Man...You will never see this message. But i have to tell you : i'm near 39 years old, and i've just cried after hearing your message at the end. I listen a lot your covers. You already know that they are amazing, i really like the passion you give when you sing. But your kindness and the feeling that you care so much about everyone when you talk, you are amazing too Dan ! And for any person who may read this : please don't let your current suffering make you choose an irremediable path. We care about you, there is always someone who can listen to you. Dark times aren't made for all the life ; they're just lessons to guide you to another way. Stay safe Linkin parks or Dan Vasc fans.
It was nice to see you take the time at the end of the video to address what happened, and to give your words to your viewers. It really shows what kind of a man you are.
I've said this before, Dan, you are a very special person. God has given you many gifts, one is caring for people. You reach out with your music, and then when you talk after your performances. I'm 62 and I still learn things with these words of wisdom. You come at things in a different way, and it helps me to look at things with a new perspective. Thank you so much.
Your heart is as big as your voice and I mean that as an ultimate compliment. Love your work and your words here. Both forms of your voice speak volumes, both through lyrics and words 🤍
The lyrics to this song are too real to me personally that I’m having difficulty responding to the absolute mastery of this rendition of Chester’s music
How very insightful, Dan, to realize that those that check out on life are not giving up on themselves. They gave up on us. Makes me want to give everyone a bug hug and the reassurance that there are still caring folks in this broken world. Thank you brother.
Dan, you are a very loving and kind individual...this is what makes you unique with your talent...you care about others...I love your cover of "Numb"...You excel in every song you do!!! So much passion in your heart!!!
Damn it, I am watching this now, and as someone who is fighting with depression right now, the message at the end hits in a different way, thank you for your words.
It's been a few years now since Chester took his own life, and your video made me cry. Thank you so much for addressing such an important issue, and for the amazing cover. Linkin Park was my first rock band when I was 10 years old, and his loss feels like a wound that will never heal. Hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷
Seriously did anybody else cry because of his words at the end? It's not just his voice that is moving but his words too. Dan you can feel the raw emotion.
For some, it's been a life long battle. Literally since pre- grammar school. I pray for the children all across the world, and for every adult's inner child, to find the strength, courage and goals to feed the good wolf within, instead of its opposite who also resides within. Thank you Dan, for sharing your white wolf's powerful message with us.
I just came from the "You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)" - JOSH GROBAN cover, and now this one... It's hard not to drop a tear, but still It's necessary. The message you give in the end of the video is super important. I love your covers and admire you as a singer, but I admire you the most as a person. Thank you Dan, for everything
This is the first time I have heard your cover of "Numb." The raw emotion in your vocals is truly amazing. Your words at the end made me cry. Numb has been a go to song when my depression is bad. All I can say is thank you.
I'm a Registered Nurse. Thank-you for your message to get help. There are many therapists who can help someone struggling with depression. They're easy to find. God bless you Dan.
Found this after finding your page from some of your newer music. Your words at the end were very appreciated. Needed to be heard even all these years later. Thank you
Woah, I wasn't prepared for that message at the end. I haven't cried in a long time but the sincerity of your words broke me and damn, I wanna hug you now and say thanks. Really, thanks.
Ele faz falta até hoje 😢. Ele tbm era uma "força da natureza". Sua versão e suas palavras foram muito emocionantes Dan Vasc!!! Vc, Daniel, parece ser muito intenso e verdadeiro. Congratulation...always, Dan Vasc/Daniel too👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have to thank you for the things you say after the song. I suffer from depression too (but have never been suicidal) and you wouldn't believe how important it is to hear, even from a stranger, that I matter, that there are people who like me the way I am and who want me to be there, to be me. The world needs more people like you, who accept mental illness and talk about it from time to time. Thanks again - and the song was wonderful, as everything I came across so far.
Tiny Table Wargames Ehhh I don’t think That’s accurate. There’s learned helplessness involved, that you keep trying to improve things and you can’t, so you either stop trying (why bother and then be disappointed and a bigger failure?) or you lose hope things will improve and find how they are intolerable. Like, if you’ve been in Hell for years and it looks like it won’t ever end, why not just skip the misery? Added feelings of shame and lack of value because of depression absolutely help that along, being a drag on your friends or family, not being as good or ‘strong’ of a person as you’d like, etc, help fuel suicidal ideation, that the world would just be better off without you. But while guilt may reduce the odds of continuing to try to get help, or reaching out, suicide tends to either be after being worn down til you’re out of hope, or a more... act of passion in the moment when an opportunity or crisis arises. Both of which aren’t super guilt based. Also, none of my comments are meant to degrade or demean the mental state and processing, self talk, that I mention; part of my knowledge is from having and having seen people with clinical depression and major depression, suicidal ideation, discussed others’ suicide attempts post-recovery, etc. As soon as I heard about Chester’s death, by the way, I ended up thinking of the lyrics to The Messenger, “when you feel you’re alone, lost in this cruel world, your instincts telling you to run, listen to your heart, those angel voices, they’ll sing to you and bring you right back home. .... When you’ve suffered enough and your spirit is breaking, you’re growing desperate from the right, remember you’re loved, and you always will be. This melody will bring you right back home.” I wished he could feel what we felt when hearing that, and have had some comfort in it.
This was the band, the song, that kept me alive when things were unbearable. Hearing this cover and your words at the end reminded me of that, how grateful I am for that. I’m hoping somehow he knows how much he means to so many people.
Dan, I am 67 and am absolutely captivated with your voice! After Sounds of Silence and Amazing Grace I would love to hear you do something from Phantom of the Opera... I've heard Antonio Banderas and I think you could blow him away. You have such an operatic quality to your range... go get em my friend, you have the world at your feet and GOD loves you.
Thank you for your end message. I struggle with depression on a daily basis. Mental illness is associated with so many horrible stigmas, it is always refreshing when someone is willing to speak up and let the world know it's nothing to be ashamed of. Not many people do that, so a genuine heartfelt thank you from every person like me

