I have seen over years of tracking this transit that issues/aka things we don't like, will come up to the degree that they still need resolution. If we have bee actively working on healing those things, then the cycle can bring amazing manifestation from previous work done. It can bring in many things hoped for in Venus' domain. I met the greatest man I have ever met while Venus was retrograde last month! We had the best time ever and we connected on an extreme level of ease and comfort! I trust this arcance science and even told him about it! He said he had the best time ever with anyone with me! I can't marry him ever? We have so much in common and enjoyed every moment we spent together! I was trying to be very careful with him during this time! He spent so much money on a resort last weekend and more! Hi :) how exciting! there are always caveats in ones personal chart that could supersede the general transits. If you managed to not 'solidify' your romantic connection, if you know what I mean ;) that leaves more room in the direct energies for the energies to gel for the long-term. But even if you did move into that part of your romantic connection, not all relationships that start during venus retro are doomed so keep the faith that this is the real deal but do try to wait until towards the end of May or June to actually get engaged, move in together, or making any other big decisions like that. I agree about everything looks beautiful. lol. With this current transit, I have finally let go off the past relationship baggage I had. Since my baggage has been eliminated I find myself extremely willing to take on a relationship even with people I previously would not consider.

Astrology could be so spot on sometimes to the point where you're just not fazed or creeped out by it anymore. My long distance partner just came back from where he works for the weekend. Lol, it has actually grown much longer than it is now because I have cut it a lot over the last 6 years since I starting growing it out! I was born in a shadow period just before venus retrograde began, so most of my life Ive had venus retrograde in my progressed chart (n still another 11 years to go). Does this mean when venus goes retrograde it has less impact ? Or could be positive? This time round the venus retrograde transits my natal sun in leo n my natal mercury too.
2021 into 2022...For those of us that celebrate Christmas, Venus retrograde will be starting soon before, with the shadow period starting a little before Thanksgiving...can you imagine all the gift returns??? Yikes! My husband is a last minute shopper too. I'm going to try to purchase gifts early if I can, and for those I can't, try to be sure about the purchase. And receipts...saving all the receipts.
Today is the 6th day of the retrograde, and my sister just went to pick up her brand new car, lol. Thankfully, she and her husband had made the purchase before the retrograde started this year (2017). An abusive horrible relationship I was in finally broke up during a Venus Retrograde period and I thank Venus for this! Although we had broken up before the retrograde already but I let him back into my life. In some cases, if you get an opportunity to get out during a venus retrograde period, run for it!!!!!
I am glad you are out of it! but notice how you had broken up before the venus retro and then let him back in then when it broke for the final time during venus retro it stuck... that is different than someone breaking up for the first time in venus retro. that is why I advise people who are having to make that big decision to use the retrograde to plan and be sure because many people who break up during a venus retro will regret the break up if they don't wait until the energy clears to be sure. glad you are on a better path! I left a difficult relationship on the last day of a venus retro, it was the second break up and it stuck and I am so glad!

To avoid love beauty and money issues for 4 months just seems extremely unrealistic and honestly this video made me feel sad and isolated. Didn’t really hear any good parts sounds like we have to avoid love and beautiful things for 4 months and if we do these things it will backfire. Love the topic of Venus, and considering retrogrades, beyond Mercury, is a nice twist. I do however have a vision of retrograde in which it is a great time to do things related to a planet's energy! That is, beyond the caution of what not to do during retrogrades. Part of a distinct spin on Astrology maybe, in that it looks at what TO do.
Hi! I definitely also talked about what TO do! and I agree it is great to focus on the energies at play, just through looking back, as a way to move more strongly forward from the review. Retrograde is a fantastic time to take stock of things involving love and money and work to strengthen weak spots and further support strong spots in each.
I was not so clear in what I wrote, was thinking about specifically this process of review, like an opportunity for a reorientation of, in the case of Venus, VALUES, that which underlies our interest in money and love, and what we attract through our values. So my 'what to do' refers to being able TO get the cosmetic surgery (for example) as a result of the reorientation... or maybe realize you don't want it. In this view the retrograde isn't a time "not" to do things, but, through looking back and reviewing, your resulting personal "update" allows decisions that are more aligned. :)
Care is definitely a tagline of the transit but also remember that much magic can pour in from this transit, too! and yes, with Venus making its transit through the signs that you have placements it is likely things will be more apparent from the transit. Yes, it can bring challenges if there is something unresolved that is seeking resolution but it can also bring in manifestations that you have been wanting for a long time.

