flame Era, Moonbin was on hiatus so most of the live videos were just ot5. Another Fact is, when they performed on 2021 KCON Aroha's were concerned about Rocky because he just got an emergency surgery to remove his appendix, but seeing the way he dances, it seems like he had not undergone surgery.
