lol college life. I want to do this build but was leaning towards a DSG to save money on not having to do the transmission clutch upgrades. Do you recommend it?
DSG is great for having a quicker car, you’d still need to do a DSG tune which is around $700 and DSG service every 40k miles which isn’t the case with the manual. Also imo manual is more fun but that’s just a personal preference, I would test drive both and see what works best for you!
@@BrendonWagner I've owned a manual TDI wagon before and liked it. Just never driven one of the upgraded clutch ones and have heard about the SMF chatter.
@@5Minuteman I had some chatter on mine (southbend stage 2 daily, I think it's SMF but idk for sure), but after a few hundred miles of driving, the chatter went away and IMO greatly improved the feel of the clutch over stock.
