Yes. I actually covered it in the video. The g-sensor is located in the front camera so no adverse effect on impact detection from where you install the box unit. From my testing of the impact detection in parking mode, it's actually quite sensitive.
Not sure why you had those issues but both the dash cam and app worked relatively well. There were a few crashes as I mentioned in the video. Have been using it for over 3 months and it's been pretty good. Could there be an issue with the install, a defect in your unit? And do you have the latest firmware and app version?
Do you have any idea where the sensor (for parking mode) is located? Im curous if its located on the box or one of the cameras.

It’s all good until you close the door and it restarts. Do not forget about the app that has connection issues while on as well.
