- This is Possible One of The BEST WAYS to farm HIGH END Divination Cards such as Apothecary, Seven Years Bad Luck and Enlighten Cards!
Note this strategy takes advantage of maximizing the amount of quantity we see on a map with strongboxes.
NOTE THIS WILL NOT BE THE BEST DIVINE PER HOUR STRATEGY BUT WILL BE THE SWINGIEST STRATEGY WITH THE HIGHEST UPSIDE SO WHEN YOU HIT YOU HIT REALLY BIG!

the carto boxes can also drop T17 maps, with certain mods it can also dupe them often. Id take the 3 points for the extra chance of them showing up. Great strat tho, i used it since the start of league and easily made enough currency for 3 builds so far.
edit: also running it on jungle valley is super consistent currency with altars + the fortunate constantly dropping if you dont want the gamble for MB cards
the 3rd +5 boxes and the 15% reopen scarabs are roughly the same, +5 boxes pulls ahead by about 1 box per map on average, while also being more consistent. Though the bigger chance to have an extra box in an extra box in an extra box (etc) is generally more fun.
Never thought I would see the day that saying I have no gear with a headhunter equipped was actually kinda true.
I used all my luck today for this leage 😮😂 run some vaal temple maps with ember of wealth and got 'strongest monster in pack get: jewels droped turn into divines' as mod.. 49 strongboxes later I went home with ~210 div.

I use this for my t17 maps but without the 2% map modifier nodes. Niko and shrines my build barely can kill the bosses so its great when you are not blasting trough the map

ive done strongboxes in crimson temple for a week. I got 1 apothecary in about 300 maps lol
So with the reddit version they're talking about using two basic strongbox scarabs and two basic div scarabs. So 300% div cards and 10 extra boxes. I might of missed it, but I'm pretty sure this is something that's new to this season. I don't remember being able to use duplicate scarabs like that.
the entire scarab system was reworked.
The scarab system got reworked as of this league and the scarabs written on them tell you the limit or amount you can use
You can drop apothecary cards off yhe strongboxes even if you don't run crimson prison right?
To my knowledge - The div card box can drop anything yes

Even with 90% and 2k life regen, that shit hurts BAD
@Travic one word of advice I'd throw in is to not open any boxes until you've killed everything in the map. The eldritch shrines can give you a bunch of bonus quant and qual that you can then carry over into the boxes.
Boxes dont have any quant scaling from altars or gear
@@roebie7621 the boxes dont, but I'm pretty sure the mobs that they spawn are affected by the altars.
this slows you down a lot, generally better to run more maps
@@pathofcurrency True, this probably doubles your time spent in a map due to all the back tracking.
You are likely much better off just blasting these as fast as possible. As with all things in POE.

Boxes on way through, can die n get low on portals at times, pulled a double apothecary, n few double divine drops over last few days n tons of corpses n scarab n embers, is ton of fun

I would say yo, that this league you can pretty easily craft awesome 6xT1 bow yourself in graveyard - you will never find anything close to it. So I would focus on that if you haven't done it yet and need endgame bow. Doesn't matter phys or ele.
A what point do you unlock the strongbox craft on the map device? I don’t seem to have it yet on my ssf

Had a mirror drop from strongbox and dupe today and got 4 apothecaries in 1 hr. 50 quant and over 300 rarity char :)

Well, time for me to change strat from strongbox for a few days I guess.
I'd been trying animeprincess version for a while. One house of mirrors, two apothocaries, and one 7 years bad luck. All shortly after starting the set up, and then nothing
Also I find the strongboxes to be rather rippy. Between the opening effects and possibly getting mob locked or stunned blinking away.
My luck would be I get a divine altar on the last mob

@@panzerswineflu Getting your stun threshhold to 961% or more with an immutable force can nearly nullify a lot of stuns from the mobs blinking onto you on spawn.

what do you think about rushing the boss first to get rid of boss altar mods then only taking the quantity and div card altars?
That’s the best min max approach and good for people who would rather do that but that’s too sweaty for me
I've done this strat every league and found, well, zero Apothecaries.
So delirium is only for headhunter buffs, and not drops overall?
Deli gives quant and such to the map too but my main point for using it was for buffs. As the boxes are were majority of the loot comes from

yeah almost the same, the 15% chance is better if you are running vaal temple but there the div cards are kinda meh (amazing for farming scarabs tho)
I didn't get a single apothecary in like 200 maps with 40-50% quant lol I switched from fulcrum to Rf which has 0% quant and got an apo 10 maps in

From my understanding it is just the mobs yes but it is a lot of mobs

People forgot 100% harbingers explode on mirrors right??? I got 1 mirror and a half and not even.1 transformed to a full one. Harbingers is the real monster in this league it cost literally nothing but time to hit super hard
Im 300+ maps in and not a single apothecary yet, and like 2 raw divines 😳 and i have no idea how you survive anything in those maps, i go poof as soon as something looks at me and i have much better gear ^^

@@gimbaragno21 Scarabs, All-flames, Bubblegum Currency, fragments, leveld gems, i do the maps in sub 2 minutes, got divine convertion twice in 400 maps (that was 65+34 so 99 divines) i only run 8 mod maps, strict filter to only pick up stuff that i can sell for a decent margin. it all accumulates to large profit, and luck. plus i play like ALOT

Headhunters are like 5 div this league and that ventors is like 10c, if you do almost anything for a hour you could have the same
You overestimate me. Since I havent had the time to start this league yet, I would first need about 8 hours to reach maps. Then... I guess 5 more to reach red maps. At this time I have a half decent build with trash items, very few maps completed.
Could I play for one hour in tier 11s with a slow build? I assume I can do like 6 maps in that hour.
Of course I am the outlier here, since I have probably not played more than 100 hours during a single league since I started in Ultimatum (technically I started around warband league, but quit before act 2 and had a long break before coming back).
My standard characters had a grand total of raw 12 div and raw1500c from all my leagues.
But calling a headhunter a "basic trash item" seems very odd to me.

Mathematically it is only worth to take the openable again scarab over the +5 strongbox scarab, if your map contains over 33 strongboxes.
Ao outside of monstrous treasure vaal temple maps, you are always opening more strongboxes if you take +5 over the 15% to open again scarab

Your conclusion is correct, but your calculation or the number is incorrect. The chance to reopen a Strongbox is calculated using a geometric series. The convergence of this series can be calculated using the formula 1 / (1-q), where q is the chance to reopen a Strongbox. The regular tree has an 18% chance. Following the calculation 1 / (1-18%) = 1.2195122, a regular Strongbox has a value of 1.22 openings on average. With the additional 15% Scarab, a regular Strongbox averages 1 / (1-33%) = 1.49253 openings. The difference between the two is 0.27. Now, if you divide 5 by 0.27, you get 18.31, which is the number of Strongboxes needed for a +15% to be better than a +5 on its own. Therefore, the conclusion is that there must be 19 Strongboxes already present on the map for the threshold to be met.

You obviously not playing enough juice, change the delirium for beyond, vaal all maps, run a build that can handle anything.
One tip would be PoEGuys Siege Ballista build, that thing can run any map mods and quick.
You need to play 400+ juiced maps before finding a single apocathary if you’re playing solo. You ain’t finding shit cause you ain’t playing enough

Actually my gear was bad cause I was investing it all into cast when stun build when I learned about this and other mapping starts for tier 16 so I put together the most budget of gear so I could test then so the average player cause try. And I used and build around headhunter being cheap