Hello, we're moving house in a couple of months. It's a shell of a house and I'm going to have to decorate the whole lot to live in, so I 'have' to invest in flooring and decorate. Would you recommend I invest in the most basically basic flooring that I can't bare, or just go with the mid range etc? Would you recommend curbing my enthusiasm in general for the remodeling of the house or are there ways I can investigate the best way to do it? Perhaps doing old ideas I fancied for my dream house rather than new designs? It's a potentially short term house but could be a loooong term. This can take about 8 weeks, but we're not sure when the work has been started as it is a social housing property and they're not being transparent. My first calculation was the 26 th November, but two weeks after the calculation they saud they had not yet even got the keys to the property, so it can be up to three weeks later than the 26 th November potentially. ♥️ Thank you so much for responding, astrology can be so much fun, interesting and handy.
Hi, Uyanga ~ Finding work could be well-favored now, just keep in mind the term of the position may be shorter than expected and will favor types or work, contacts, etc. from the past over new companies or new line of work. A new position now is more likely to be a transition position but that doesn't have to be a bad thing! Try to get anything promised in writing as some things may be withheld. hello Annie! What about writing projects in this period or developing bussines plans? Or even applying for a Business degree? For me this period has been pretty great work wise ( I got some freelance projects) and some energy to start new things (in planning mostly) and I have to say that my Venus is in Capricorn, in my first ASC house (Sagittarius). I don't know if it is related or not, but by the end of the month, I received a collaboration opportunity, but it smelled sketchy. I didn't knew the woman. I initially agreed to a meeting to discuss more, but a few hours before, I changed my mind, and cancelled the meeting. I am still thinking if maybe I was overthinking about it or not, but hey, sometimes the gut know better than we do. Anyway, it has been a very full month (with good and bads), but very interesting as well. :)

Venus retro is a great time to try things on, education, etc. but since Mercury is also retro now, if the business degree is longer term (like an MBA?) then you may want to tune in to see if waiting until mercury is direct and the heavier part of the post transit shadow period has passed before stepping into something of that magnitude. Venus retro is great for brainstorming about business plans and both Mercury and Venus retro are great for writing. Just know that things are more likely to change or turn out differently than expected, which doesn't have to be a bad thing, it is just a time when clarity is fleeting and unless it is something that is short term or a low risk venture, it may benefit from the stars towards the end of February and beyond.

