Sol De Janeiro Mists aren't crazy expensive... why dupe something somewhat affordable? Dupe the expensive stuff or just be original! Their original scents are great. I bought all the 3oz SDJ mists at Ulta for like $15 each some time ago. I prefer my mists to be 3 oz so I can travel with them and because I have so many mists and perfumes it takes forever to use them.

I feel like SDJ lasts longer than B&BW. The Bum Bum cream is a firming cream. Philosophy also offers a firming body lotion. Why doesn't B&BW offer a firming body lotion?
I adore the Northern Lights, I spent the first 5 years of my life in Labrador City, Labrador and Newfoundland, and seeing the Aroura Borealis is one of my earliest and most beloved memories.

I smelled them all today. IMO, not even close or similar to 62. The VS Pink Pistachio Gelato is a closer dupe. Surprisingly, I'm with Lenny on the yellow one. It also seems to be the longest lasting one. I might grab the yellow set when the lotion comes out.

I have very mixed feelings on B&BW moving towards dupes. I really like the Everyday Luxuries collection...but those feel a bit more like "inspired by" than exact dupes. I've been able to compare some to samples of the high end perfumes and they seemed to give a similar vibe but some notes were slightly different or missing in the B&BW version.
I feel a bit weird about them immediately creating what people are calling exact dupes of Sol De Janerio because those aren't outrageously priced the way high end perfumes are. The B&BW ones are obviously more affordable, but I feel like they might be wanting to try to reinvent themselves in a more original way. I'm bored of their typical fruity florals and feel like they could experiment a bit more with original scents.

Tree Hut Tropic Glow is a super close dupe as well. I prefer the #68, so I’m waiting for that one.
I can’t wait to get these!! So happy with the last set of ten dupes, except two of them lol. I just placed a BOPIS for the B3G3 sale which isn’t great overall but I had tht $10 off $30 tht expires 2moro. So I got 6 wallflowers, the orange woven bag, and a single pocket bac for $21.73 !! So was a great deal this go round.

This also smells exactly like SJD to me, and the pistachio one is my absolute favorite. The solar one smells EXACTLY like In The Sun they had a few years back
Got the vacation vibes and the dragon fruit was the last spray of the dragon fruit and second last of the vacation vibes on the little kiosk they had in front of the store 😊
Scent is about what works for you! Ive had inexpensive cologne and perfume last longer than the very expensive items. Some B and B Works items have more stamina than others in terms of scent. Some like dupes, others not! No right, wrong or judgemental attitude. Everyone calm down and enjoy what you like!

I have no problem with Bath Body Works doing dupes because it allows you to get it a fraction of the price! I ordered some this weekend and can’t wait to get it!

Hi bonnie I just came back from bbw store, I was so excited to pick these 3 new mists today, but I ended up liking only the vacation vibe. The pink paradise I already have in another dupe form plus the last yellow solar one is something I absolutely hated. I couldn't stand it. The body glow oil smelled terrible in yellow too. I only liked the vacation vibe so I bought it. My store only had mists and glow body olis. No other body care so far. But one thing I noticed that the scent disappeared after 10 minutes. I am so heart broken at the moment regarding the lasting power of this fragrance. Please share your experience on the lasting power of this mist.

The only 62 dupe I’ve found is from fine’ry. Not Tree Hut, not Trader Joe’s (completely different scent), not PINK (dupe of the Tree Hut one). I’ll check out the BBW, hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Hi Bonnie, Great pictures! You live in the best part of the country as far as all of the celestial events! I did stop in BBW today to try the dupes, filled my basket 3/3 and decided against the purchase. They didn’t have the full line because they were testing it and I wasn’t overwhelmed by the scents, so I’ll gladly buy them on sale. SAS and MAD is coming up so I’ll stick to my budget for now.🩷
I so wish they duped '71. The Sol version literally lasts 2 min on my skin. I am curious about this line though
Tru Fragrance Praline & Pistachio. It was being sold at T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s but I couldn’t find it so I got it from Mercari. Great ‘71 dupe and has good lasting power, on my skin at least.

Sunset Glow was also close to SDJ #62, but with a more interesting twist with the cherry note. And it was a powerhouse. It was better and still had some originality vs doing an exact copy of an existing scent but much weaker.

Blind bought a mini of Vacation Vibe with a free coupon. On me, it's amber amber and more amber. I'm glad I got it for free. I was hoping it would be a little more gourmand, not even close.

The problem with BBW duping these SDJ scents is that the original versions are not that expensive and much more long lasting.

I got to try some of the vacation line but was not impressed with the scents. The scents were light and did not sell me on them. They had the ice cream candle holder and I could see it, but they would not sell it to me. Also, they would not hold it either. They told me they would get fired if they sold it to me. UGHHH. Hate my store!! Just makes me not want to buy their accessories. Excited for SAS. Thanks for giving us the updates! happy Mother's Day Bonnie!

Finally got to smell Vacation Vibes in store today. I was super disappointed. It's nowhere near as good as 62 to me. VV is missing the almond note that 62 has and VV has a super heavy amber note that 62 (thank goodness) does not have. It's probably because I really dislike amber and so am sensitive to it, but VV was a total no buy for me.

I adore you Bonnie, but can you try not to use the word girlfriend platonically? It’s not a big deal! Just friendly reminder to try to say “friend” instead, yknow? 🙂 Some queer women don’t have a problem with straight people using it but I myself and lots of other queer women feel like it cheapens when we use the term in what is certainly not a platonic way. Then, if I reference a girlfriend people who don’t know me would assume I’m talking about a friend and not someone I’m dating like they would assume if I had said “boyfriend”.
Also side note, has anyone noticed that pink paradise is a dupe of Baccarat Rouge 540?? I thought that the fragrance world would be buzzing about that 😆
