This is a really lovely table , from a time when beauty and practicality was normal for many people . Made by caring crafts persons. The Antiques Road show. Is a show I love to watch . The plate featuring Quern Anne probably was one of many , the expert said so , it is very respectfully done . And I feel the amount of money that they would go for today , reflects not just the time that the objects have lasted till. But also the quality of the products .
I used to flip antiques. Little tables were my specialty. I can tell you that if this table came up at a really good auction, you could add two zeros to that £2,000 price. Not because it's "worth it", but because it's VERY RARE. You may never again find another, especially in this near mint condition. And because there will be three rich bidders that know this. £200K is chump change for some people. Look at the insane amount of money paid for some mediocre pieces of "art ".
This table has put me into a psychedelic state of mind. Much more sensual than any burlesque show, but not very different. Astonishing. All sensual pleasures are the same
“Well, all I can say is that I’m very relieved we had such a strong nail in the wall.”😂
Reserved English dignity.
I chuckled at that 😅

finally. Been waiting decades for this to be uploaded 🔥
That! Is mahogany!
Strong nail indeed!
Strong nail or not, I suggest to put it on sturdy base in a display cabinet. And insure it, please.
I would easily pay 2,000 for that table.
That was the value 30 years ago.
it would be around 4,500 today

How about doing what antiques roadshow does and updating the prices to modern appraisal value?

@@StamfordBridge One night nightstands? 😂
@@TurtleTube123 For shame with your wanton wordplay! These stands are made of virgin timber!
Today I learned that "gadrooning" is a thing
I've just burned that exact piece at my mates parents summer cottage during a party. Oh crumbs!🤢😨😳
I just smashed that exact piece at my mates summer cottage during a session that lasted for 8 days! I blame the alcohol.
Who is the specialist valuing the Queen Anne plate?
Someone with an appalling dress sense.
A very calm reaction to be told your plaque is worth 14,000 pounds! Imagine what it is worth now.
accounting for inflation, at this valuation, 38K USD
But i'm sure this appreciated in value beyond inflation.
@@three-card-dead Yes, but what is in pounds, as the valuation was in pounds.
Do you need a TV licence to watch this?
Probably , but I won't tell anyone if you don't .
Yes, please go away.
o crumbs
I'm British and find this too British for me.
I'm 40 now, and I didn't realise that people actually said "oh crumbs" within my lifetime.
I'll give you 2,000 pounds for that table.
