- Part 4 and the last one of our Golden Days Weekend, On Sunday, July 21st, we squeezed in Dairy Day at Creamer's Field, The Midnight Sun Powwow and The annual Bathtub Races!!! We even caught the SS Nenana open for viewing! It was such a busy day!

Hello!!! 👋 I was driving back from Wasilla on Monday, we took our time, started out at 10:30 am and got home close to 8pm. The Midnight Sun Pow wow is a yearly event that is started with a rescue eagle being rehabilitated and set free. It's always while I am at work, or I would attend for sure. I try not to miss the bath tub race, it sure is different. I hear they still do the outhouse races in Anchorage, we have to go see that! I miss not having them up here. The food recalls are really starting to scare me, nothing seems safe anymore. 😢😱 Boar's Head was always my go to when I bought lunch meats. Thank you and I hope you are having a good week too! 🥰🤗🌞🌻🐾🐾

I always enjoyed going to Creamers Field in the summer, it was peaceful and a good way to relax.

Hello and Happy Tuesday, since yesterday was a day of driving back from the south, LOL. We do love Creamer's for sure. The bathtub races are a series of things that count toward the winner. The amount of water in the tub, the activity during the race, the speed... The paddleboat has always been there, it was in a different area though. Cold Stone is everywhere here in AK, we only have one though. Thanks again, you have a great week too! 🥰🌞🌻

There are 67 species of Sun flower 🌻 I enjoy them all but particularly enjoy the smaller one's which are often used in your bird seed.
Hot here too and no drought this month as normally happens. Concerns it might be a dryer winter. Not good for water table.

Wow! I did not know that, I really like the little ones with all the flowers, they look like bouquets. We are getting much more rain than we need, it's getting scary in the other direction. The weather sure is weird. Thank you and you have a great week too.
I hope your headache is gone now Sherry. Not fun. And Mary when you mentioned choc chip mint ice cream, that’s all I had to hear. Now I want some. lol. So sorry it upset your stomachs though.
I am not sure what triggered the headaches, may be the strange weather, but my usual "fixes" weren't working. It finally did go away that night. Thank you 🥰 None of us have ever had issues with the Cold Stone ice cream, I am wondering if they had a bad batch of milk or something? We all had different flavors.🤔

Omg those dioramas were awesome. Museum quality. So much history in that old river boat. Should be recognized as a historical museum. Maybe it is. I would love to see that. Reminded me of dioramas on night at the museum movie. Andy from life below zero said he worked on a riverboat. That's how he ended up in Eagle on the Yukon river. Fun video. Lots of unhealthy eating this summer. I know you walk a bunch. But carbs and sugar seem to really cause you issues. Joint pain, headaches. You don't look like you are putting on a bunch of weight. Just think you are someone that really functions better on low carb. I like doing low carb. Just because i know it is a more healthy diet for many reasons. I too go more carbs at times but i don't physically react to it negatively. Still like fasting. My go to always. Sending love from hot and steamy SD. ❤❤❤
Maybe that's what they should do to get help for funding to fix the riverboat! Have it recognized as a historical museum! Thank you, I will put a bug in someone's ear for sure. Yeah, all the carbs and bad food really do affect me, I will get back on track soon 😉 We all need to find what works best for us. I know the fasting and low carb work really well for me, for sure.
