But city interstate property across the street is cut every 3 weeks. Wait, there's more. My neighbor 5 houses down from me is the guys who controls the lawn maintenance department. He has to pass that corner lot every day to enter or leave the block. I am 6'4 wearing my work boots. The grass now on its 2nd growth this year is well over 8 feet tall. I use to cut it when I was in my 20s and 30s. Turning 60. Yeah, body too old for that stress.

Good idea. Some one call the local news about this. You pay taxes that are supposed to help maintain these things and someone's doing it for free. Great.
Same here in the states. I call the city to fix potholes, roads, clean the sidewalks, sweep the streets, pick up abandoned cars, etc. I have been successful in getting them to do it, but it's like pulling teeth. I'm very persistent & continue to work to make our neighborhoods better. Thanks for the great work you always do. I also meditate about this, making my wishes known to The Great Universe etc (God, whoever you believe in) and I have noticed other people cleaning up their yards. It's a vibration and it works.
Some people have no shame... or no idea, or no sense of the larger community they live in and making a contribution back by maintaining their common areas... it's worse with vacant blocks, owners are not there to care... (if they do at all anyway...) Until the property is built upon, and occupied, councils should be able to charge a quarterly levy that goes directly to this kind of thing (and if it is council land, it should be managed properly... keeping footpaths from being a hazard (tripping, fire, vermin etc), forcing kids to ride bikes on the road, or dog walkers onto the road, or collecting the rubbish that blows around in the long grass or that is dumped there by others, being sources of weeds that can spread and blocking drains and gutters because of the lack of maintenance and making sure that services and utility pits can be easily found and accessed... Good work Tim!

I live in Houston, TX where heavy rains and flash floods are common. These retention ponds divert a lot of water that would otherwise flood the streets or even homes. We have wildlife reserves for “critter” habitat.
We have the exact same problems in the US. My city decided to use taxes to build sidewalks everywhere, even though this is TEXAS and no one walks cause either it too hot or everything is too far. But now they are built and completely overgrown with weeds. Gotta love government spending.
Not everyone has a car, someone to drive them places, or a reliable bus system. I'm sure the people who do walk appreciate it, if only they were maintained. Plus walking should be encouraged, it's a healthy habit to have.
People shouldn't be walking in the street, so they build sidewalks. But if residents don't care, the city may not have enough money to do it. Gotta love whiners about Gov't spending.
@@markh.6687 love dummies who don’t even understand comment. It’s not that they built them it’s that they are not kept up and no one can use them. Nice try on pretending to care. Typical comment troll.
Oh they have plenty of pride when it comes to the snobby suburbs. Not a blade of grass out of place in them. Crews walking the streets with trimmers, blowers and street sweepers constantly. I don't get out west much and am new to this whole free lawn mowing thing so wasn't actually aware the councils out there are lazy as heck. Good on you Tim. You should send them and the local news photos of every free council-maintained land you remedy until they have enough to make a montage of shame.
Depends on the suburb. The more money in a suburb, the more likely the council will keep it looking tip top. This is dreadful but happens more often than not.
Great job, Tim! If only the owners of that land could be held accountable. I would think that every neighbor should contact the local authority every day until some thing was done about it. Think of all the critters that area attracts too!
It's probably the responsibility of the developer. But once they've sold the blocks in the subdivision, they don't care, as they've already got their money and probably shut down the shell company they used.
How about instead of always relying on the local authority to police things, that people just all gather and clean it up themselves? You know, Like Tim does.
I'm a old lady sick in bed i just enjoy seeing you doing this beautiful work. My husband used to do it but he's sick and old like me and feels tired. We both enjoy seeing you and take care of yourself 🙏💜.
Someone needs to blast the council and tell them to do thier job properly. As mentioned in the comments, they don't hesitate to fine us for petty violations. Another footpath can now be used by the public, great job Tim, watching from Victoria (Australia).❤
How about the neighbors banning together and cleaning it up themselves? Stop relying on the council/government/government entity to fix things. Yeah, maybe it is someone else's responsibility to maintain that area, but why not just do it yourselves and feel good about helping?