Just keep in mind that some people feel desperation to sell something during venus retro and that sometimes manifests in taking much lower than the asset is worth because of that desire to 'just be done with it'. If you feel strong in being able to navigate through this well AND you are also very certain that you actually want to sell the house, then it could be fine and the retrograde can actually help you by bringing you money from your house in the form of the sale :) Look up St. Joseph kit for selling houses, too :)
Hi, Annie! I'm wondering about a situation I have coming up. I have an event early this October 2018 where I know I will see someone from my past that I've had a romantic interest in but it never became a relationship. An unforeseen event caused me to not be able to see him again for some time. If we were to start a relationship at the pre-shadow phase of Venus retrograde could it possibly work out since I knew him as an acquaintance before? Hey, LA ~ don't worry! your situation is exactly the kind of romantic thing that could work out. the fact that it never became an actual relationship is fine because the romance sparked out of the retrograde and is coming back in it the shadow. if you make it official in the pre-retro shadow period that would be better than making it official closer to the retrograde but since you won't see him until October when it will be retro or really close to it, just try to take thing slow for until towards the end of December. try to not make decisions like getting engaged, moving in, getting married, etc. and also feel carefully into the sexual element of the relationship because extra caution could still be necessary there. sometimes there is information that hasn't come up yet and it could turn out to be relevant, something you wish you had known before getting closer. but you situation could still hold a good long term potential so take the time of Oct - through end of December to ASSESS this rather than making the decision about it if possible. if you can leave the arrangement flexible as you 'try it on' then you can just take it all in and make bigger decisions later on. it is a fine time for something casual and fun in general. keep in your mind if you feel drawn to do something crazy that you may not be seeing clearly. Hi, Jess! That is a really great question and one I have never been asked before. In general I would say that the whole year would likely bring chances to wrap up unfinished business but I definitely wouldn't block a whole year out by avoiding relationships for all that time because sometimes Venus retro brings in fated relationships and/or opportunities to heal an old pattern. Sometimes the healing of the old pattern requires a shorter than expected relationship which matches the retro energies. Discounting a relationships value because it may not be longer term could miss important opportunities and assuming that anything that comes in during that year won't be long-term could also be an incorrect assumption. The guidelines that I give in my teachings about retrograde would still hold - such as experimenting with business, relationship, and other venus-related topics, in a way that doesn't permanently bind you to them. Trying something on in love or money in a way that you can easily get out of if it doesn't work for you or working with things that have plenty of space to evolve, also matches the energy. Thanks for an interesting video. Annie, some legal action (kind of a claim) from the counterparty concerning property (in a divorce division of a property) was initiated beginning of Feb. I had premeditated my action (against the other partie´s initiation)) since beginning of February, but due circumstances and strategy, sent the actual initiation against the claim to district court (kind of a Magistrate´s Court, sorry, do not know the English words used) 2nd March. This 2nd March sent initiation means that I will need to send a written statement to the district court in which I state the plural evidence to support my opposing the opponent`s (and his lawyer´s and the executor´s ) claim to get the property sold (by the executor of the division). I think my timing is as right as it could be in these specific circumstances. However, I am interested in considering the venus retrogr. I definitely must send my statement by 17th March. The selling of the property by the executor (I am opposing this) would be disadvantegous to both parties. However, since me and the opponent are not in speaking terms, he does not seem to get the facts (Neptunus transiting opposite his Mercury) due his lawyer (collaborates with the executor...). I wonder in what way this retrogr. Venus might affect the situation? I´d be terribly glad if you could answer with a few lines. Of course I realize you cannot sy much, but what comes to your mind.

I am sorry you are having to deal with this stress :( It sounds like from what you describe that the flow of the timing was somewhat out of your hands and the outcome is set up to have some negative financial consequences from the forced sale already (a typical side effect of the Venus Retro energy) so I would just not worry about it and let it flow as it will. Also, we can hold the hope for the other, more positive, potential of financial dealings in Venus retro which is to have money come 'back' to you from something based in the past. So maybe, even though selling won't be best overall, you will get some money from it that you can use to create more money. Also, since things initiated in the time near or in Venus retro, can be reversed or notably changed, maybe something with the opponent will shift allowing for a win-win for you both. I love using the H'oponpono for this - the Hawaiian forgiveness prayer (you can search about it online) to work on the lesser seen energies between you and the other person to help shift the energies. If it is affordable to you that could be totally fine. If it is a hobby course then as long as you can afford it, Venus doesn't rule it. and if it is something for your profession, this is a great time to study and work on enhancing current profession or starting to train for something for the future. Some aspects of your intention with the work may change over time and be different than when you started the course, but that can be perfectly fine.
pre and post shadow periods carry the same energies as the actual transit. any aspect to a combusted venus placement can more easy overstimulate the places in life ruled by the sign you have venus in and the house it is in.

