Ok this review has been a bit of a bugger to get up! With rambling thoughts (I cut this down from over 2 hours of footage 😅), audio issues, and rushed makeup looks, I would have liked for this to have been shorter and more polished, but I sadly don’t have the time to refilm things. My final thoughts on the palette still stand, and I’ll try to share more looks on Tiktok over the next few weeks! If there are any mess ups with this edit... please forgive them, I have exported and uploaded this 4 times and I just can't anymore 😆
I actually love that they reduced the pan sizes, because who can finish a full size product like an eyeshadow palette anyways? Especially if you want to finish it/get good use of it before you're bored of it. I wish all products came in a full size and a travel size/sample, because of expiration dates etc (foundation, concealer, mascara, especially), and also it's annoying to take full size products out of the house with you to the gym, work, etc vs. a travel size.
You pair colors so differently from me, it's so inspiring! This palette looks so pretty, love the outer packaging and theme, but I agree with your comments. I wish the neutral mattes weren't so similar to each other, I wish one (or both) of the the two creams and one of the two cool browns could have been replaced with a warm light brown and a warm mid-toned terracotta.
Ah I love your multiple looks with one palette videos…I know they’re a lot of work, so thank you! Funny, because I thought look 2 looked amazing on you. This is a really fun and unique color story but I think my skin tone is too warm/Olive for it and I’m afraid it will clash. I’ll definitely use your code for future purchases though! 😊
This palette doesn’t give me sugar and spice vibe at all. I haven’t love any of the looks that I’ve seen done with it so far bc tone of the mattes that were chosen are not great imo. Great analysis per usual.
You give the best reviews. It's pretty but for a deeper skin tone this palette is a miss for me. I did think I'd swap shades with previous palettes,except now I can't because of the pan size change. I see the sugar,but no spice. I would maybe get this to use as singles. I always want cooler toned palettes but I cant pull this one off by itself. But that doesn't stop me,just have to mix and match.
I am excited for this one. I think it will pair well with Nearly Natural. I’m glad it’s cooler because Nearly Natural is warmer. I like cool tones. I really, really like the outer packaging. I don’t mind the smaller pans at all. I’d rather have had a little less and kept the price the same like they chose. I like a more compact palette anyway for storage. I hope they keep with the smaller pan size from now on just so we can mix and match custom palettes among all of their palettes. I do like to do that especially when I’m traveling. I like the second look on you! It’s very mermaid! I think it suits you! It’s really amazing that you can make mermaid/fairy looks like 2 and 5 and a dramatic look like 4 from the same palette. I love the way you added to look with Vanilla and changed it completely. Such a versatile palette!

Wow, thank you for this video! This might just be my ideal color story. I love pastels and I love contrast as well, along with the cool tones! Even though I'm not into purple, I love the lavendery shades, so this is just ideal for my preferences. I love that there are no matte pinks nor oranges.
It seems like there are some truly beautiful, standout shades among the more standard neutrals and pastels. I could see it being too starkly cool-toned for your coloring, but it is tempting for me as someone with very fair, cool skin and deep hair/eyes… Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
While generally I like cool tones more than warm tones overall, I actually like the color story of the NearlyNatural palette more than the Sugar&Spice one.. which surprises me! I don't yet have the Natural palette, but it's on my list! I live in the States, so I want to wait on ordering until there's a few different items I want to order to make it worth the wait, instead of waiting a bunch of weeks for one thing each and every time. I love the ‘flecked’ gold over deep cool brown. It’s lovely. I cannot wear light shades at all on my lids unless I have the very strong deep colour underneath as in your smokey eye look. I look absolutely sick and unwell regardless of the shade. I’ve never been able to wear light matts or shimmers metallics even when young and even though I am very fair. I am curious as to why maybe it’s about the lack of definition or shape of my eyes I cannot work it out - a conundrum. I look better with no eye makeup than pale eye makeup and that’s saying something. This palette looks gorgeous but I would only wear it with dark base so it’s a maybe! Thanks I liked seeing these looks.
I’m the same as you! Any wash of shimmer needs to be a mid toned shade, if it starts to look lighter or as light as my skin tone, I look sick! You’re not alone!

Great video, I appreciate the effort that went into it! I may be in the minority, but I adore the mattes in this. I think the soft, pale shades show off the shimmers instead of overwhelming them. The yellow, purple and mint green are perfect for coordinating colour. I will be using these mattes with other duochrome and multichrome shades in my collection.

I wish there was a warmer mid tone matte instead of one of the white or cream ones, and maybe something else that I can't put my finger on. As I said I DO like it, but it's just a bit too expensive to me if I don't like everything.

Also, did you know some CW’s carry Tom Ford. Imagine my shock. Went into Sydney, found a big, shiny new CW on Pitt Street. Tom Ford. Jo Malone. Byredo. Diptyque. Meant to go to Myer but never made it that far. Spent an hour browsing CW.
I have seen YSL in CW before, but from what I understand they sometimes stock products that are being discontinued/excess stock and they don't stock those products consistently.

I love the review but I also don’t see sugar and spice. I loved the looks though. I do agree that the fifth look is the best and also the sixth and seventh, so the fact that most of the palette is darker to me is not worth buying. I want a palette I can pan. I have panned half of the Retro Natasha Denona and I have the darker colors to completely finish (I have panned them) and it’s difficult to wear darker shades everyday.
Looks like a lot of people were disappointed that this wasn't more rich like the spice part of the name implies, but I'm also a little disappointed in the opposite direction haha. I heard Glaminatrix mention months ago they'd have a pastel palette and I was so excited for a bright and sparkly fully pastel palette, this mix of browns and pastels just doesn't hit right for me
I know it’s not related to the palette but as a person who does powder shadow wings a lot, which liner brushes do you recommend? Many are fatter than would be ideal so it can be hard to get a crisp line…
I honestly just reach for whatever I have around. I usually used an angled liner brush. This type of shape is good! I look for something thats not too thick and not too hard, but also not too flimsy.