Shame on the council. They should all be investigated for corruption. You are doing a great service to your community. Expose the council's corruption! Good work man👍
Hi Tim I live in a new estate and it is up to the developer of land. Unfortunately they did not care nor take any effort in maintaining the land. All the neighbours get together on one day as a community and maintain the area our self. This is so kind of you, it really makes a difference to the people.
So much better, Tim. On behalf of the people trying to walk through that mess...thank you so very much. And, yes, as a woman trying to navigate this world in a powerchair, this is a much appreciated game-changer.

I used to live around the corner from this water retention pond. Forced onto the streets when going for a walk. Snakes, mice came out of the grass. People just dump excess concrete, building rubble old lounges etc. Spoke to Blacktown Council they replied via letter stating they don’t have the budget to maintain these areas or the footpath surrounding them. They also said its up to the adjoining property owners to maintain these areas. Great job Tim for assisting the community. This is 1 of about 18/20 around that area.
If someone were injured due to council's neglect they would be liable , then they would HAVE to find awarded damages in their budget . If this were outside a house I'd say homeowner should do the maintenance as is the norm , however this looks 100% council responsibility to me .
Tim, You should send an invoice to the council for your time and the excellent clean up up this walkway!! See what happens! After all, they'd go after any homeowner that would leave their walkways in such a mess! Thank you Tim. Excellent results.
That was some workout for the strimmer (and you!). Shows how far battery powered tools have come on in the past few years. You would have thought that the fire hydrant at least would have been kept clear by the council or fire department.
Our local fire brigades used to drive around once a year to clear and repaint the signage. One neighbour painted his green because the bright white square ruined the look of his grass.. some people.
My goodness, Tim! That looks so much better and safer! If whoever isn’t maintaining the walks and nature strip, then who will maintain the trees that haven’t yet perished?
Hi Tim❣ Looks like they maintain that area like our area gets maintained. Let's not weed eat or mow, instead we'll just edge and call it done. Sad they leave it for others to do. Over had to invest in my own cheaper items to maintain my own area. Now all I need is a bush trimmer. Our bushes are supposed to be 4ft tall, they're almost to the top of my 8 foot iron post and my hummingbirds, Orioles and catbird are constantly shaking their heads hunting for their food lol Serious! They should take jail inmates and take 4 of them to areas to keep up places like what you're doing. I know when I lived in Mississippi, inmates put a lot of landscaping businesses to shame. Free labor, and they always want to get out, so use them I say. Have a great week as you're already there or near there❤❤
Great job Tim, hopefully someone from the developer/ local council see this and give you some funds to go to your favourite charity. Or a maintenance contract 🙏🏻👍😁

If I lived in that area I think I'd try reporting those overgrown footpaths as a safety hazard rather than an eyesore , and ask council for a report reference number . They don't like the idea of getting sued , once a report is issued they are more likely to act .
You do find important things to work on. That looked like a narrow footpath through dirt. The end result was quite different. Thanks for making the sidewalk viable to walk. This is so bad, a hazard for collecting rodents and garbage, and time consuming to clean in this poor condition, that it would perhaps work to break the work down in to smaller sections for available time. The outer grass could be mowed next and finally the inside slope next to the fence Trimmed. I recognize that the owner is "making no money" on land not yet being built on, but the least contribution, as far as responsibility to the community, might be for gas, trimmer line, green hauling and a meal. Perhaps, being in construction, they would know solutions and have something like an available dumpster/bin. Nice work Tim.
