Ty speaks much truth in this segment. The people we see on TV are the ones working them selves to death to be there. You can only walk a razors edge for so long. I wish they had more success, but man their music is so timeless and such an influence in my playing.
TY IS A SUPER UNDER RATED GUITARIST. ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE STYLES OUT THERE. I GOT TO MEET TY BACK IN THE 90'S MY BEST FRIEND WAS A PEDAL BUILDER {RIP LUKE} HE WANTED TY TO CHECK OUT HIS CREATION ULTRA VIBE {SWEET SOUND} TY IS A SUPER HUMBLE SOFT SPOKEN GENTLEMAN JUST LIKE YOU SEE IN HIS INTERVIEWS NO ROCKSTAR ATTITUDE AT ALL.
I think the band name, as well as the fact that they were once considered to be a 'christian band' is what hurt them. It sucks...because they are amazing. Ty Tabor should be on the freaking G3 tour with Via and Satriani every time they go out. He is THAT good.
If Atlantic had any brains about them whatsoever they would allow King's X music to be the background to these videos. Ty's music is incredible but it can never convey the message behind these interviews. Want to sell some songs Atlantic? Solidify his words with their music. It's a damn shame all around if you don't.
I have been a big fan of King's X since I discovered them in the early 90's. They are amazing. But I have always wondered if it was the name of the band that hurt them, as far as commercial success. I just don't see it was a good name. It is sad when you consider the fact that the name of a band has an impact on their commercial success/album sales. It should be the music that does the talking. The fact that they were also considered to be a 'christian band' at one point in their career reallly hurt them as well. I wish that whole thing had never happened.
Dogman has the most balls sound of any of their albums and is closer to the way they actually sound when they play live. It's just thunderous!

I know. None of us can understand why KX hasn't just blown up big time years and years and years ago. It's a head shaker for sure.

Wha5s the song at 6:36
"My Own Superstition" by Ty Tabor from the album Balance. Molken Music (mentioned in the credits at the beginning) is the record label.
"And the world changed" at 1:26 of this video, and I agree, music went to crap.