Lol, it has actually grown much longer than it is now because I have cut it a lot over the last 6 years since I starting growing it out! One day I will talk about this in a book but you can see one piece in a video I made called Longer, Stronger Hair Cutting with the Moon Cycles - just search for something like that and my name on UA-cam and it should come up.

What about venus retrograde in a progressed chart? I was born in a shadow period just before venus retrograde began, so most of my life Ive had venus retrograde in my progressed chart (n still another 11 years to go). Does this mean when venus goes retrograde it has less impact ? Or could be positive? This time round the venus retrograde transits my natal sun in leo n my natal mercury too.

2021 into 2022...For those of us that celebrate Christmas, Venus retrograde will be starting soon before, with the shadow period starting a little before Thanksgiving...can you imagine all the gift returns??? Yikes! My husband is a last minute shopper too. I'm going to try to purchase gifts early if I can, and for those I can't, try to be sure about the purchase. And receipts...saving all the receipts.

An abusive horrible relationship I was in finally broke up during a Venus Retrograde period and I thank Venus for this! Although we had broken up before the retrograde already but I let him back into my life. In some cases, if you get an opportunity to get out during a venus retrograde period, run for it!!!!!
I am glad you are out of it! but notice how you had broken up before the venus retro and then let him back in then when it broke for the final time during venus retro it stuck... that is different than someone breaking up for the first time in venus retro. that is why I advise people who are having to make that big decision to use the retrograde to plan and be sure because many people who break up during a venus retro will regret the break up if they don't wait until the energy clears to be sure. glad you are on a better path! I left a difficult relationship on the last day of a venus retro, it was the second break up and it stuck and I am so glad!

To avoid love beauty and money issues for 4 months just seems extremely unrealistic and honestly this video made me feel sad and isolated. Didn’t really hear any good parts sounds like we have to avoid love and beautiful things for 4 months and if we do these things it will backfire. We are currently in the midst of a worldly pandemic and I’m going to have to start my own business in order to survive and make money, and I’m going to have to move to a new place soon.

Love the topic of Venus, and considering retrogrades, beyond Mercury, is a nice twist. I do however have a vision of retrograde in which it is a great time to do things related to a planet's energy! That is, beyond the caution of what not to do during retrogrades. Part of a distinct spin on Astrology maybe, in that it looks at what TO do.
Hi! I definitely also talked about what TO do! and I agree it is great to focus on the energies at play, just through looking back, as a way to move more strongly forward from the review. Retrograde is a fantastic time to take stock of things involving love and money and work to strengthen weak spots and further support strong spots in each.
I was not so clear in what I wrote, was thinking about specifically this process of review, like an opportunity for a reorientation of, in the case of Venus, VALUES, that which underlies our interest in money and love, and what we attract through our values. So my 'what to do' refers to being able TO get the cosmetic surgery (for example) as a result of the reorientation... or maybe realize you don't want it. In this view the retrograde isn't a time "not" to do things, but, through looking back and reviewing, your resulting personal "update" allows decisions that are more aligned. :)

Care is definitely a tagline of the transit but also remember that much magic can pour in from this transit, too! and yes, with Venus making its transit through the signs that you have placements it is likely things will be more apparent from the transit. Yes, it can bring challenges if there is something unresolved that is seeking resolution but it can also bring in manifestations that you have been wanting for a long time.

Oh my gosh BWAHAHAHAHA I bought and cancelled a boob job during this retrograde! 350CCs, he was gonna go in through the nipple YEESH LOL I had to pay $1,000 for cancelling just three days before the surgery. I was just too conflicted, and I'm happy to have spent the money to learn such a valuable lesson about my own values and intuition
so true. any time madee a purchase during Venus retro I've always ended up disappointed after the fact. I am having gum surgery on the tenth. I was scheduled a year ago to have it done bit had to cancel due to other obligations so I think it should be OK..... I hope.