One of my favorite singers covering a song from the best music group ever. I honestly listen to LP every day. Just the best group ever. I’ll always miss Chester. We r actually trying to build an animal shelter in honor of Chester. Called the Bennington animal sanctuary. I’ve struggled with suicidal thoughts and I’ve tried to end my life several times. I had flat lined, so I wasn’t just asking for help. I truly want to die. I love how Mike Schnoda made up the #makechesterproud hashtag. He didn’t want others copying Chester by ending their lives took. Chester is a legend, and legends never die.
This was my first introduction to this song. I…had a friend that could not continue on this earth. Fortunately she was found in time. We spoke a lot as it was so hard for me to understand, and so hard for to make any sense of it for herself. It is so hard for us who remain when others have gone ahead, earlier than what should be. Peace does not always come easily. My sympathies…

Holy shit, man. You are the ONLY person I've heard cover this who did Chester's voice justice, and I've heard a lot of covers since he died. Thank you.
Dan, I have suffered with depression and anxiety since I was 16, I'm now 57. Two yrs ago I left who I thought was my soulmate, because thru most of relationship, he kept getting worse with his abuse. We were together for 25 yrs! I left him many times, but he always managed to sweet talk me back. But the last time, I found my self with a broken nose and eyes so swollen and purple I could barely see. And a slight concussion. He beat me with a baseball bat, a hammer to my head 3 times, fists and his cane. When the opportunity finally came (with the cops), I finally just said "yes, he's been beating me for yrs". If I didn't speak up that day, I know I'd be dead now. I just want to send this message to ANYONE, female or male, to get out as soon as you can. I was cut off from everyone I loved. DO NOT let this happen to you! I'm alive, but am now struggling with PTSD on top of everything else. But most important, I MADE IT OUT ALIVE! There is help, more than ever now for whatever trauma you're going through. Dan, I just thought that being the wonderful, kind person you are, you might be able to help me spread this message. Especially after your kind words at the end of your tribute to Chester. Thank you for all your beautiful covers, metal and ballads. Keep on rocking for your biggest fans, like me, and all the many yet to come. Blessed Be, my friend.
Dan, you ve left me in tears. Not only the great cover! Your words after. I am fighting depression since over 10 years and I have been suicidal many times. But I have help! Too bad, many people still think, that people with depression are not ill. Thank you for your words, Dan, they mean a lot to me. Love from germany!

I got mad respect for Chester, I sing alot of karaoke and have a blast doing so, but I dont sound good and cant do justice to his music. You sir did justice to Chester, and his music. And the message you gave at the end about awareness flawless.
Keep rocking dan an I'll keep listen!
Bro! The message at the end left me with tears! I think it's important to remind people that they're important and I'm happy you did that. Sending love :3
Bennington didn’t kill himself. Cornell didn’t just die. Thanks for this.
People need faith, my brother
When you talked at the end of the video, I had tears in my eyes. Amazing cover of Numb, by the way. ❤
RIP forever a part of me Chester. Nice version.
Beautifully done…. Love this song and love your covers… beautiful message after the performance as well… 😢 ❤ Recently became a fan of yours… 😊
R.I.P Chester Bennington
Your "clean" Voice is like an angels. Pure goosebumps
Thank you Dan
I already admired your work as a vocalist and great taste in music, now looking into the end speech I cannot help but admit I wish more people out there could use their talent like you do, I really mean it Dan congrats on being so awesome dude, keep rocking on
Wow, talk about hit in the feels.
I've been enjoying your videos greatly and only now stumbled upon this. You seemed like a cool dude and a great artist but now I know you're a good person. Recently I feel like we're suffering maybe not from a shortage of good people, but from an overburden of bad things. Linkin Park wasn't my entry into heavy music, but it was a big part of my music taste, still is and I was deeply saddened to hear about Chester.
You're awesome Dan, keep rocking on, peace \m/

My husband of 2 years was a surfer. 2 years have passed and all is magic😊
Such an amazing final message: “please, don’t give up on us yet” 🙌
That was a faithful, beautiful tribute.
Your voice is so awesome. A really good cover of one of the best songs of Linkin Park i would say.
RIP Chester

I loved Chester, he could really sing. Now I love listening to you because you can really sing! I share your songs; I especially love the Christian songs and share them to Christian sites. Love you Dan, I expect you to be singing in God's choir when you go to Heaven, Amen!
