A dictator is a person who leaded a country by forcing the former leader to make them leader an example of this would be the baathists and the Chinese communists which both destroyed the government made a new government and a new leader
The original office of the dictator in Ancient Rome was quite different, actually. Dictators were appointed, and while they had a lot of authority, their powers were still limited. The office was also time-limited. The purpose was to solve specific problems, not to subjugate an entire nation. Some dictators, like Sulla, were considered tyrants during their lifetime, but many were not and the word "dictator" did not have the derogatory meaning it has today.

There is also a belief that the man who was burnt by Adolf Hitler's guards was his body double. It is believed that Hitler escaped with Eva in a submarine to Argentina and lived out his life alone in a secluded high security riverside villah mansion and no one found him. The suicide and burning of the corpse was just a ploy to close the hunt for Hitler. There are people in Argentina who have claimed to have personally seen Adolf Hitler after the war had long ended. If Osama Bin Laden could escape from Kandahar alongwith his 4 wifes and so many of his children and live a comfortable life in Abbottabad in Pakistan sheltered by the Pakistani Army secret service ISI and wasn't found by CIA and after long years of sustained search was found and eliminated. @@jerkbangusknight..1107 "We Filipinos"? Please do not presume to speak for all Filipinos because I am certain that you do NOT. I am NO fan of the "stupid housewife" you are referring to so I will NOT defend her. Let's, rather, clarify terms and concepts and look more closely at history. A "dictator" is a person who becomes head of state/chief of state by means OTHER than competitive elections and MONOPOLIZES all three powers of government: executive, legislative, and judicial, thereby subverting the two key principles of a liberal democracy: (1) competitive partisan elections and (2) the tripartite separation of powers. ALL the personalities mentioned in this video fit this category, some more extreme than others. FM was competitively elected head of state in 1965 but in 1972, while head of state, he launched what in political science is called an "autogolpe" or an "executive coup" and proceeded to abrogate the then existing constitution that mandated separation of powers and to combine in the office of the incumbent head of state (himself) all three powers of government. He remained chief executive but also legislated (through presidential decrees) and exercised the power to review and reverse judicial rulings (notably and notoriously through the military tribunals). Cory Aquino too was a "dictator." She became head of state in 1986 through a popular uprising (the so-called "people power" event) and proceeded to use her dictatorial power to write a constitution, through her minister of justice, that "legalized" her dictatorship - the so-called "Freedom Constitution" of 1986. But unlike FM who continued to be dictator until his ouster in Feb. 1986, Aquino relinquished her dictatorship in 1987 when a new liberal democratic constitution took effect following its ratification in a plebiscite (Feb. 1987) and a new Congress opened (July 1987). From dictator she was reduced to just president and chief executive, in keeping with the new constitution. Thus, BOTH were DICTATORS (following the definition given) at some point in history.
The valley of the fallen in Spain did not include the bodies of combatants from both sides, only Nationalists. Gaddhaffi did not die in an ambulance: he was dragged from his hiding place in a drain, attacked by a mob, sodomised with a knife and finished off by a gunshot to his head.

A Dictator by definition is One who rules. One who rules and dictates the lives of others. Considering that we only have just one life given, why, why do we permit others to dictate our fellow man?
True. The enablers who enforce their idea.
@@DellaStreet123 Funnily enough the term 'tyrant' was sometimes used neutrally, like in Ancient Greece, for individuals who took power without using typical means.
The USA is the biggest dictator the world has ever seen if your not on the American side then you're on the wrong side of history and maybe be subjected to sanctions America always ask countries to do this do that or else
Argentina was the favourite destination for the fleeing SS and Nazi top brass.
So it is quite possible that Adolf Hitler didn't die in Germany as it is believed. Russians just want to believe and move on. Germans don't care. Mossad desperately tried but couldn't hunt him down.