Hi :) re. your surgery, is it cosmetic or medical? if it is medical, then you are clear. especially since march 10th is clear from the mercury retrograde energies which I don't like as much for surgeries unless they are absolutely necessary.

Hello, we're moving house in a couple of months. It's a shell of a house and I'm going to have to decorate the whole lot to live in, so I 'have' to invest in flooring and decorate. Would you recommend I invest in the most basically basic flooring that I can't bare, or just go with the mid range etc? Would you recommend curbing my enthusiasm in general for the remodeling of the house or are there ways I can investigate the best way to do it? Perhaps doing old ideas I fancied for my dream house rather than new designs? It's a potentially short term house but could be a loooong term. @@AnnieBotticelli hi, well this is the thing, we're experiencing delays (handy delays for me) because there is asbestos to be removed. This can take about 8 weeks, but we're not sure when the work has been started as it is a social housing property and they're not being transparent. My first calculation was the 26 th November, but two weeks after the calculation they saud they had not yet even got the keys to the property, so it can be up to three weeks later than the 26 th November potentially.

Hi, Uyanga ~ Finding work could be well-favored now, just keep in mind the term of the position may be shorter than expected and will favor types or work, contacts, etc. from the past over new companies or new line of work. A new position now is more likely to be a transition position but that doesn't have to be a bad thing! Try to get anything promised in writing as some things may be withheld. But overall, some great opportunities for work. best of luck!

hello Annie! What about writing projects in this period or developing bussines plans? Or even applying for a Business degree? For me this period has been pretty great work wise ( I got some freelance projects) and some energy to start new things (in planning mostly) and I have to say that my Venus is in Capricorn, in my first ASC house (Sagittarius). I don't know if it is related or not, but by the end of the month, I received a collaboration opportunity, but it smelled sketchy. I didn't knew the woman. I initially agreed to a meeting to discuss more, but a few hours before, I changed my mind, and cancelled the meeting. I am still thinking if maybe I was overthinking about it or not, but hey, sometimes the gut know better than we do. Anyway, it has been a very full month (with good and bads), but very interesting as well. :)

Venus retro is a great time to try things on, education, etc. but since Mercury is also retro now, if the business degree is longer term (like an MBA?) then you may want to tune in to see if waiting until mercury is direct and the heavier part of the post transit shadow period has passed before stepping into something of that magnitude. Venus retro is great for brainstorming about business plans and both Mercury and Venus retro are great for writing. Just know that things are more likely to change or turn out differently than expected, which doesn't have to be a bad thing, it is just a time when clarity is fleeting and unless it is something that is short term or a low risk venture, it may benefit from the stars towards the end of February and beyond.

Hey, Lana ~ this could be a great time for you to put your house up, specially this week is even better. Just keep in mind that some people feel desperation to sell something during venus retro and that sometimes manifests in taking much lower than the asset is worth because of that desire to 'just be done with it'. If you feel strong in being able to navigate through this well AND you are also very certain that you actually want to sell the house, then it could be fine and the retrograde can actually help you by bringing you money from your house in the form of the sale :) Look up St. Joseph kit for selling houses, too :)
Hi, Annie! I'm wondering about a situation I have coming up. I have an event early this October 2018 where I know I will see someone from my past that I've had a romantic interest in but it never became a relationship. An unforeseen event caused me to not be able to see him again for some time. If we were to start a relationship at the pre-shadow phase of Venus retrograde could it possibly work out since I knew him as an acquaintance before? How do I put him off if he's interested without me looking disinterested or sounding a little nutty talking about astrology and fearing it will ruin the relationship? Hey, LA ~ don't worry! your situation is exactly the kind of romantic thing that could work out. the fact that it never became an actual relationship is fine because the romance sparked out of the retrograde and is coming back in it the shadow. if you make it official in the pre-retro shadow period that would be better than making it official closer to the retrograde but since you won't see him until October when it will be retro or really close to it, just try to take thing slow for until towards the end of December. try to not make decisions like getting engaged, moving in, getting married, etc. and also feel carefully into the sexual element of the relationship because extra caution could still be necessary there. sometimes there is information that hasn't come up yet and it could turn out to be relevant, something you wish you had known before getting closer. but you situation could still hold a good long term potential so take the time of Oct - through end of December to ASSESS this rather than making the decision about it if possible. if you can leave the arrangement flexible as you 'try it on' then you can just take it all in and make bigger decisions later on. it is a fine time for something casual and fun in general. keep in your mind if you feel drawn to do something crazy that you may not be seeing clearly. I will hold the vision with you of awesomeness :)