I remember hearing or reading somewhere that you can bill the council for that sort of thing.. maybe you should make a video going back, completing it and giving the council a ring and collecting some money, might give others some incentive to not wait for council as they're useless. Nobody likes working for nothing, but it this is an option, might help with places like this 👌

The mother of an amputee, from the States. Thank you for giving all, ALL people a safe place to stroll. Seniors, children, physically assisted everyone. If the fence would come down and benches up, that would become a nice little park
Thank goodness for someone like you Tim❤ fantastic job clearing all those paths, could you imagine a person with a pushchair trying to get through that lot, or a elderly person it doesn't bare thinking about, or they decide to use that busy road instead 😮 Council 😡
This occurs here in Texas as well. They place these beautiful walk paths and then no one steps up to do their part. You’re the Man. Thank you for all you do!,
I gotta admit. On this father's day, sitting back enjoying a pop. Watching your hard work (and that was amazing hard work) it was relaxing. Broham, you're a man of character. I respect that! 👍👍👍
The councils should be responsible for maintaining footpaths and nature strips. Vacant land is either awaiting development or is waiting for owners to build. You’re in NSW Tim, I’m in Victoria, if a vacant block/strip looked like this the council would contact you to clear; if you don’t they do it and you get charged the cost. Thank you Tim for caring about footpath, it’s best to use whether elderly or young, no one should have to use the road. Blessings
Well done Sir, fantastic transformation. Nice to see that the man who alerted you to this came up and said thankyou. Sometimes just that make the effort worthwhile. There's a new park where my mum lives in Banbury, UK. When the housing developer had finished a new housing estate, they started building the park but they wouldn't officially allow access to anyone as they kept that Harris fencing all around the site until it was officially signed off, despite the grass was immaculate. (especially one piece whichwould have been football stadium standard) Everyone was using it getting through the gaps. Now its been finished, although most of the grass isn't up to knee height yet, just the large increase in weeds gives it an unkempt feel. The really smart part of the grass now has "baby heads" clumps on it so its now not the easiest for kids to play footy on. The council may take it on but they're no doubt too busy looking after the boroughs dignitaries gardens!!!
Funny that you should raise this Tim. My local council here in London has given up mowing the nature strip outside our homes for cost cutting reasons. I have taken to doing the bit in front of my house and the four adjoining houses on myself, as has another neighbour for the next three houses along. Outside the other houses no one cuts the grass and it now looks like a wheat field! Very ugly and a fire risk in drought conditions. Can also encourage vermin and eventually overgrow the pavement. Good job mate. I guess Im doing the same thing on the other side of the planet!
Whilst I admire your positivity in thinking the people responsible might feel shame, if they had any conscience at all, it would never have gotten into this state in the first place. Thank goodness for community spirited people like you.
That path was insane. I bet everyone will be celebrating as they most likely had to walk on the road but now they can be safe walking on the footpath. Fantastic job Tim.❤️
Beautiful job! The shame of it is the city will think the ones responsible to tend to it did it and they will think the city did it and the true wonderful great Samaritan, you, wont get the incredibly deserved credit!!! God bless you! Your family should be VERY proud of you!!!
What a fantastic service you are providing Tim. I’m sure there are people that are able to use that very footpath that probably didn’t or weren’t able to.
I appreciate the way you remove the clippings and loose dirt rather than just throwing it back on to the nature strip. Looks much better, wont kill the grass beneath it and create an uneven surface. Amazing job!
I agree. I have a retention basin at the back of my property. I have been maintaining it for 10 years never seen a council worker any where near it. Keeps me fit I suppose.
In the USA, maintenance on these storm water retention ponds would typically be the responsibility of city public works or HOA if one had been established. Since this is a new neighborhood, it should be easy for homeowners to check paperwork and start raising hell assuming they are paying taxes to have these areas maintained. PS - area looks sharp after you cleared it!
Tim, you made that look so good that now the tall grass on the sides will never get cut. I would take your video to the city or whoever is responsible, show them the video and give them a bill for your work. If they would pay you, which I doubt, you could always donate the money to charity.
Some of these people in this area should have given you a sign of the cross and a bouquet of roses for this job. Personally I'd be in a chair with two cold drinks wondering how you were going to accomplish what you just did. Good work. I'm a fan.

