Good videos. Would have been helpful to mention that these vector type problems would be solved using Trigonometry & Pythagorean theorem!

Thanks for mentioning it. I approach the topic visually first. Static equilibrium and balanced forces, visual approximation. Then I go with graphical addition and finally trig and the pythagorean theorem but only with the upper level students.
That way my students
1 - have a conceptual visual understanding
2 - can always go back to the protractor and ruler method when they've forgotten the math
3 - and all of them get it:
EVERY student I have can solve these problems. With trig and the pythagorean theorem many lower level students just gave up or couldn't do it. Basic Conceptual students can solve complicated problems with protractor and ruler.
