Love seeing the boats, only thing with the beds taking up the whole area you can ‘t access the bow to outside, much prefer a bed so when laying it it you look out the - don’t have a boat but we have a camper and I love being in bed and being about to look out the windows and watch the world/wildlife/sunrise. Narrow boats appeal to me but my other half is a land lover😆

I had a good giggle at Anthony breaking into the RV , he was the only one who’d fit. 😂🤣You obviously had a great time at Cricket and with camping friends and I’m sure Dexter was spoiled rotten . There’s been a heatwave all around us this week but we didn’t get it as bad, I guess because we’re just 2 houses from the Atlantic Ocean and get a pretty nice breeze most days. Granddaughter had exams this week and school ends next week so it’s been quiet. I’ve enjoyed being outside a lot , for some reason the blackflies aren’t bad this year, I don’t like them and react badly to their bites. The cats have discovered Junebugs, a rather big chubby beetle that shouldn’t be able to fly but does, is attracted to light so bumps against windows and doors. They’d love to get out at them but I do not want them in the house, they get stuck in your hair😳. Not much else new this week, just reading , crafting and a little gardening. I planted some flowers around the pet graves. 😢. Enjoy your week cruising🥰🙋🏼♀️
Hey Dawn. I can’t believe I actually managed to get into the RV 😂. We had an absolute blast at Crick. Dexter seemed very relaxed when we dropped him off at the grand parents. Hope your grand daughter goes well. We are supposed to be getting a heat wave next week, fingers crossed it isn’t baking on the boat. It is nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors. I react badly to mosquito bites. I don’t blame you for not wanting it here bugs in your house. Sometimes, not doing much is bliss. Have a great week and take care ♥️

Some beautiful boats but I still don't understand why they don't have blinds and fly screens. Like the sort you get in motorhomes and cruisers. I think it would be my first priority when building a new boat. Maybe I was spoiled having them in the motorhome but I couldn't do without them. Love the camaraderie of the boaters, it's great to see.
That brought back good memories of Crick, always agreat visit and social time. Thank you Anthony, we all know how to break into a motorhome now ( as long as you are small, like I am as well) lol All the different touches and ideas in all the new boats, some excellent ones. I still don't quite get how you make the bed when it's wall to wall filling that bedroom space. I would love to see the show in person, but maybe not when it's so muddy. Made me think what do you guys do for a Gp as you move around. What a great show - so many nice boats! Tell me, what is the 'best' option do you thing for toilets on a narrow boat? there seems to be a few options. Nice to see hybrid boats too.
It was a fab weekend. There were so many fab boats. If power and money was no object, then a Cinderella toilet would be the best option. A compost toilet, in my opinion, is the next best option. Hope you have a good weekend ♥️

Beside heights I can’t do small spaces, you’re my hero Anthony, couldn’t have done that. I love looking at boats albeit I have to do it via the net. I’d not go over 60’. Happy Friday evening! 🥰 Love seeing the boats and several I hadn't seen on other videos. Everyone is doing the full beds at the back but I couldn't face never having a properly made bed ever again. I also wouldn't give up that door/exit. 🥴 What did you think of the stool? I've thought of getting one because I dislike lugging an uncomfortable folding chair. Did you feel secure sitting on it? And did you have an added cushion? A cushion probably helps a lot. 🍺 The beer tent seemed to be a good place to be trapped in a torrential rain. 🍺 Have a great weekend. Hey Dorothy. Happy Saturday to you. We had a blast at Crick. I like the bow beds. It is a great solution to having a king size bed. There is still an escape route above. The stools are great. They hold up to 50 stone I think he said. You could get ones with cushions. Brilliant for my van too. Blimey, that is hot. Don’t blame you for not wanting to go out. Have a lovely weekend ♥️

We have a magnetic monopod for the GoPro but otherwise, the tripod just sits in the roof with the legs spread to make it stable . Hugs back from us all ♥️
Spent three weeks on the cut as a vacation. Thrilled we were able to go to the Crick Boat Show. Disappointed we didn’t see you. Maybe next year when we have our own boat. 🏴🌈😎
We interchange kitchen and galley, but on a narrowboat, I have never heard the other terms to refer to the bathroom and bedroom. Hope you have a good weekend ♥️
Head and Staterooms are probably more often used on ships rather than boats. On some narrowboats they might even have a bedroom just a fold down over the dinette . Same applies to the bathroom facilities on a narrowboat are often limitted some even only having a portapotti

