A word of caution re: using bundled c4 as a missile warhead...when the missile impacts, the c4 is scattered over a much wider area than if it's just placed. The radius is in excess of 100 blocks, as I discovered earlier today, and lost a big chunk of my own fortress when I launched against a disused mob-spawner in the distance.

The bomb defuser doesn't work when the tnt has redstone beside it because it would light it again. If you use flint and steel then use the defuseer it would stop.