Hi, Jess! That is a really great question and one I have never been asked before. In general I would say that the whole year would likely bring chances to wrap up unfinished business but I definitely wouldn't block a whole year out by avoiding relationships for all that time because sometimes Venus retro brings in fated relationships and/or opportunities to heal an old pattern. Sometimes the healing of the old pattern requires a shorter than expected relationship which matches the retro energies. Discounting a relationships value because it may not be longer term could miss important opportunities and assuming that anything that comes in during that year won't be long-term could also be an incorrect assumption. The guidelines that I give in my teachings about retrograde would still hold - such as experimenting with business, relationship, and other venus-related topics, in a way that doesn't permanently bind you to them. Trying something on in love or money in a way that you can easily get out of if it doesn't work for you or working with things that have plenty of space to evolve, also matches the energy. I have a list of guidelines for working with Venus retro in my book Planetology ~ How to Align with the Natural Rhythms of the Universe. Blessings on you journey!

Thanks for an interesting video. Annie, some legal action (kind of a claim) from the counterparty concerning property (in a divorce division of a property) was initiated beginning of Feb. I had premeditated my action (against the other partie´s initiation)) since beginning of February, but due circumstances and strategy, sent the actual initiation against the claim to district court (kind of a Magistrate´s Court, sorry, do not know the English words used) 2nd March. This 2nd March sent initiation means that I will need to send a written statement to the district court in which I state the plural evidence to support my opposing the opponent`s (and his lawyer´s and the executor´s ) claim to get the property sold (by the executor of the division). I think my timing is as right as it could be in these specific circumstances. However, I am interested in considering the venus retrogr. I definitely must send my statement by 17th March. The selling of the property by the executor (I am opposing this) would be disadvantegous to both parties. However, since me and the opponent are not in speaking terms, he does not seem to get the facts (Neptunus transiting opposite his Mercury) due his lawyer (collaborates with the executor...). I wonder in what way this retrogr. Venus might affect the situation? I´d be terribly glad if you could answer with a few lines. Of course I realize you cannot sy much, but what comes to your mind.

I am sorry you are having to deal with this stress :( It sounds like from what you describe that the flow of the timing was somewhat out of your hands and the outcome is set up to have some negative financial consequences from the forced sale already (a typical side effect of the Venus Retro energy) so I would just not worry about it and let it flow as it will. Also, we can hold the hope for the other, more positive, potential of financial dealings in Venus retro which is to have money come 'back' to you from something based in the past. So maybe, even though selling won't be best overall, you will get some money from it that you can use to create more money. Also, since things initiated in the time near or in Venus retro, can be reversed or notably changed, maybe something with the opponent will shift allowing for a win-win for you both. I love using the H'oponpono for this - the Hawaiian forgiveness prayer (you can search about it online) to work on the lesser seen energies between you and the other person to help shift the energies. Hoping for the best for you both :)

If it is affordable to you that could be totally fine. If it is a hobby course then as long as you can afford it, Venus doesn't rule it. and if it is something for your profession, this is a great time to study and work on enhancing current profession or starting to train for something for the future. Some aspects of your intention with the work may change over time and be different than when you started the course, but that can be perfectly fine.
