बांग्लादेश प्रीमियर लीग (BPL) के मौजूदा सीजन में इस समय बवाल मचा हुआ है. बांग्लादेश प्रीमियर लीग में शामिल दरबार राजशाही की टीम अपने खिलाड़ियों को बकाया सैलरी देने में असमर्थ रही. इसके चलते खिलाड़ियों ने कुछ दिन पहले विरोध-प्रदर्शन किया था. तब फ्रेंचाइजी ने आश्वासन दिया था कि मुद्दे को सुलझा लिया जाएगा, लेकिन खिलाड़ियों को अब तक बकाया पेमेंट नहीं मिला है. इस खबर की पुष्टि दरबार राजशाही के ऑनर शफीक रहमान के हालिया बयान के बाद हुई है. शफीक ने बताया था कि विदेशी खिलाड़ियों के स्वदेश लौटने के लिए टिकटों का इंतजाम कर लिया गया है.
देखा जाए तो सैलरी का मुद्दा अब एक नए स्तर पर पहुंच गया है. क्रिकबज की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक दरबार राजशाही टीम के बस ड्राइवर ने बकाया भुगतान नहीं होने के कारण खिलाड़ियों के किट बैग अपने पास रख लिये. ऐसे में स्थानीय के साथ-साथ विदेशी खिलाड़ियों का सामान भी फंस गया. बस ड्राइवर ने कहा कि जब तक उसे रुपये नहीं मिलते हैं, तब तक वो किट बैग वापस नहीं करेगा.
