You are 100% correct. Every invention has an inventor who used prior advancements. Even a cursory examination of the history of sciences proves this. One discovery leads to another. There was NOTHING advanced prior to now. Proof of logic: we would have found multitude of industrial garbage and plastic in archaeology. Most mythologies and religions claim this bullshit.
Zachary Boone you do realize it’s not as simple as “just sticking rocks in top of each other.” This blocks of limestone had an average weight of 2.5 tons per block, and back then they didn’t have the machinery we have today. Not to mention they didn’t just mindlessly just stick blocks on top of each other. You had to put it in such a way where the foundation could hand the weight of the structure, and the roof didn’t collapse on itself

This movie deserves far more attention then it gets, the similarities between different ancient civilizations is too much to be just coincidence yet we have no idea how it could have happened. Maybe Atlantis, maybe aliens, maybe something else
Or you can apply Occam's Razer and acknowledge that something all those civilizations had in common was that they were all humans and therefore had similar needs, desires, and psychology and the development of their cultures, religions, and societies reflect that. Not to mention the fact that we all originally came from the same African people and therefore possessed a shared baseline to build on AND we continued to have trade and cultural interactions all throughout human history. You got to admit, it’s a pretty cool idea and these back history scenes are pretty cool. Even though the movie is meh, these scenes are pretty good.
Meh? Outside of some of the awful characters this movie was fucking balling
@@tennebrae2606 True, I watched this a long time ago when I was a child, and in my teenage years. It’s better than I thought of before, but at least it’s not canon to either two series.
this movie was actually fire
So many yards in the comments saying the movie was bad like did you even watch the movie or are you going by clips you watched online like seriously. This movie is better than the first predator movie
2:11 super nuclear explosion: destroys everything within a couple of miles
Dutch running just a couple of steps to get away from the first explosion in the original predator: *pathetic*
Has it been 90 days sorry if my English is bad I’m not from England you can say that it was a bigger explosion because there where three predator instead of one maybe they all turned on there wristbombs and that made a bigger explosion
@@svenblaak7234 That would create 3 explosions of the same intensity.
They wouldn't combine to make a larger explosion.
Dutch messed some of that Predators circuits on that log tho
Actually he (the jungle hunter) was trying to send to the oblivion himself and a few hundred of yards around, because he was not hunting the Xenomoprh. That's why the explotion was quite small
0:58 - "Thousands of years ago, these hunters found a backwater planet: Earth. They taught humans how to built, and then they were worshipped as gods. Every hundred years, the gods would return, and when they did, they would expect a sacrifice. Humans were used to breed the ultimate prey. The hunters would battle with great serpents, to proof themselves worthy to carry the mark. But if the hunters lost, they may sure that nothing survived. An entire civilization was wiped out overnight."
The predators in this movie look bigger and more buff than in the previous ones.
José Zulueta correct. They ABSOLUTELY look HUGE compared to “Predator “ movie Predator. They are BIGGER for sure.👍
How they should really look.
It was a design choice. The production team wanted to make the ones in this film to have a more "heroic" build.
Also it could just be a different clan that's all. In the comics the clans are very diverse
wait till you see the predators in prison
Imagine a predator movie made with the same production, planning and care as Prometheus. I'd buy that for a dollar!
"Planning" I dunno about that, lol.
Requiem was really good except for the lighting.
And same cgi
I second that 👌
You made my day.
Prometheus is known to be bad (even if it was only meh).

They taught us how to build. Lol, that’s it? All they did was come to earth and teach us how to stick rocks on top of each other? Thanks but I think we would have figured that out on our own
You are 100% correct.
You had to put it in such a way where the foundation could hand the weight of the structure, and the roof didn’t collapse on itself
voip001 yup 100% true. 10,000 years from now the cure for lung cancer will be nothing more than a high school project.
gustavo lopez I do realize that but my point was it’d been nice for them to come show us more than that ✌️. Mostly I feel like it was lazy script writing. The writers could have elaborated on the subject more than they did
gustavo lopez 10000 years from now? We will either be gone or on different planets by then. Lung cancer will be a term not even understood

This movie deserves far more attention then it gets, the similarities between different ancient civilizations is too much to be just coincidence yet we have no idea how it could have happened. Maybe Atlantis, maybe aliens, maybe something else
Maybe you take it too seriously there bud.
Facts they always put it into movies
Not to mention the ancient nuclear war remnants found in the Sarah desert
Or you can apply Occam's Razer and acknowledge that something all those civilizations had in common was that they were all humans and therefore had similar needs, desires, and psychology and the development of their cultures, religions, and societies reflect that. Not to mention the fact that we all originally came from the same African people and therefore possessed a shared baseline to build on AND we continued to have trade and cultural interactions all throughout human history. That's a bit more plausible than magical hidden societies or interference from random alien races.
@@Bomtheone My dude, sand glass/desert glass like that are literally called impactites and are most likely made by a meteorite impacts. They did not have have nuclear weapons in ancient times. 🤦🏻♀

I really like this concept to be cannon. It's perfectly relevant. Yautja race hunting the most challenging prey, the xenomorphs. the real rite of ascension for a Predator.
It is Canon. face huggers and Yautjas are in the same Universe. Xenomorphs (face huggers x humans) are priced game hunts for Yautjas as shown in Predator 2. where a collection of skulls included a xenomorph skull.

Those brief shots of the endless xenomorph swarm storming the temple are so haunting. For just a few seconds, we get a glimpse of the doomsday scenario Ripley was so afraid of happening. Then, before our minds can process the scale of horror we're seeing, it's all over and back to being a nightmare hypothetical.

It sounds like you're referring to a temple located in the southern part of Mexico. There are several ancient and historically significant temples in Mexico, such as those from the Aztec, Maya, or other indigenous cultures. Could you provide more details about which temple specifically you are asking about?
An AvP prequel based on this scene will sell like hot pie, but we all know Disney will never do it.

As a kid this was the first alien and predator movie i ever saw. I thought it was bad ass then and still do to this day idgaf what yall say. The new Prey movie was bad ass too.
I agree with you completely. A little bit pissed off that Adolini gave Naru the Flintlock pistol.
He was supposed to give it to a predator who helped him fight his mutinous crew before he died . Now it's a mess . I can't think of a story line where a predator gets that pistol back from Naru then gives it to Danny Glover years later in predator 2.
Well not any story line that wouldn't be absolutely trash
I think prey and predators are different
1. Prey is weaker Since it’s prey
2. Predator is strong since it’s a predator