Great job again Tm. For the people responsible for the maintenance of the path SHAME SHAME SHAME..
Love your heart ,Tim ❤ God bless you !--i already know it's going to look amazing ! Still watching.
The mother of an amputee, from the States. Thank you for giving all, ALL people a safe place to stroll. Seniors, children, physically assisted everyone. If the fence would come down and benches up, that would become a nice little park
Thank goodness for someone like you Tim❤ fantastic job clearing all those paths, could you imagine a person with a pushchair trying to get through that lot, or a elderly person it doesn't bare thinking about, or they decide to use that busy road instead 😮
Council 😡
God bless you Tim , you are a great guy .Thank you so much.
❤ You'll have to let us know if the shaming tactic works. 😂 Beautiful work!
You are a blessing for your community Sir.❤️
All the dust your kicking up is making me sneeze 😂 GREAT WORK AND YOU ARE APPRECIATED.
Geez that was a long sidewalk! Amazing job though!❤
You'd think the development would realize how bad it makes their development look. Thanks for the video.
Good JOB Tim Bless you
Wow! You couldn’t even tell there was a sidewalk under there initially. You did an amazing job! ❤
This occurs here in Texas as well. They place these beautiful walk paths and then no one steps up to do their part. You’re the Man. Thank you for all you do!,
Great job Tim ❤❤
I gotta admit. On this father's day, sitting back enjoying a pop. Watching your hard work (and that was amazing hard work) it was relaxing. Broham, you're a man of character. I respect that! 👍👍👍
Thanks!
@@timthelawnmowerman No, broham. Thank you for what you do. You got this USMC respect! Cheers!!!👍👍👍
Awesome job Tim 👏👏👏
A job well done Tim 😊
That looks like it could be in South Africa. Thats great job you've done 😮
What the overgrown mess?
The councils should be responsible for maintaining footpaths and nature strips. Vacant land is either awaiting development or is waiting for owners to build. You’re in NSW Tim, I’m in Victoria, if a vacant block/strip looked like this the council would contact you to clear; if you don’t they do it and you get charged the cost. Thank you Tim for caring about footpath, it’s best to use whether elderly or young, no one should have to use the road. Blessings
Great job !
Fantastic job!!!
Can you report this type thing as a city violation to the city counsel? Maybe that might shame them also. Great job, and I LOVE your videos.
Awesome work Tim! 💥
Job well done 👏
Bloody amazing mate. From England. 👌👍👏🥳🤩
Thanks for stepping up for the local community. You are completely correct
If only for the somewhat newly poured sidewalk that isn't all cracked up with overgrowth. Good job Tim. 👍
Its really nice when you are done, a little bit of green space!
Beautiful job! The shame of it is the city will think the ones responsible to tend to it did it and they will think the city did it and the true wonderful great Samaritan, you, wont get the incredibly deserved credit!!! God bless you! Your family should be VERY proud of you!!!
Great job, Tim. The sidewalks are lucky to have you.
What a great transformation! You made it so much safer. The footpath is triple the size. Excellent!!!!
Tim, you are a ⭐ If there isn't already a World Detailing Olympics, you need to start one
Looks nice 👍🏻👏🏻
You definitely went the distance on this job 😉
You’re a good man.
There is something about watching these videos. It is just satisfying 🎊🎉
Good on ya Tim.
Love it!
Tim, you made that look so good that now the tall grass on the sides will never get cut. I would take your video to the city or whoever is responsible, show them the video and give them a bill for your work. If they would pay you, which I doubt, you could always donate the money to charity.
Wow! The city should be giving you a contract to clean all the sidewalks! Amazing job❤
Wow!
That looks like that has been there a long time.
Incredible👏👏👏👏☘️☘️
Some of these people in this area should have given you a sign of the cross and a bouquet of roses for this job. Personally I'd be in a chair with two cold drinks wondering how you were going to accomplish what you just did. Good work. I'm a fan.