A new set you would be restricted. On where you go. Boat I was looking at is 68 ft. Because I wanted 2 bedrooms. Do you know what the maximum length is do you have no restrictions? Lee
Hey Lee. Glad you enjoyed and good luck in your future plans. They reckon 57’ would be the ideal for a go anywhere boat. Even our 60’ boat has restrictions. It is always a compromise I guess. You can google a map of the waterways which shows canals by boat length to give you an idea of what restrictions you would have. Have a great weekend. See you on the cut hopefully. 😊

Love seeing the boats, only thing with the beds taking up the whole area you can ‘t access the bow to outside, much prefer a bed so when laying it it you look out the - don’t have a boat but we have a camper and I love being in bed and being about to look out the windows and watch the world/wildlife/sunrise. Narrow boats appeal to me but my other half is a land lover😆

I had a good giggle at Anthony breaking into the RV , he was the only one who’d fit. 😂🤣You obviously had a great time at Cricket and with camping friends and I’m sure Dexter was spoiled rotten .
There’s been a heatwave all around us this week but we didn’t get it as bad, I guess because we’re just 2 houses from the Atlantic Ocean and get a pretty nice breeze most days. Granddaughter had exams this week and school ends next week so it’s been quiet. I’ve enjoyed being outside a lot , for some reason the blackflies aren’t bad this year, I don’t like them and react badly to their bites.
The cats have discovered Junebugs, a rather big chubby beetle that shouldn’t be able to fly but does, is attracted to light so bumps against windows and doors. They’d love to get out at them but I do not want them in the house, they get stuck in your hair😳. Not much else new this week, just reading , crafting and a little gardening. I planted some flowers around the pet graves. 😢.

Some beautiful boats but I still don't understand why they don't have blinds and fly screens. Like the sort you get in motorhomes and cruisers. I think it would be my first priority when building a new boat. Maybe I was spoiled having them in the motorhome but I couldn't do without them. Love the camaraderie of the boaters, it's great to see.
We have often said the same Jay. Boat builders could take a lot from clever storage in motor homes. We love the boating community. ❤️

What a great show - so many nice boats! Tell me, what is the 'best' option do you thing for toilets on a narrow boat? there seems to be a few options. Nice to see hybrid boats too.
It was a fab weekend. There were so many fab boats. If power and money was no object, then a Cinderella toilet would be the best option. A compost toilet, in my opinion, is the next best option. Hope you have a good weekend ♥️

Happy Friday evening! 🥰 Love seeing the boats and several I hadn't seen on other videos. Everyone is doing the full beds at the back but I couldn't face never having a properly made bed ever again. I also wouldn't give up that door/exit. 🥴 What did you think of the stool? I've thought of getting one because I dislike lugging an uncomfortable folding chair. Did you feel secure sitting on it? And did you have an added cushion? A cushion probably helps a lot. 🍺 The beer tent seemed to be a good place to be trapped in a torrential rain. 🍺 Have a great weekend. The stools are great. They hold up to 50 stone I think he said. You could get ones with cushions. Brilliant for my van too.

We have a magnetic monopod for the GoPro but otherwise, the tripod just sits in the roof with the legs spread to make it stable . Hugs back from us all ♥️

On a boat it's not a kitchen, it's a galley. And a bathroom is referred to as a head. And a bedroom is a stateroom.
We interchange kitchen and galley, but on a narrowboat, I have never heard the other terms to refer to the bathroom and bedroom. Hope you have a good weekend ♥️
Head and Staterooms are probably more often used on ships rather than boats.
On some narrowboats they might even have a bedroom just a fold down over the dinette .
Same applies to the bathroom facilities on a narrowboat are often limitted some even only having a portapotti

Thanks Morten. I loved the Swan boat to be honest. They definitely did a good job this year. Favourite widebeam was actually the winner of their category. The glass roof skylight was brilliant. Have a lovely weekend ♥️

I noticed I'm your video went on a 68 ft boat. A new set you would be restricted. On where you go. Boat I was looking at is 68 ft. Because I wanted 2 bedrooms. Do you know what the maximum length is do you have no restrictions? Lee
Hey Lee. Glad you enjoyed and good luck in your future plans. They reckon 57’ would be the ideal for a go anywhere boat. Even our 60’ boat has restrictions.
It is always a compromise I guess. You can google a map of the waterways which shows canals by boat length to give you an idea of what restrictions you would have.

We usually film on a Cannon M50. We used the GoPro at Crick too as it has a wide angle for the boat tours.
