Neil, I've seen your movie Fateful Findings on a very difficult time of my life. I know it was a b-movie, self funded, but that doesn't mean there is no message or no art. The challenge you must have had to create it just made it even better. I had the strength to get back at my feet and your movie was one of the things that helped me understand myself. I loved the message of that movie, it was dark but it wasn't evil, the art resonates to me like a riddle. Thank you very much and good luck I hope you keep doing what you love to do.

speaking as someone who’s been to a live showing, from what i can tell he’s aware of the reason people *are aware* of his movies, but he still makes them exactly the way he wants to and believes they’re good. i remember, at the showing (pass-thru) he made a statement that “while you are allowed to laugh at the movie, please don’t yell or make rude comments”.
Love that: Low budget = tons of shots in the desert. Medium budget = more green screen. Man's a legend. Can't deny he's built a successful brand for himself. Also, not gonna lie. A little surprised he put the applause clips at the end of the video and not at the beginning. More humble than you would have thought.
People that criticise you for the indie quality of your movies don't understand how much money goes into one blockbuster, they may look better than your movies but they feel shallow, you give us unique and fresh creations, i hope you continue to make movies that challenge the audience, even if sometimes a big percentage of the public misses your symbolism do not be afraid to be creative and experimental it's your biggest strength

Neil is proof that story is unquantifiable, that story is human, story is inside each and every one of us, and not something that you throw millions of dollars at and hire emotionally detached compartmentalized paychecks to sell a formulaic product for the masses.
