Update as of Project Lupara: Barricade rig falls in the same category as Heal and X-Ray for me. Pretty much leave it until last since it is currently not very useful at all in my opinion. Update as of Project Breach: Jammer rig is a step above Barricade/Heal/X-Ray personally. It's definitely a preference thing, and still doesn't beat Stun, but with the changes to locked up loot and the flexibility it offers i quite like it. If you're someone who likes a bit more of a strategic approach I would recommend going for it, potentially as 2nd Rig after Stun (if you want best first). That would be after T2 Prescriptions as well. Will add more info for the new Amps once I've tested them a bit but safe to say Bandage Expert should be one of the last things you unlock for A+ runs
This is a very nice guide for beginners, man. The only thing I’ll say is that many beginners probably won’t be getting A+ consistently when they don’t have much experience with the game, lol. In which case, I’d argue that having the Heal rig and Hide And Heal AMP could prove to be useful to them. I know this video is made with the intent to guide new players towards A+ grading, but let me take this opportunity to discuss some of the less utilized AMPs in the game. Some mediocre AMPs can be useful for speedrunners such as Quick Escape, which actually fully restores your stamina after getting hit, and Antitoxin which speedrunners may find useful since many of them often abuse stepping on psychosis mines to speed past enemies and complete objectives, and this AMP prevents them from taking too much damage on the higher difficulties. Last Chance is useful for staying alive in programs with heavy hitters, and especially when the Deadly Prime Asset variator is at play. If the goal is to get A+, no damage, then yes, it’s not worth taking. Otherwise, it can save an A+ run if you only take a couple of hits from enemies, whereas without it you’d be down and out. The two most useless AMPs in the game, IMHO, belong to Double Doses and Good Job. Just can’t see why anyone would ever pick them in any situation over the other, clearly better options. Last but not least, X-Ray is for hardcore players who want to challenge themselves by intentionally using the worst rig in the game. Whenever I see someone use X-Ray, I think to myself, man this guy is probably a pro gamer haha. Jokes aside, this rig is made for patient players who prioritize stealth over everything else. Due to the short cooldown, one can spam this rig many times in a trial and get rewarded for it.
Battery extension is a big improvement. Definitely up there with speed, endurance, athlete, and inventory. I very much regret not taking resistance before investing into stamina recovery. Ending up using my only throwable and had to run. Got pounced. No one nearby to help. Lost two bars of health, got up, started running from the expop that caught up…. A FEW SECONDS later and got pounced again and was downed. 4 bars in less than 30 seconds. You will end up in situations where you get pounced with no throwable and no help. Resistance is first tier 3 purchase. I see far more players use slippers than noise reduction. Not low levels either. High level players. Hide and heal is a for sure buy since that’s still early on when you will absolutely be getting damaged. X-ray has fast cooldown so it’s good for score. Also, I want all the documents. Saw no reason not to use it to get them asap.

I think x ray is really good even if your not new cause u can avoid them easily and it’s just a team player rig
This is best guide for new players mainly I started playing this game and I am having a blast thank you bro you got new sub
I just started outlast about a week about I'm lv 7 and I got a heal rig cause I'm always dying now I see I'm going to need a stun rig ty
Btw stun only gets your battery halfway keep up the good work though
